I really enjoyed Frozen but can't help feeling it would have been better with traditional animation. They still can't make dresses - which were in practically every scene - move convincingly and I found it really distracting and I think the reindeer lost a lot of his charm in 3D, it seems less friendly somehow.

Hopefully be getting it after Christmas - if Santa doesn't drop it down my chimney. Got to stop mentioning games as present ideas to my parents when I'm itching to play them. I'm a bit blah about games at the moment, but I know if I get this I will have an enjoyable binge at least and hopefully reignite my desire to play other games.

If MS will let me spend the money I have in my account I will give it a go. Not having much luck so far. Need to try and find out when that expires too as I'm guessing they won't bother to remind me nearer the time.

If I've never played a MGS game is ground zeroes a bad pace to start? Iwn not going to go out of my way to pay other games so if it is a bad place to start I just won't play any

can't work out how to embed the video

you could just buy them at your local thrift store for $5, FDS, so it's not so bad.

Maybe I've been watching too many Christmas movies and was hoping for a Christmas miracle. I'll still hope to see a post by FDS in Post Your Purchases thread for the biggest turkey in the butcher's window.

I'm not sure you're truly sorry. I've never seen it in a charity shop. pretty much the only games I see on a regular basis are snakes and ladders, top trumps, chess sets and things like that. I wouldn't be surprised to see monopoly or cluedo/clue. It would be a matter of luck to see something like 7 wonders though so again, it would not be worth deliberately going to look for it in a charity shop. You keep saying it's popular, but it's still a niche boardgame. e.g. it's 3,757th bestselling item in toys and games category on Amazon UK. Monopoly is 16th and Cluedo is 216th. That's a long way further down. Maybe you've got a load of nerds living near you but that doesn't mean every store is stocked high with games like that worldwide.

How do you measure a Lego figure's shoe size?
-
that's a nice bargain if you happen to see it, but to go out scouring your local charity shops looking for it would have cost more in time than you'd save in money.

BBC is not exactly Korean state television it's one of the most trusted news sources in the world- it's not government run, it's funded by something similar to a tax the only government involvement is deciding how much that 'tax' should be not how it's spent. There are a lot of systems in place to maintain its neutrality and besides all that why would you think a profit driven agency is more likely to be neutral?

Isn't there a black hole at the centre of every galaxy? That doesn't seem like something you'd want to head toward.

I'm old people. I'm gonna suck!

I prefer the waggle to the janky point to aim they were doing with the pad. At least with waggle pretty much any movement gets what you want. With the new system you seem to end up pointing at the ceiling or half way behind you before you get it where you want on the screen. The had that problem on the video where it wasn't moving enough on screen. It will help that epona auto avoids trees while you concentrate on shooting. Sounding a bit negative there but I actually am really looking forward to this as I love Zelda games even skyward sword

what you're all selling me on here is buying discs not digital rather than not deleting my digital installs.
-
wouldn't you just download it when you wanted it - which would probably be never for most of the stuff? I don't understand why so many people want to keep everything on their HDD. What's the point of digital if you're treating it like a physical item you have to store locally.

Is that the old meaning of expansion where it's practically an entirely new game worth of content? Is there a normal dlc season pass for other dlc and does any of the other dlc include new story? Nothing about destiny is not confusing to me.

Anyone played Rogue? Can't recall anyone mentioning it.

Is that lollipop? What's wrong with it? No recommendations for end email sorry I use the one.

Looks lovely. It's handmade real paper and filming.

The movie is bad but if you make it through the last part of the second series you should watch it for the sake of completeness. Just remember not to get your hopes up as it continues the downward trend.

I guess I shouldn't have specifically said Paris - I meant revolutionary period Europe as an era. There is a lot of history to explore all over Europe at that time. Since the first game they had several (too many?) games in each era before they've moved on. I know there were new main locations in each game but there were definitely reuses too like Florence, and things like the Colosseum and Monteriggioni were used for ezio and desomand to visit. Several games went back to the crusades era assassin base, masyaf even though only one was set in that era and I'm sure there are others I cannot remember. Anyway, even if most of the locationsn are new though I'm sure there is less effort to go produce a second/third ezio game or going from 3 to black flag than to create a whole new situation if only because you have all the base research for clothes/buildings, historical situations and people and mechanics for weapons and transport and there must be loads of assets that could be reused between the games in the same era. Not to mention just the general storyline is easier to continue as you have the characters and who the bad guys will be and tone and just a lot of stuff nailed down that must take a lot of time to decide on when created entirely from scratch for a new era. Anywho - I think I went from overly brief to overly rambly. and I guess if there is a new head studio working on london it means there could still be work going on on another revolutionary era game at montreal - I just think alternating between two different eras alternate-yearly would be kind of weird and unlikely so I can't help feel unity will be left as a one-off which seems like a waste.
-
Seems weird they'd abandon Paris after only one outing - all that work gone to waste and they might have actually sorted the problems out by the next installment. If they've started from scratch again won't people be wary the new one will be just as under-baked.

Why was six afraid of seven?

What are you listening to now?
TheFlyingGerbil replied to Chronixal's topic in Entertainment Exchange
It's December so I can officially start listening to Christmas music. This is my favourite one from Mariah Carey's second Christmas album. Hope everyone's starting to feel festive. I am - I've only got one present to buy and I know what it is so I'm stress free in the run up to the big day.
