Well, Fable III finally arrived 9 weeks after I qualified for it. By letting my Gold lapse I got it for 20% off (£32 instead of £40) and got a free copy of Fable III. Pretty cool except when I took the offer I could trade Fable III for £25 now it's only worth £5 :/ Still, I actually want to play it so it's still cool, and free! It's the proper retail boxed version as well, so fine to trade in. Anyway, what's up with MS taking so long to fulfil their offers. I'm still waiting for my halo avatar thing I qualified for and that was all done in the marketplace so I don't see why that couldn't be instantaneous. edit: I forgot I got this too - only £7 new at ASDA. Bargain!

I need to find my PSP and try and work out which of my mountain of adaptors it goes with quite excited about LBP PSP.

I remember being slightly disappointed by The Virgin Suicides, I think because of all the fuss surrounding it and when I saw it, it was just an average film to me, maybe a bit slow. Just watched An Education and really enjoyed it. I thought the acting was great by all the actors and it kept up its pace which can be a problem for that sort of film.

Christ, it's not the scares that make DW unsuitable for children, all this hypothesising is melting my brain.

A friend lent me the first one, which I quite enjoyed, so I said I'd buy the second season. Deluxe version of Silent Shout by The Knife. It has an extra CD of a live concert and a DVD with video of the concert and all the music videos.

Would anyone give a quick rundown on the outage on LIVE in 2008 when they gave you undertow for free (I didn't have a 360 at the time) for a comparison? E.g. how long did it last and why did it happen. Did they extend people's LIVE subscriptions. How worked up about it did people get? I see it didn't effect everyone so roughly how many? How well did MS handle it?

I thought they only recently advertised for a graphics hardware architect, so it seems too soon to have a dev kit for games developers to me.

From that article it sounds more like a redesign of the current console, not a new console. More likely (and I'd laugh pretty hard if true) is that they've made a new, cheaper/better dev kit for the current console. That's something I believe Wii did so indie devs could afford one. edit: not to say they aren't working on a new console.

I don't mind what they do - I was just guessing what they could do. I'm quite open to them making one of the characters gameplay quite different (ezio because of his age (maybe more strategic), or Desmond because he isn't being played as a memory).

they could have the people who work with desmond (I forget their names) could be at a base location sending him info such as objectives and a map doesn't have to be from memory. It is a game so it doesn't have to be 100% realistic, they could maybe say they've developed facial analysis software that decides how alert someone looks. I dunno exactly but it could work.

I'm sure they could steal an implantable animus technology from abstergo or something like that.

Wales has a national assembley, which has recently had its powers increased so it is able to make its own laws now., but we still are mostly governed by UK laws.

we7 is pretty ace - you type in an artist you like and it builds a radio station based on them. The best bit though is if you use it over wifi it pre-caches songs so you can listen to them when you are out without using mobile data. Great for cheapskates like me on PAYG tariffs. edit: if you copy the .we7 files out of the we7 folder and rename them to .mp3 then they are... free mp3s! they're 192kbps too, so not too shabby.

yeah, I'm not upset at all, but I would see it as more of a slap in the face of customers than the PSN debacle, especially after the way they pushed the original xbox under a bus. I'm not upset about the PSN thing either. Hell, if MS would give away free stuff I'd be happy for LIVE to be hacked.

because they only released the slim less than a year ago, which is when I, and many others took the plunge. I wouldn't have had I known that focus would be pulled within one year and it would be superseded within two years.
