  1. There's a trailer too. And nah, no point applying and taking someone else's spot if I'm unlikely to use it. Already in enough betas I'm not playing as it is.
  2. And read it. The comic(manga) is quite a bit different in many plot elements to the film.
  3. Chronicle. PRetty good, and yeah there's many times when you're wondering "why are they recording this?" as is an issue with many "found footage" type films. Housemate commented it's somewhat Akira-like. In many ways predictable, but yeah still quite good and very much a "if random teens/twenties got telekinesis this is likely what would happen".
  4. http://signup.elderscrollsonline.com/ Beta sign-ups. I got to the final box of "why should you choose me" and realised I just don't care for MMOs.

I like how when they say the 90's brought Super Mario they show NSMBW, rather than one that's actually from the 90's.

  7. Dawn of War II : Retribution. It seems I'd actually started it some time back, must have only beaten like 2 levels though. Surprised to have beaten it so swiftly(well..on the same-ish day I started. Forgot it was relatively short). All good though, can't wait for a DOWIII on the hopes it'll get made. Some Tau would be nice...
  8. Hmmm..... We might still have that around. Also it was Crash Team Racing that was our karting game that got fucked up when littlest sister popped it out the disc tray then put it halfway back in and closed the lid. Thankfully you can buy that on PS Store.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drKifHr5UsU So this is has pretty much just happened. God that could have ended up completely different live footage. I have no idea on the why of the attack. Also the Algeria thing is supposedly over. 11 militants and 7 hostages dead. http://www.bbc.co.uk...africa-21101092
  11. I think Fringe Season 5 is perhaps showing that a 13-episode series can work, and work well. Not a minute of season 5 was wasted. It was a rather fitting end to the show.
  12. I'll put a smile on your face:
  13. I've only played with the tutorial on the first time around.
  14. Playing Normal. It may be "early on" but it's still weeks of game time to get enough engineers, cash, and have the power stuff built and base excavated and satellite uplink starting being built. By which point enough of the "pick one of three" missions have come up that 1/3 of the globe is in high level panic. The issue isn't the combat, is the base. I'm doing alright at the combat side of things at the moment; on current playthrough I'd only lost two guys by the time terror mission rolled around. Just I'm clearly messing something up on the base side of things if I've not got the research/engineering in place to have any extra satellites up and the improved gear in place.
  15. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.distractionware.superhexagon Folks had been banging on about it. Duke posted about it on Twitter. Picked it up. Forgot to try it in the 15 minute window. Woops on that. Dunno if the top review is smoking something or if it's my phone (the Note can sometimes be an advantage and sometimes a hindrance in games with the screen size) but the controls for a game built around a 7 sided shape are not "tight". I'll see if any updates come (might be a generic issue with a bad port), then probs hit him up if nothing specific arrives as Note can be a weird one to support.
  16. Need to advance the game a bit though to unlock the ability to build workshops though so they're not much of a shortcut either. The missions to get engis and the workshops crop up around the same time.
  17. Oh that sucks. I kinda figured since they were a cut-scene mission they were somewhat story based. Like because you'd interrogated X amount of aliens/advanced story based research to a certain level you'd get these kinds of missions.I'm getting better at keeping my guys alive, so they're leveling up more. Gotten the armour in place too which I hadn't managed before. Still not enough against the Chrysalids. I've seen stuff around the web saying to build satellites ASAP but you need a minimum amount of engineers which you won't get until a mission crops up offering engineers (and even then you still fall short with just one of those missions). So I've yet to be in a position where I've had the right amount of cash or engineers to launch any more than the default satellites. (So I'm probably doing something wrong there)
  18. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-01-18-all-skyrim-dlc-coming-to-ps3-in-february Skyrim DLC coming to PS3 in February, will be half off in launch week.
  19. I get the point of the Terror Missions; how the fuck do you survive (let alone beat) them. Enemies that are nearly three times more HP than anything faced beforehand, that caused shit tons more damage and replicate is a bit of a leap from one mission type to the next. Best I can tell you're either meant ot send in rookies as fodder or skip them. Really not sure what you're trying to say here. Both you n JayClife had previously said you can stall the game advancing by not doing the mission based research (i.e interrogating the aliens). Yet the Terror attack still happens.
