I'm playing Pokémon shuffle at the moment and pretty annoyed I've beat the whale thing several times and even when I got the catchability from under 20 to over 80% I still didn't catch it. I'd better get it before it becomes unavailable else I'll probably stop playing.

Oh, I didn't see MalH's post when I started mine. Basically what he said. @MalH: The beans aren't as dark as they look in the picture, but you're right about them being on the darker end of where most decent roasters will go but they were highly recommended as being a forgiving bean and as it seems you will know, someone new to lever machines needs a forgiving bean. Definitely struggling with consistency so far so I'd be wasting my time with a more complex bean at the moment. Hoping to get there, though I know some people just never get on with a lever machine. The porlex (hand) grinder is so I can use the aeropress when I'm away from home, and as you correctly guessed, so I don't have to meddle with the mignon (electric one) as the design's not really suitable for hopping between espresso and brew grinds. TBH, I'm not loving the mignon, but after a lot of reading up all I realised was most manufacturers have not started making concessions to the home market yet so any decent one is bloody massive and needs varying levels of modding to make them suitable for home rather than commercial use. Started reading round in circles and not getting anywhere so when I saw this as an open box bargain I jumped as it was so cheap I'll actually be able to sell it on at a profit when I can face looking into them again.

The main/only place espresso machines are somewhat common is Italy. I would guess a lot of American households have filter/drip machines, but they're only the equivalent of a kettle and teabags here, i.e. just the base level of hot drink making and not really signifying you're "into" coffee. The espresso machine I bought and the grinder to its right are both similar size to kettles so don't take up too much room and the aeropress is the size of a kitchen roll tube and the hand grinder fits inside. That will sit in a cupboard out of site once I've finished playing with it. I'll mostly use that when I get a new bag of beans (to see what the flavour I'm aiming at with my espresso machine) and when I'm out of the house.

Have you got any way to get 4K content on the TV, TME? From what I've read webOS is by far the best smart TV interface. I'm itching to upgrade my TV, but since there's nothing wrong with mine I'd need a seriously good offer to justify the money and I'd like the 4K specs to settle down a bit first. Anyway, the reason I'm here. The super automatic coffee machine I bought last year was nothing but hassles and disappointment. I've gone in the opposite direction now - manual lever machines have very little to go wrong except the person operating them. On the left you can also see an aeropress and hand grinder I bought. They should help me to see what I'm aiming at with my coffee, and currently missing by a mile. The good thing about this though is I know I can improve things. With the automatic, what I got was what I got.

Majora's Mask is £25 on Game Collection this weekend, which is probably as cheap as you'll see it get.

Isn't there a stat somewhere that gives your average trophy completion percentage. Those zero percents will really drag that number down.

can you be less elaborate.

Obviously, I now have to post the other famous Communards song. Was dancing to them on Saturday night. -
Yet, somehow, Falcon Northwest has been in business for years and their business has only grown in that time. I really don't buy that just because you have a lot of money means you're okay with buying something huge and not at all sleek. If anything being rich is what allows you to do that while the peasants have to buy huge towers that aren't specialized to their needs. Between this thread and the Apple thread I'm struggling to understand your position on high end purchases. Seems like if you buy anything you are either a douche bag or a peasant or is there one FDS approved mid range purchase per category that leads to consumerist nirvana?

They did improve the speakers - a few people from podcasts I listen to (i.e. real users) have said they don't feel the need to wear earphones all the time with it now as you can hear most of the detail from the speakers now which used to be lost.

I've just been looking at pushbullet. What's the difference between the windows app and the chrome extension? It says you need both installed but it seems they duplicate a lot of the same things?

Water levels could definitely go in the gaming tropes that need to go thread, same as insta-death water. It's a puppet the stupid thing should float.
-
I'm trying to enjoy the charming presentation of Pupeteer, but being severely hampered by the massively frustrating controls. It's got that same uncontrolable floaty feeling of Little Big Planet but need much more precision than that game so it is that much more annoying. My main grip is with the scissors - I rarely travel in the direction my my L-stick is pointed which is a nightmare when trying to go up narrow winding paths and cutting around an object before the webbing regrows. Also, sometimes when you are using the scissors to travel horizontally toward a platform got get to the end of the cutting material and can snip through thin air and change direction at will so you can point to the platform with ease, but others you get to the end of the cutting material and plummet straight down. I cannot work out why this is and it is super frustrating on the water level I''m on at the moment where I seem to find the 1mm gap between some bullrushes and the lilly pad over a dozen times now. Really not having a great time in this bit.

So... do you think we'll win with this? Obviously the answer is no, but I actually quite like it - it's certainly catchy. -
chrome has more compatibility issues than any other browser I use/have used. If I want something to definitely work IE is still my safest bet.

I know they're not real kitties but c'mon. Cute! Also, something on this page definitely still seems borked - it was painfully slow making this post.

Happy Saint David's Day everyone. I know you're all super excited about it!

well, you wear something woollen if you want to be inside a sheep without such a level of commitment.

was the phones bending in people's pockets a real problem/design issue or was it just a bunch of prannocks making waves when it launched? If you don't always carry a bag I wouldn't get something that doesn't go in your pocket as what else are you going to do? Carry it in your hand is not really practical. Why don't you try carrying the power bank around in your pocket for a few days and see if it is unwieldy when sitting down or just out and about. If you can't wait to get it out of your pocket then the big size can't be for you.

I've got something expensive coming over from france at the moment without a tracking number, so I've no idea where it is or if it will arrive. I will not be relaxed until it does. There unfortunately wasn't an option for it to have one as I would have happily paid a bit extra for one.

It works how I like it here, and if it didn't I'd have mentioned it constructively in forum suggestions not come in the ranting thread and be like, 'oi Dean, sort it out you knob!' - even if that was what I was secretly thinking, lol.

apparently Brian Cant > Immanuel Kant. I know too little about either to speculate, but I have my suspicions. -
I freaking hate forums that keep track of "new content" rather than unread content. If there are two and a half new pages but it only takes me to half way down the last page I'm not going to have fun working out were I was last time and rereading half the thread again to do it. or even more annoyingly if I'm interested in a thread, maybe even replied to it but I come back outside the new content window of time (whatever that may be) so I don't even realise it's had new replies. I guess it makes the forum less complicated/data heavy/faster as it only has to mark up a global list of posts from the last two hours or whatever, rather than track info for every thread for every member? Still. Makes forums much more frustrating to use.

The worst bit is even though you put the security details in the system, the actual games only work with WEP too, so you can't even use wifi for DS games on your 3DS. so frustrating.
