  1. I've not pre-purchased a game in a while but usually unlocks for midnight. Heck 9AM would be fine, at least that's in-line with game stores opening for a regular console release. By 6PM vast majority of those have closed and there's only 1/4 of the day left.
  2. The majority of the crockery, cutlery n pans are mine and one other housemates so we'd only be fucking ourselves over.
  3. This convo just came drifting into my room: "Lewis you should clean your plates" "If you leave them long enough they magically clean themselves"
  4. I'm kinda bummed that now it's close enough to have the hour countdown on Steam it's showing it won't come out until 6PM on the Tuesday which is kinda balls. That's like most of the tuesday gone by that point.
  5. From what I've heard Prague is pretty Prague sized. DXHR only had Detroit and Hengshea, rest of the game was all areas you got shipped to by Malik (unless you let her die like GOH) and honestly they were pretty decently sized, given we've gotten more disc space to play with I imagine those are scaled up equally too.
  6. Picked up Zues+Posideon from GOG cos I had £4 credit with them that'd expire in September so works out free. Heard it's meant to be a nice improvement over Ceaser III which I rather enjoyed when younger.
  7. We had G4S providing security for the 2012 olympics, turns out they were shit and lied about what they could do, so ended up with the army coming to help cover the shortfall. And yet G4S are still given billions each year to do all sorts of government operations (including prisons too)
  8. Our local is an Asda but it's only a small one (was a Netto back in the day, it'd likely be an Aldi/Lidl if it wasn't an Asda. Our closest big one(that'll have an electronics section) is an hour away other side of the city centre, but tbh £11 for what'd be a pretty kick ass xmas present for a young un isn't too bad. Especially if it turns out you can homebrew em and put like NES stuff on it too (Then my dad'd be stoked too). Hmm. I'll be in city centre Monday, so it'd only be an extra half hour to walk. I'll check online Monday morning n see.
  9. My interest piqued when he turned into a cup of coffee.
  10. Some Emily gameplay from Gamescom.
  11. Home made arc furnace, as you do.
  12. Pumped up by the above stuff I've jumped onto the Duscae demo again (I'd had some bugs that stopped my playing too far the first time but it's had a few updates since). It uses square to attack in that (though there's quite a few things different from the above videos such as not having the d-pad thing for picking individual weapons) so I dunno. Likely an options to remap, or different control schemes. There usually has been in FF titles. Quite interesting to see what has stayed the same and what has changed. For example Cindys workshop is more sort of 50s American diner style in Duscae but it's more Cids workshop in the main game and called "The Hammerhead" with appropriate forecourt design to match. There's also a regular sort of looking general store next to the garage in the demo, but in the above video it's the restaurant/shop/mark place with a more circular design. Duscae also seems to be much larger in the above too. The camping mechanics are mostly the same though you get given what you're given in the demo. Combat wise you do pick different weapons for different slots so you have multiple weapons at once, but it's in the moves you execute how/when they're used/summoned (such as a parry, forward thrust, initial attack etc) rather than on your d-pad (d-pad left/right is used to pick your special attack which use MP and are equipped alongside your weapons (as in like the lance you can equip gives you "dragoon jump" n Bloodsword gives you "drain"). Team mate combos are a tad fiddly to execute, not seen any sign of them in the above so dunno if they've been scrapped or not. The nice thing in the above video that's missing in the Duscae is a mini-map, can be a pain when you get the red alert up top you're spotted/walking through a predators path, but cos it's shrubbery you can't make anything out right away and have to do a 360 pan to find the enemy. It's really quite nice in a lot of the incidental animation. Noctis will wipe his brow after a bout of sprinting, the small shrubs give way as you walk through them. The other team mates kinda do their own thing, they're not just "follow leader = 10m" type AI. Sort of a bit like the conversations in Mass Effect too, but hear being the same team at all times I guess they can do more focus on that since they know who is with you and where so easier to write response scripts. It feels like a kind of like a 8th gen version of FFXII in many aspects. I kind of hope the team mates have some kind of gambit system so you can have them compliment your playstyle (They each definitely have their own unique play style, one favours the big buster like swords, other guns, and other short daggers). In the demo you're a bit limited, just got Noctis to minimally update. I think actually that's a big thing missing from the newer public demo is the areas and the other team members. Just having Noctis means it's more compared to single PC action games like Witcher, when it's more on par with the ME and DA bioware titles.
  13. I saw that deal too but was like "eeehhh I've heard $6 worthy things about it but too much other stuff". Only got 5 days to wrap up Witcher 3, not sure I'll make it unless I have a bumper Sunday (I'm out most of Saturday).
  14. You know I'm pulling your leg right?
  15. "history" being making a single maligned console-focused sequel
  16. I'd say it's weird there's no save import but I guess the dirty console peasants are left out of luck on that one. Storywise she's unlikely to show up purely cos she works for Sarif and Jensen no longer does. Pritchard might pop up maybe in some capacity (I hope so. I felt they had an friendship going on).
  17. "No Jensen, you *cough splutter* save your-*Adam just strides on by and heads to the lift*-WELL FUCK YOU!"
  18. Uber to roll out self driving cars at the end of August http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-37117831 Always their eventuality. If you're a taxi driver atm I'd maybe invest in a bit of training on the side into some other job. Maybe not one a robot can do.
  19. Launch trailer is out. Pt2 of the recap (seems they're leaving it pretty vague if Malik survived) Also Deus Ex GO has launched.
  20. $2? Here's it's dropped by £6, that's ~$8 (oh gods I remember when that'd be more like $10)
  21. I've put in a request. Also Iv'e an email off Amazon or "last chance to pre-order deus ex". It's for £42 on console :/ (GMG is £23 for PC)
  22. So having watched all of the above video now: - The fog is pretty cool - Like that the hunts are back, seem like FFXII style. - Seems to be a choice system in place which I believe is a first for a FF game, though I doubt it'll be overly complex. Mainly shown for like bartering on price of completing some hunts, decisions made in how to proceed in some quests. - Driving looks cool and the chat between them all looks quite good. I like that each of them also has a weird arbitrary skill that levels up such as survival, cooking, fishing and photography. - Petrol gauge is the wrong way around for some reason. - Not a huge fan of the southern drawl but eh. - Only stickler I think for me will still be the combat, but seems you do get some flexibility in using magic n such (you draw elemental power from places of power or what not and use that to "craft" magic spells) - It is rather damn pretty. So yeah, looking forward to it (assuming not delayed further than November but with the stuff they're rolling out I think it's fairly close). Also the first 12 minutes of Kingsglaive. Not watched yet.
  23. How'd you word your refund request? It's a bit silly they don't automatically drop the cost if they do a pre-order price decrease like Amazon does.
  24. Rayman Origins for free https://club.ubi.com/#!/en-US/ubi30 Also Beginners Guide is in the $1 range on HIB atm.
  25. I follow Rich Stanton who has been banging on about it (though frequently any game he's playing he bangs on about, loves the Souls stuff). Seems like might be my cup of tea but it's Early Access n plenty on my plate so might put it down for next summer or something.
