Have I missed something in this thread? I seems strange that no one has mentioned the new companion.

The thing about Nintendo is, they won't rush a game for launch. If it's not ready in time, they simply won't release it until it is. It's good in some respects, but obviously from a driving sales point it is not ideal. I do wonder if they have a more next gen online infrastructure they may change their habits to the more common release-then-patch method. I personally hope not, but I'm sure it must be tempting.

rather than after and til we'd say quarter to and quarter past etc. Though I use them I do think it is slightly old fashioned and most people over here would read the numbers too. Like Fuchikoma said, I guess it's linked to the rise of digital watches/phones. I know loads of people just don't wear watches at all now and just use their phones to check the time.

This really annoys me. It's sinful to fornicate outside marriage, but they don't want to allow gay people to get married, so they are deliberately setting gay people up to feel wrong, sinful and excluded. That's one of the main reasons I think Christians don't want gay marriage, as it takes away one of the main ways that homosexuality is sinful according to the bible.

Are you enjoying Da Blob? I keep meaning to get around to it. I'm playing Sly Cooper 2 at the moment. Not enjoying the bits where you play as Bentley and the hippo, but overall I'm enjoying the series so far.

From an interview with ACIII's creative director: The three most popular fan suggestions for ACIII were WWII, feudal Japan and Egypt all of which he dismissed as boring. the idea he was most interested in was a setting of the Raj era India. Sounds quite interesting to me and we may have a hint of where we're headed next after they've run the American setting into the ground.

the minimap looks confusing and I don't really like that there is a gun in the selected weapons for all the screen shots as that's my least favourite weapon in the game. I really hope it doesn't turn in to a cover based third person shooter for the fighting sections.

Saw The Driller Killer today. Quite famous for being banned for ages as a 'video nasty' so I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I thought it would be really cheesy OTT gore-fest and so bad it's good, like the evil dead but it was just plain bad.and surprisingly not graphic at all.

Doesn't matter why you got it as long as you give games on there a fare shake. People seem to dismiss Wii games out of hand just because of the console they're on. (not saying that's what you're doing, just that's what tends to happen)

Just finished Sly Raccoon. I've never played it before and really enjoyed it, more than I did Banjo Kazooie. I started it at the same time as 3D Dot Game Heroes which It kept me away from even though 3DDGH is the one I was actually looking forward to playing. Glad you could get the platinum trophy without doing the speed runs as I'm rubbish at that sort of thing. It's only my second ever platinum, and was really easy to get if anyone is into that sort of thing. It's the first HD upgrade game I've played and I think it looked really good. Quite looking forwrd to the other two now, though I think I'll space them out a bit.
