  1. http://kotaku.com/5577227/this-is-kotaku It's been a year and a day. So how many people here were banned that day?
  2. I'm pretty sure that's someone elses welcome.

    Trade Shows

So since it's getting closer n closer, who is actually off to Eurogamer Expo this year?
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnGj4wxsNZY&feature=youtu.be
  5. Just had grubbed rustled up for me at Toms new place. Rainbow Trout, asparagus, new potatoes, broccoli and parsley sauce on top. Was pretty nice. Tomorrow I shall be making Stir-Fry for them. Which seems to be my speciality.
  6. I'm currently missing FFXIII. I lent it to Ben, but he played a bit n stopped. However I'm now wanting it for Shameless Gaming Month. He's popping round later this week I think so hopefully get it back then.
  7. Rockstar didn't have them all the way. Was originally a Sony published game, then Sony dropped them due to going over budget. It seems the studio is plagued by bad management.
  8. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-07-05-rockstars-disdain-for-la-noire-dev Not looking good for Team Bondi
  9. Right then, anyone wanting a Google+ Invite since the method I'm using seems to work (though with a huge delay) just give a shout up here (I can see your emails anyway)

The link works, but it's not an open invitation. Too bad, because some of the features look quite radical.

An infinite number of invites you say!? In that case, I think I'll pass...

  10. Transformers. We were going to watch Green Lantern but all that was running then was the subtitled version. It was okay. I think I liked it more for the cast than anything. I'm not too caring for CGI heavy films with lots of shooty shooty and such. It wasn't the total fuck up of the last film, but it was okay. I'm kinda confused just how many artefacts there are around Sol mind. They could just keep churning these out. I'm doubting they will though. And we only went to see it cos we hooked TV up for first time in a long long time and there was an advert for Harry Potter (I'm hyped)
  11. I'm on UK7. Haven't played in a while though.
  12. You've never seen a computer do that?
  13. Dragone Age: Origins: Never Buy Bioware Games New Edition. It was cheaper than buying all of the DLC, never mind getting the expansion pack. Which means I may dump my disc copy of DA:O on Tom or Ben.
  14. But not in a "my skin is stretched over the mesh that is my face" kind of ugly. And it got especially bad when it wasn't human races. Only Orks and Argonians seem to get away with it (The Khajit still look iffy despite having a tiger face). Some people look fine, but most not so much. The women especially.
  15. I am the music man, I come from down your way and I can play What can you play. I play the piano. Pia-pia-pia-no, pia-no, pia-no; pia-pia-pia-no, pia-pia-no (Well the keyboard, and not overly good, due to space restrictions I've not had it with me at Uni so probably lost all I had learnt with it.)
  16. So I'm watching Fringe when I notice something odd. It's odd because of the Episodes http://dl.dropbox.co...s/Fringe_01.PNG http://dl.dropbox.co...s/Fringe_04.PNG http://dl.dropbox.co...s/Fringe_11.PNG Did the continuity crew get fired, or is this explained at some point later on or earlier that I missed? No one seems at all confused by his phoning and walking about on crime scenes n such. I shall highlight the "Fox" in the corner and I'm aware they have a habit of messing up the ordering of shows from time to time. Thing is this Charlie isn't going on any typewriters, nor is Olivia still having bowling therapy. So it doesn't seem like it's out of place in the ordering. edit: http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/12/22/fringe-goes-back-to-season-one-for-unearthed-a-never-before-seen-episode/ Yeah turns out it's a Fox thing.
  17. It's cos "person says Games aren't the saviour of mankind" posts get decent amount of hits on kotaku. Not surprised he'd run it if he thought he could get away with it. Even less surprised on the update. I do like the "you can't watch this clip in your country" notice though. Very classy compared to most.
  18. I'd say stick un der budget, thus allowing you t o pick up more games, and just upgrade at a later date. It's all modular, just get better parts over time.
  19. So I now have Google+. Anyone else? I'm unsure how to invite, but I will when I can figure it out.

Okies. I shall keep a peak. Also Duke there's no need to send me a written out email address. I have them all anyway :P

  20. Of note: Nearly everything you named there is available in NA only. Conorr is from UK
  21. I'm going to say "It should do you for 2 years" buuuuttttt it kinda depends on the consoles at this point. They might make a sudden leap within the next years (though I'm doubting it) that would push PC upto a new plateau. As for MoBos, sorry no recommendations. Are you aiming to go for SLI or not? Cos that can be a big factor. If you don't care for SLI it opens up more doors on MoBo options but closes the door to going for SLI at a later date.
  22. Aye, a great but sad ending. I love the visuals of Brazil.
  23. Yeah I'm a Nvidia guy myself. ATi's are cheaper, but Nvidias have a few more features and better support from and for games. ATi's do get updated by Steam though. (and it says "sapphire" because that's the company that makes them. Nvidia and AMD just supply the chips, other companies assemble the PCB and stick connectors on back and fans etc.) I'm gonna agree with Masterdex on swapping that Seagate for a Spinpoint. I assume you like to keep your data? Get a DVD drive too. Blu-Ray might be overkill for now. But you'll always need some kind of disc drive. I've mentioned of my netbook, have a ton of old games that would run fine on it's specs. All on disc. Had to go n rip them all. If you have no DVD drive you can't even rip them. Add a mouse to the mix too (we have a thread), maybe a gaming keyboard, but they're not required so much. The main part that makes mine "gaming" is it's missing the Windows key. It has macro keys but I don't use them for games Maybe it's part of the i7's having a GPU on-board but I don't see the need for a motherboard with DVI and HDMI when your'e getting a dedicated card. (I've not had a proper oggle at sandy bridge systems yet). I don't see much worry with lack of crossfire/SLI because in my experience while it's a nice thing to have, by the time your current card is ageing you have the cash to pick up the latest high end card anyway. The main reason it's missing SLI/Crossfire is because it's a Micro-ATX MoBo. You have a full ATX case so you can go bigger and more spacious if you want (your fingers will love you for it). The MoBo ain't bad, it's just you may be able to do better if you have a fish around. Oh and your PSU may be overkill. Yeah go good, but I doubt you "need" a modular PSU or at that wattage.
  24. I'd always recommend 12 monkeys first if people are wanting to get into Gilliam. It's by far his most accessible film.
  25. If you feel yourself part of the majority then yes. majority =/= everyone. Don't take it so personally.
