  1. obviously Birdo should be the queen.
  2. Does anyone know a game that was from the late eighties, probably. I think was set in a rectory (or a least a gothic house) and one of the enemies was a rat and along the bottom ran a timer that looked like a fuse leading to a round bomb. It had similar gameplay to Jet Set Willy.
  3. I'm 6' but people always assume I'm shorter and some people actually think I'm lying when I say how tall I am.
  4. That game is £200! I can't answer today's question as I've never completed a game more than once I have enough of a gaming backlog without replaying stuff. I'm the same with books and films too.
  5. I just got nuts and bolts. It had better be good.
  6. damn you and your logic. That makes much more sense. I still wonder about the TV seeming smaller though. I definitely didn't imagine that
  7. Sorry about the double post but the last one was a month ago so I hope you'll forgive me. I finished the third game and it is indeed my favourite. It didn't have so many of the 'here's the same puzzle but harder' padding that the others did and the story seemed to move a bit faster. Anyway, the real reason I came in here is slightly off topic, but I was wondering if anyone had seen the eternal diva film. It's on blu ray for £6 and I doubt it will ever be on TV so I was wondering if it's worth buying?
  8. I had a go on a 42" 3D TV and it made the screen seem tiny (I was a normal distance away). Is this usual? I wonder if it was the glasses which were in a stand giving a sort of tunnel effect. Maybe that's why the top screen is bigger than the bottom one as when you're using the 3D effect they seem the same size.
  9. Should I deface my lovely Moomin hardbacks with error correction stickers?

I can't decide which is worse, having stickers in it or loose sheets with the stickers on in it :(

  10. I know it's a bit late but just a quick point: the illegal Iraq war elicited the largest demonstration to take place in UK history. So yeah, they did protest about it.
  11. The only thing that bothers me about them is that I never get them. Just like a star on Kotaku. Then I get all bitter and twisted when I see totally banal posts getting upped. :'(
  12. I remember Jabez Clegg where they have that night. There's a possibility that I went but a lot of that is shrouded by time and alcohol!
  13. What night is that? I went to uni in Manchester - I wonder if it's one I went to... many years ago.
  14. Yes, we have both those meanings too, just we have the extra one as well.
  15. In this context it's a Welsh term (but in English) and can be used for anything that is lovely or gorgeous. attractive people are lush, "did you see him, he's well lush". A night out can be lush. Anything that is awesome is lush.
  16. I don't like to load something up for the first time and think '...where do I start?'. If it's customisable then it should start out simple and you can enable more features if and when you want them. As it is I am barely tempted to give it a try. It's lacking 'curb appeal' to borrow a phrase.
  17. Embarrassing compared to Diana Ross? You have to tell now!
  18. Mine was Diana Ross - Chain Reaction and it was an actual vinyl record I still have it and it is still awesome. I remember the fabulous dresses in the video. In fact, here's the video. Fun fact: it was written by the bee gees and they did backing vocals which you can totally tell. Oh and I was 5 at the time. What was the first song you chose and bought yourself? What format was it on? I'm guessing mostly CDs and some tapes. If anyone says mp3 I will kill myself.
  19. yeah that's what mine looks like. That's a kind offer but now I worked out how to get random play I'm happy. I still think that tapping the album art should bring up something to do with the track playing not player controls, but hey ho. Also it's kind of funny how the app is oversimplified but the desktop version looks overcomplicated! Not much unity in design.
  20. mine doesn't look anything like that... the album art takes up the whole section so there is the picture the timeline bar and then the play buttons. and there isn't a preferences/settings menu either. edit: you can tap on the album art to bring up the shuffle and repeat buttons. I can't say I find that very intuitive or the best way to do it. Mind you I just downloaded the desktop player and that is completely ridiculous too. so many frames it just looks so uninviting.
  21. You should see if they have any almond syrup. Almond syrup and milk is completely lush.
  22. This is only slightly off topic so I hope I can get away with it. Does anyone use winamp on android? I can't for the life of me work out how to get it to play songs randomly.
  23. So, has anyone bought one yet?! What games did you plump for?
  24. If I use windows to look at the files/folders all the album, artist, genre guffins show up but Windows Media Centre, my PS3, my 360 and my phone all don't see it - just the filename. It's ripped as WMA in WMP so I could excuse PS3 and phone not working but the 360 and media centre should! When I get around to properly ripping all my CDs I will definitely check it works properly before I carry on. Thanks for the suggestions FDS I'll have a look at those.
  25. I certainly am going to stop using WMP. I used it to rip several of my CDs and put them on my NAS thingy and non of my devices recognise the meta data. I have the minuutes album show up (which I bought digitally) and everything else turns up under "other" as a gigantic list of individual songs Luckily I didn't rip my entire collection before I realised as I wouldn't have been a happy bunny.
