  1. i totally loved the arrow storm in brotherhood, it killed all the guards and even your target if you could see them, even if they couldn't see you! It's almost like something you'd get from a cheat code.
  2. I much prefer our @ positioning right next to the shift key for emails addresses. Also, just found the coolest character ever: °ᴥ°
  3. First off, I only but new games, but since I have such a gigantic pile of games to play through, I generally wait for them to drop to around" £20 I'll think about it" and "£10 to £15 I will buy". Even at this price I've seen games go down by £10 before I've got around to playing them up playing it. Wouldn't like it if I ended playing them when they're £30 less than I paid! The only games I pay more for are Nintendo games as they tend to only drop in price very gradually, and never get to the low prices of other developers. Even then I've never paid RRP, as they're easy enough to get at £5 or more off at launch. so usually around £25-£30 and will often get them at launch as the prices actually seem to go up for them after the stores have finished battling for the day one sales.
  4. the GAME has closed in our town, but the gamestation is still open. I can't tell which of the games are pre-owned or not so I didn't buy anything. Not that the prices tempted me. Nothing I already bought was cheaper, and nothing I wanted was cheap. e.g. Skyrim and Catherine were both over £40. Was hoping to fin meteos, but my search continues
  5. anyone played/liked red johnson? It's reduced at the mo, but reviews are mixed

it's a PSN exclusive point and click adventure. That's my favourite genre but I'd like someone to recommend it as the reviews are mixed but it's only £4, so I may just buy it anyway.

It's not bad. I got it for free, and it's probably worth only slightly more than that.

What's most disappointing is that it's apparently his 'Chronicles' or whatever, but... It's literally one case. And not a very long one. You can also work out who did it pretty early on, but you still have to prove it and take them to court which is cool. The art style of it and some of the mechanics are the main draw I'd say.

Point and click on a controller?

  6. really, who doesn't think pasties are more interesting than politics?
  7. yeah, I phrased that badly, I didn't mean a more detailed story, just that the game seems to be flying by very quickly. How long does a playthrough take? seems like it's only going to be 7 or so hours? I'm trying to get in the habit of swiping, but I find it a bit hard on the pad's stick as it feels like you have to push it really far which I've never noticed on other games, I would actually like to use the directional pad, but the left stick seems to be in my way. which I've also not noticed on other games.
  8. Started 3D Dot Game Heroes today. Sort of enjoying it. I do like the style, but mostly it just reminds me how many improvements Nintendo has made to Zelda over the years. The forward thrust being the standard sword attack instead of the 90° swipe is really frustrating already as you can be standing a tiny fraction of side to an enemy and you miss it and having to stand just so in front of signs and people is annoying. Also, the 'moblins' fire arrows at you from off the screen which is just rediculous. The save system is well shonky too though I believe that is alleviated by a tent later in the game. The side quests don't seem to be well sign posted either - especially considering they don't stay available the whole time. I'm on the second temple at the moment, and haven't been playing long at all, so I hope they beef up the story a bit as at this rate it's not going to last long at all. And despite the moany post I do want it to be a decent length as I am enjoying it.
  9. Finished AC: Brotherhood yesterday. Feeling slightly bored with the series now, though I will be buying Revelations: ottoman edition when it hits £20 (or maybe £15).. Rather annoying that the trophies are glitchy and it autosaves. I had to start a new save to get some of the story related ones. glad it was only in sequence 2 not 8 or 9! I will go back to try and get the multi-player trophies, and if I can will get the rest but for now I need a break. I don't like that some of the flags are in the romulus lairs so I've got to go back through those. I also didn't particularly like Rome, it didn't feel coherent somehow, and although there were different areas, I missed going to different cities.
  10. love the 'jesus... I wish this would end now" moment around 1.15.

  12. That's the worst bit of the game in my opinion, I gave it up for about half a year at that point. If you get past that it's nowhere near as stupid for the rest of it.
  13. Bought them off PSN, as they're on sale, they are five separate downloads/games which I like, but the sly ones add up to about 25GB, which I don't like!. Quite frankly my mind boggles at how they can get them to that size. I'm going to have to download them one at a time over the next three nights.
  14. yeah, you can buy Ico or SotC separately for £9.69 each.
  15. Ico & SotC HD Collection is £15.99 on PSN, plus an extra 10% off if you're a PS+ subscriber. Quite pleased as the disc is refusing to drop in price below £25. The sly trilogy is £9.99 too. Would anyone recommend it?
  16. Wow, you can get anything at the supermarket these days.

  20. Someone wants to use my donkey photo on their religious fb page & blog. I like the idea of someone using my photo but not as religious propaganda. WWJD? What would YOU do?

I agree with Dean. I'd say no. I wouldn't even bother explaining why. Make sure you keep an eye on them in case they use it anyway. :)

I don't know if I'd say no straight out. See what context they want to use it in first, even if it is a religious blog, its use may be entirely benign.

I'm kind of surprised they actually asked in the first place.

  21. Thanks for clearing all that up, TME. (With my demonstrably limited knowledge) it seems to make sense that the Government would block that then.
