Does anyone know any recent attach rates? I'm sure I read fairly recently that the Wii's isn't as bad as everyone thinks it is. I did try looking but couldn't find any info that wasn't many years old.

It's actually white, but looks cream in the picture. If it toasts the bread that evenly it will be some sort of miracle. It's really hard to get a nice 4 slice 2 slot toaster, the dearer ones tend to be 4 individual slots, but they're no good for tall bread. With the 2 long slots you can lay/lie* the toast down on its side. I don't know why it's so hard to make a toaster that fits bread in it as that is their SOLE PURPOSE. it's not like people can't accommodate a toaster that is 5cm taller in their kitchen. Jesus, I'm actually riling myself up about it. pretty pathetic. lol. *I swear I've looked up which word to use a million times but it just won't stick in my head

someone posted a video a while back which I can't be bothered finding about how hundreds of years ago the monarchy were short of money so agreed to a deal with parliament that the monarchy would have regular payment prom the Government. In return the Government would receive the profits from Royal land. As time passed the deal got better for the Government to the point where they make more from the land than they pay out in the purse. That means they make a profit for the country not including all the tourism and publicity they provide. edit: Dean beat me to it. got a bit distracted by my pad thai.

The greatest Controller of all time!
TheFlyingGerbil replied to Battra92's topic in General Gaming Chat
I had a similar experience. I was mostly playing on my PS3, and was wondering why everyone was making such a fuss complaining about it's controller. Going over to the 360 for a few games and I didn't particularly feel it was better but then I went straight back to the PS3 where I usually have a bit of a gap I could barely bear to have it in my hands. It felt cheap and nasty and a lot less comfortable. I also had the problem, which strangely only seems to occur in Assassin's Creed of my thumb gradually sliding up the stick if I run for too long. It's pretty annoying when you're just about to catch someone and you have to come to a standstill to reposition your thumb. I don't know if this makes it my favourite but the only controller I don't remember having anything to complain about was the gamecube controller. -
"So I acquired a PS3 at Christmas, but I've been out of the loop for a while" waiting for the heat to die down?

LP, do you draw men? I'm too lazy to look through 12 pages but I can't recall any. If that's true is there any reason for it? Are the characters you do draw part of a story/world you have in your head.

I burned myself out on Sly Cooper so I've abandoned that for a bit (hopefully not forever like I normally do). I've gone back to Final Fantasy XIII after a very long break. I'm on Chapter 5 which was enough for me to not want to start over and while I have a vague recollection of the plot I can't remember what all the names refer to, pulse. cocoon etc and all the different sections of the armed forces. which doesn't bother me too much as I'm sure it will all make sense at some point. It's reminded me however of my problem with certain RPG elements though. I have a total fear of committing to an upgrade path. I can't help feel like the second I start upgrading a weapon I'll pick up a better one and will have wasted my limited upgrade materials on the one sat there in my inventory like an accusation. I don't really get the fighting either. I think it's because it's just too much for me to work out tactics for fighting, like what enemies are weak to certain types of attack, staggering and all the ailments and stuff so I just use autobattle and hope for the best. Calling up the oidin horse thing is the most confusing to me though. I had this awesome looking thing on screen and it did about as much damage as if the enemy had stubbed it's toe. I'd been playing for more than an hour before I remembered you could change over to medic and heal yourself, lol. I am enjoying it though. I just hope the fighting doesn't get to a stage where you have to actually know what you're doing to progress.

Funny, cheesey, ones that might actually work (is there such a thing?) Does anyone actually use them? Put your best/worst ones here and any funny stories involving them.

I think the only reason for the day/night cycle was the changing of the guards wasn't it? I know if the chief of the borgia tower escaped you;d have to wait until they changed over at sun up/down to try again. You were also supposed to time your attacks for the change-overs but i could never be bothered with that.

God, I hope not. I hated walking around with eagle vision on you could see absolutely bugger all. I could only imagine myself getting stuck in literally every tree between me and my objective if that's the case.

I'm just waiting for the day I get to make Harry's red head sticky.

who likes/wants the monarchy, and who doesn't?

erm... he got help with one of the two demos so that's "people"

hope you haven't all seen this already - it's Xenoblade Chronicles running in Dolphin. I'm pretty sure someone mentioned that in here/on a status update. If nothing else some of the pictures would make pretty epic desktop wallpapers.

Kind of doubting anyone browses this forum on their 3DS so I won't bother putting links in here, but there are people making games that are playable in the 3DS browser.

That's the kind of offer GAME specialise(d?) in: amazing out of stock offers

If you don't want to lose points, I'd retract that last bit, Nintendo have already said the next 3DS Zelda game will definitely not be Majora's Mask as they don't want to release two remakes back to back.

What are you listening to now?

Surprised when I heard Robyn lyrics in there. May have to dig that album out, it's got some good songs on. -
I wouldn't agree they were all talk and no action. Labour now and Conservatives when they were in opposition all they'll ever say is that the Government plans were awful but would never actually give any alternatives but Lib Dens always seemed to have fully developed plans for what they'd do. What I don't get is why people are surprised that the coalition is making decisions that are not what the Lib Dems would choose. They're like 1/5 the size of the Conservatives so of course it is mostly Tory policy that is taken and somewhat mitigated by the Lib Dem presence. It would take a miracle for Lib Dems to get a majority Government. Remember how popular they were before the election? They were actually leading the polls but tjat simply doesn't matter in this country. The problem with general elections is that 90% of Labour/Conservative voters will not chaIt nge who they vote for regardless of what the parties actually do. Labour in particular is a completely different beast from when a lot of people started voting for them, there's whole generations of families that have voted the same way. It's quasi-religious.

Been waiting for ages to get these. L.A. Noire and AC:R are the complete versions anad I got all three for £43 so I'm quite happy.

Well, I may be the only person left in the country who think Lib Dems would do a good job.
