Had a go on shadow of the colossus. Massive disappointment after ICO. Bought a new don't TV and after watching all the intro stuff tried to move and all I could do was swap weapons, pressed a few more buttons and turns out the controller was controlling the TV so started missing up smart apps etc. Didn't do that on puppeteer or in the OS. Only way I could get out to work was with the USB cable plugged into the ps3 so had to sit on the floor about 1m atom the screen so was not the best start. Playing the game was not much better even when it was working. The Camera control makes of borderline unplayable as it moves around far too much as soon as you let go of the stick it tries to sweep back to a janked up unhelpful position. Every time I want to get on the horse it takes about half a dozen random jumps before he decided to get on. Then when I finally got to the first colossus, spent about 5 or 10 minutes hanging on to the back of his leg and stabbing it with not a lot happening and had enough at that point. I'll have another go at some point but it seems like a strange step back from the first game in nearly every aspect. Plus I know I'm not going to like killing the colossus (if I actually can) as he was just wondering around minding his own business and even after I was attacking him didn't seem aggressive.

Would be interesting if you could see your personal win percentage to see how you did compared to your side as a whole

I'm always happy to see you've posted in here, Fred. It's nearly always something I haven't heard before, and am glad I now have. -
I think I'm realising tumblr gifsets are seriously misleading when it comes to representing TV shows. I've just watched the first two episodes of American Horror Story, and it is not the surreal, kitschy extravaganza I was expecting. It is pretty much just straight up horror. I did enjoy them, so will keep watching, just it's not what I was expecting.

I just came back in here to post that, as I saw it on a Facebook group I'm in. I guess that's not too bad to be honest - 18 shells is plenty as the dude in alley only uses one at a time, I'm just glad you don't get something money-can't-buy, like a special item of clothing as that would be kind of sucky, and would actually make me question my choices next time I picked a team, though I know in my heart I would pick my genuine choice it would certainly add a level of annoyance to the proceedings. As is, 6 shells are equivalent to 180,000 points, which is a fair few matches, but I hope not enough for people to make a mess of the next event. If it becomes an issue I'm sure Nintendo will change the rules as they were quick to rebalance the abilities with the 1.30 update so it seems they're actively monitoring how people are playing/what people are complaining about in forums.

That would make more sense. It's interesting to see the question results, but it shouldn't have a bearing on the splatfest results. Having said that, there is no bonus to being on the winning side is there? I myself am now an eternal pop diva boy, which was the highest rank and ended up with 18 shells. So no good reason not to make your choice based on your genuine opinion of the question. Here's the EU results: Popularity: Rock - 64% Pop - 36% Wins: Rock - Rock - 53% Pop - 47% Overall: Rock -170 Pop - 130 I forgot Japan wouldn't be in the Splatfest, and since they usually seem to account for at least half of the people playing I think pop was doomed from the start. though I think the actual win ratio isn't too bad. It would be interesting if it showed the percentage of matches you won personally so you could see how you did compared to the side as a whole.

Over the past year, my sexual fetishes have been slowly getting more perverse; But it wasn't until I spanked a statue that I realized I'd hit rock bottom.

splatoon! have you tried it? It's great.

Played ranked battles for the first time today. I enjoyed it but I'm not sure how they work out the points afterwards. Nevertheless, I went from C- to C+. Obviously now it gets harder to rise up as it's 12 points for a win and -10 for a loss, whereas at at C- you got 20 points for a win. Problem is, it's easy to get stuck on a duff team and there's not much you can do about it. I guess most people are used to that but I don't play online so will have to just learn to deal with that. One thing it has got me to do is try some other weapons as I stuck to just one after I found one I liked, but I'm never going to be is a tactician, like with the update they just made to nerf some of the OP stuff, I'd noticed people appearing out of nowhere to kill me but I'd not twigged they all had the same outfit on. I just went for the ones with the obvious benefits. and that didn't look too ugly, lol. They're bringing out a new mode, tower control today/tomorrow which looked pretty frenetic when I watched the treehouse presentation, so I look forward to that. After I've had a few goes on it I'll probably end up deciding which ranked mode or turf war based on which maps they're using.

So he was OK in it was he? Seems like such a non-entity in Downton Abbey, I didn't know if that was what he was always like or just in that role.

Link to a Vine.

oreshika: tainted bloodlines. I remember being interested in it when they first announced it but kind of forgot as it wasn't clear it would have a western release. But it's popped up on Sony's Big in Japan sale for a bargain price so couldn't resist.

just don't invite your work colleagues to your wedding or you could still get fired.

Really tempted to go back to Windows for my next phone as I'm constantly disappointed by android but I am tempted by the oneplus phones.
-
what's happening with the oneplus OS? Wasn't there something weird with cyanogen stopping work on it or something.
-
It would be cool if it had a mario paint style music maker in it.
-
I can only imagine disappointing and frustrating myself at every turn trying to design awesome levels so it would have to be a tempting price depending on what sort of content Nintendo provides with it. Can't deny I want to stomp around in a giant high heel though.

A marimba medley of Pokémon music. I don't actually play the game but it's really nice and relaxing. -
Oh right. I guess I just didn't think you'd betray all our trust like that? I see how it is now. I shall go forward from today trusting no one. As I start to doubt my own thoughts and even reality itself the quiet, insistent whisperings of insanity will be the only thing I truly hear, beckoning me down to the darkness where I must surely follow.

I feel like there's a joke about Wii Y? in there somewhere. However, I can only imagine they will drop the wii brand like a flaming bag of turds for their next console as it won't bring any good will with it.

Not everyone would agree.

The extra long tutorials at the start of the game. Though just going back now and trying to find the rest of the quote it's actually from last year, as in a different article it references how link between worlds is less tutorial heavy as a result. Still, it's good news, if not exactly new news. It doesn't mention fi, though if he is taking on board constructive criticism there was certainly plenty of it about her and thinking back back didn't they completely remove a companion from link between worlds? that may be too far in the other direction. I'm hoping for either a proper character like midna (unlikely from the trailers we've seen so far) or just anavi style dot that floats over to interesting things that may be easier to miss in the open world style.

Even if they didn't show anything, this has got to be a relief:- Miyamo: "We're here to talk about Star Fox but Zelda is still coming to Wii U, so don't worry about that." so it's at least not an NX exclusive Aonuma: "In a game, it's when you get stuck, when you want that help. And I kinda frontloaded all that in Skyward Sword, and it doesn't really help to get that information when you don't know what to do with it. So that was a real learning experience for me. So I'm going to be careful not to do that."

I beat Splatoon. I got to level 20 (the current cap) yesterday, and beat the single player a while ago. I haven't dared try the ranked battles yet as I'm assuming everyone in there is a big meanie. Anyone tried it? I played the test fire so knew I'd like the multiplayer, but the single player was great, it's good enough to be its own game and I would definitely pay for more of it. I'd love to play the Amiibo takes on the stages, but you can't get the amiibo anywhere, and I wouldn't particularly want to pay £36 for the pleasure.

didn't realise that was still a thing.
