Just to point out but they're not linking story up and for anyone unaware; Far Cry and Far Cry 2/3 are made by different people. So don't expect the usual Crytek "here's some people to shoot and now for something completely different" storyline. And yeah I'd imagine there will be a fair few mechanical/engine similarities between 2 n 3. tbh Dunia was a really nice engine, so I'd be fine with it staying as is.

Did you say Cletus Clay and mean that? As in the plasticine game? IF so I am slamming my stake right in that. I played the original years back, was pretty quirky title. I thought they closed years back.

So I'm on Episode 5. I'm going to guess the observer is in Ep 1-3 just only until ep4 that he is pointed out? Also Episode 5 actor for Walter has gotten quite in character.

Reminds me of "Gaspode the wonder dog" from Discworld books. He's a talking dog which means he goes "woof woof" and "Bark" as words. (btw of note: Cats only meow at humans. To them it's the only way they can make us pay attention. Cats don't meow with each other but use methods we don't comprehend at all.)

But that takes just as much time to re-route halfway across the country to avoid a check point. They're annoying both ways. If say they only re-spawned after a couple days that'd be neat, but they respawn as soon as you're out the area.

So what you're implying then is that me and Yantelope are being conned out of our GPU cycles? And you're putting a lot of assumptions in this whole "it's based on sale of illicit drugs" cos tbh while the system n the supposed untraceability could lend a hand in that (which it's been shown that like most P2P networks it's not exactly anonymous) from my experience with it up to now I can't see it being used by many drug users. Unless there's a fair bit of linux running GPU farm owning drug lords out there.

Well from my understanding BitCoin does have a policy behind it on it's growth n such. Unlike other currency which can from time to time just....well you know. And I can tell you now I won't be using it for illicit goods and there's a fair amount on non-illicit places that accept them. FSF aren't exactly an illegal operation. Not denying they're not used to buy dodgy things, not like regular cash isn't either so it's a bit of a moot point to bring up. I don't really get what's to hate.

So yeah now I remember why I disliked Far Cry 2. Fucking guard points. Thing is it's "guard point scouted" doesn't do anything though like clear it out (like safe houses do), or add any particular advantages. So everywhere you go it's these annoying segments of stop car, get out shoot people (since your machine gun on back is generally pretty shitty), get back in car, or one of there's since yours is probably fucked, and go your merry way. Rinse n repeat a few times and arrive at mission.

I have been. Only ran it for a few hours since. I've got 0.005 of a bitcoin at the moment. My card isn't very powerful (15hash/sec compared to 350 on the top end Radeon) It's a bit badly documented on setting up n getting in a pool or what not. Even if I only manage to get one bitcoin it won't be half bad, seems a fair few sites up for using them.

Yeah you don't die. Just it incapacitates you mid battle and it's annoying. Anyway popped back on it today. Wish I had Game Save Manager back in the day. I kinda like it just throws you out. Pops up "you have now done the tutorial, feel free to do whatever the fuck you want".

I know. Just pointing out how EA games popping off Steam n EA keeping future games to themselves, yet Valve don't seem to nonplussed on yanking ties with EA. Which does seem weird. They've have quite a long-ish working relationship as dev n publisher, seems odd that EA now seem to have Valve right in their sights atm.
