Well they already had the first Xbox, so they can't exactly go that route. Why not? Man, you had my hopes up. I saw the "Why not?" and an image that was loading, and was expecting Zoidberg. Got a movie poster instead.

I think this may actually be the DLC. I fired up Portal 2 and the challenge modes are already there, which were previously stated to be part of the DLC.

Looks pretty mediocre graphically, and those aliens are too fucking slow. I guess they have such speed due to inability to aim of console players.

Upcoming champ looks fucking amazing. If you hated Kog'maw being able to snipe you with his ult, you'll hate this guy. Xerath, the Magus Ascendant Abilities: Ascended Form (Passive): Xerath feeds on arcane power, making him increasingly resilient to physical harm. He converts a percentage of his Ability Power into Armor. Arcanopulse: Fires a long-range beam of energy, dealing magic damage to all targets hit. Locus of Power: Xerath anchors himself to source of magical power, increasing the range of all spells and granting him bonus % Magic Penetration. Although he is immobilized while Locus of Power is active, his movement speed increases upon disabling the ability. Mage Chains: Deals magic damage to an enemy and marks them with Unstable Magic. The next spell Xerath strikes this enemy with stuns them. Arcane Barrage: Calls down a blast of arcane energy, dealing magic damage to all enemies in an area. May be cast up to three times before going on cooldown.

Yes. Vanguard is based almost entirely around close-quarters combat. It's also extremely fun (the most fun class in ME2, imo), much better than what it was like in ME. You get a charge that knocks back any enemy in the game and refills your shields.

Sanctum update is out, for those of you that play. New tower, weapon, and map. There's more too, but it's paid DLC.

The mod scene for Minecraft is ridiculous. So much of it is incredibly game-changing. A shame they all break with every patch, though - but the creators are usually pretty good about updates.

Notch also jokingly tweeted a picture of an "Ultra Hardcore" mode that removed the Premium status from your Minecraft account upon death. The Hardcore mode is real, though.

They didn't have an actual release date, but rather a release window. It was originally slated for release on Q4 of 2011.

Diablo 3 has been delayed until 2012, because Blizzard felt they couldn't do the series justice if they tried to release this year. There's only one armor set that actually lets you mix and match the pieces, and that's the Kestrel Armor. It's an amazing set for Vanguards, Infiltrators, and Sentinels. The Firepower Pack gives you some pretty powerful weapons. The Mattock is a semi-auto rifle, but also extremely powerful. The Phalanx is a heavy pistol that users a laser instead of the cross hairs when you zoom in - it's harder to aim while moving, but the shot will always hit where the laser is pointing, and it packs quite the punch. The only armor set that's really worth it is the previously mentioned Kestrel Armor, and only if you play one of those three classes.

Speaking of which, any weapons you pick up in ME2 will transfer with your save to ME3. The Firepower Pack is worth it, just for the Mattock alone. The Phalanx is an incredibly beefy heavy pistol too.

No no, I'm with you there too. I honestly don't see how ME2 "dumbed down" the RPG elements. All that really got dumped was the atrocious inventory system, and the combat in both ME and DAO was pretty slow-paced.

I thought all of the mission DLC for ME2 was good (much, much better compared to what DAO and DA2 have been getting). Overlord was pretty solid, as was Stolen Memories, but LotSB and Arrival took the cake.
