  1. You can finally turn off automatic renewal on the xbox UK website. Probably for a while but I gave up looking a while ago!

  2. Just got Stacking. I may get around to playing it soon as I am nearly done with watching the first five seasons of Bones.
  3. Stacking is reduced to 600 points from 1200 on xbox.
  4. Thanks, I hope the walkthrough will help me enjoy it more.
  5. @FLD: How did you get on with the online trophies? Some of them seem like you'd have to set them up rather than they occur while playing naturally.
  6. I'm just slightly surprised that the XBLA version would be cheaper than on PC so I thought it may be gimped in a significant way. I guess it seems like a fairly streamlined game so may be OK on gamepad, but I won't make my mind up until they're out anyway.
  7. It'll only be 1200 MS points (about £10) on xbox LIVE. Is it any different on the PC to warrant the extra money?
  8. I'm playing Chrono Trigger for the DS at the moment, but so far am not getting the "best RPG ever" vibe from it. I'm in a factory and have got kind of lost so maybe that it putting a downer on it. I guess I'm quite near the start so I hope it picks up story-wise.
  9. The Last Window on DS for £9.99. That's really cheap and I remember when I bought it it was quite hard to get hold of.
  10. I just pre-ordered Child of Eden for PS3 thanks to WTF's bargain spotting skills. I'll probably forget I've pre-ordered it by September's release date though. As long as they don't charge a higher price (I don't fully trust play.com) it will come as a nice surprise. I wonder if they'll change the box art as surely the guy on the front is doing the kinect gameplay.
  11. I play the clarinet and taught myself the piano. I haven't played either for years though, which makes me sad when I think about it, but I don't often think about it I've no reason not to play the clarinet, but when I came home from university one time to see my piano hacked to bits in the garden by my parents I had that decision made for me! I'd love to get an electric piano, but I never found one that felt enough like a piano to justify the expense. I did try to learn the flute once but I was allergic to the nickel in it, making my nose run and my lips tingly.
  12. I finally got around to watching Brazil all the way through. I can't say I loved it. It seemed like ten minutes of plot swollen with self-indulgence to a full length movie.
  13. I watched the first season box set and enjoyed it, but found Walter a bit annoying. I generally can't enjoy 'eccentric' characters.
  14. Did anyone play Puzzle Agent, and would recommend anyone else play it? I like the looks of it.
  15. admittedly, I've only played Move demos, but I have found the thing a complete nightmare: disappointingly laggy, and not moving the on screen action in the way I expect. I don't find it better than the wiimote at all. What did any of you play that impressed you so I can give it a try
  16. We just had a hail storm. In June. That's not normal even for a British summer!

  17. If I'm already live gold and have a code for 2 free days of gold will it extend my sub by 2 days or do chuff all?

    1. TheMightyEthan

I think those 2-day codes are only for silver people, but in general the codes (like the one month codes) will extend the gold sub.

  18. cool. I always leave my laptop plugged in anyway (even though I know it is bad for it) so that won't be a problem.
  19. I think I am going to have a stroke. I hate making big purchase decisions. If you know about a laptop that is twice as good for half the price I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW.
  20. Ah, I see. I don't know about importing into to US but to get stuff here that price difference means you'd also have to pay all the taxes and import duties and such for the blu ray, but you wouldn't for the DVD, so that would definitely have made my decision.
  21. looks like I got a bit of a bargain when I nabbed the eternal diva blu ray for £6!
  22. I just watched Mary and Max. It's a claymation about an australian girl becoming penpals with a New York man. I really enjoyed the style of animation and it made me cry a couple of times, though I think I'm in one of those moods today.
  23. I've loved this for ages, but only finally found out what it is called.
