  1. Spotify is changing its free service by cutting the number of hours you can listen per month in half from 20 to 10. It is also reducing the number of times you can listen to a track from unlimited to 5 times per month. Link They're really hoping to push you onto the premium service! My worry is they will start tiering their paid services once they completely cripple the free version.
  2. Looks interesting. It's an Action RPG. Arstechnica likes it. EDIT: The game's Spiral Knights - probably should have mentioned that.
  3. Ignoring your last part of your post, I hope you weren't inferring from my post I "wanna fuck" Miss Marple of Jessica Fletcher.
  4. huh, they don't have detectives outside the EU, or do you mean it is mostly crime procedurals with ensemble casts nowadays?
  5. Mine's a toss-up between Miss Marple and Jessica Fletcher - I think I prefer the gentler style of investigation.
  6. That reminds me, I want to get the rest of the Heavy Rain trophies now I have my Move. Just got a wireless xbox controller bundled with Pure and Lego Batman for £23.99. Not bad since I should actually enjoy both those games. Yikes - looking for photos of it it's £73 at HMV! Edit: The photo isn't accurate as both games share one box.
  7. "Samsung ps50c680" dreaming of a new TV...
  8. LOL, I always knew girls were evil.
  9. Zoo Keeper DS. I'm surprised no one has mentioned a puzzle game yet, surely that's the quintessential quick-play genre.
  10. Does the one that pays more get more views? It look good to say on your CV that I wrote an article that got XXXX hits, so I would go for the one with most views, but I guess it depends how much you need the money.
  11. You should - you won't see it that price again - the white boxes are £50 and that will be the standard so unless you see it bundled with a game for a bargain price (eg when they start reducing the bundled-with-heroes packs) you won't see it for £30 again.
  12. Yeah, its £29.98 in store for the blue box version (which is the best version). You can only use the vouchers in store that's why I went in. I really think the plastic vouchers with magnetic strips should be usable online as the value is held on a server, not on the card itself. PRetty annoying (though it's the same with all stores not just GAME)
  13. After some slight confusion about the new starter package I now have PlayStation Move (with the starter disc) after my £5.01 voucher I only spent £25 on it which is the price of the Eye on its own so a bit of a bargain since the bundle is normally £45/£50. Best of all, since I've used my voucher I never have to set foot in a a GAME store again (though the manager was totally hot!)
  14. Link to the Future Main points from the article "Project Cafe" will be slightly more powerful than ps3/xbox (I think this is more realistic than 'miles more' powerful as Nintendo won't want it to be very expensive). It will have similar architecture to xbox360, a custom IBM PowerPC CPU with three cores, a GPU from the ATI R700 family with a shader unit at version 4.1, and at least 512Mb of RAM. (sounds reasonable) compatible with wii and gamecube games - and all wii accesories. (makes sense to me) "The controller has a six-inch touch screen, a front-facing camera, D-Pad, two bumpers, two triggers and "possibly more," and can allegedly be used as a Wii sensor bar" (this all seems a bit much - and expensive!) There will be another 'big surprise' at e3. Apparently, the source is the same that leaked the NGP details early. I don't know about all this. everything seems reasonable enough (except the controller - if they won't out a HD screen in the 3DS then I doubt they'll put one in a controller) I'm just not convinced we'll be getting a new console this soon. If we do I will defintiely be excited (though in the minority it seems)
  15. Forget it's Christina Aguilera and pretend it's by some hip new thing and you know this song is awesome.
  16. If you ignored the fact that the uber moves were hit and miss with the motion controls, I enjoyed Blur. Still loving Jerk it Out by the Caesars.
  17. I will have to agree with strangelove - but add that not only is Link's Awakening my favourite handheld game it is my favourite game, full stop.
  18. I went into my local GAME and it had the old pack for £30, but didn't have the newer one at all. I felt pretty bad about leaving without buying it since I was the only person in the shop and the guy at the counter was shoving the stuff into my hands! I felt a bit less bad when he started saying how rubbish the Wii is completely out of nowhere. EDIT ZOMG the new pack difference is that it doesn't include the demo disc! I hope they still have the other one in tomorrow. Feeling pretty dumb right about now!
  19. the starter pack is the camera, wand and demo disc - no full game. You can often buy it bundled with a game, but these are done by the retailer not Sony.
  20. I might go in on my lunch break tomorrow, but I didn't see it there today. Still guessing it won't be £30 in store though.
  21. It's the new one that's £30 online. http://www.game.co.uk/Accessories/PlayStation-3/Controllers-and-Accessories/PlayStation-Move-Starter-Pack-2/~r354346/?s=move+2
