What are you listening to now?
TheFlyingGerbil replied to Chronixal's topic in Entertainment Exchange
On Google Play Vulnicura doesn't turn up any results and when I search for her and look at her releases it doesn't show up. Amazon has it available as import on cd and vinyl, pre-order of uk cd version for march and no download version. Guessing it's only out in usa at the moment. I don't think technology is sufficiently advanced to hide it only from me to frustrate me. -

It wasn't when I searched for it -

They're trying to style her as the new Mariah Carey (like she can be replaced), but seems like all she has down so far is the diva from hell attitude. only photos and interviews from one side, keeping people waiting, being very ungrateful about fans etc. Like at least make yourself irreplaceable before you start with the attitude that makes people want to replace you. -
not a great advert for the magnets which fall apart when they hit each other. It's a better ad for Indestructible ApplesTM

so I like this song but everything I hear about her is just not positive, does it put you off music if the person who makes it is not likeable? Also, not liking that Bjork has released her album two weeks early on iTunes when I do not have iTunes. Grrr. -
I'm sure it's not just english that pronounces place names differently to how they're spelled, but does anyone know if it is more common in english than other languages? hardly anyone in england (nor wales, tbh) can even pronounce welsh place names, so I think that's unfair putting them in - they're not the same language or alphabet, after all. Not to mention she gets some of them wrong herself.

If you log out, there is a log in anonymously option when you click to log back in. I log in anonymously so it's not as obvious how often I lurk around here. I just pray the mods can't see it!

I bought: I wanted to play Unfinished Swan since it came out but it doesn't seem to go on sale very often. Just watch it go on plus now I finally splashed some cash on it. Ground Zeroes will be my first attempt at a MGS game. I had no intention of getting in on the ground floor so paying money for a demo seems like a great alternative plan. Sleeping dogs I have already told myself I will probably never get around to playing.

Has this really not been posted in for so long? Hope I'm in the right thread! Just been looking at the latest mobile bundle which is pay over the average $3.71, and further down the page one of the top contributors at $25 is going by the name 3.72. Oops! Wonder if they've realised yet.

It's £10.99 new on Amazon at the moment so I couldn't pass that up.

Can I put Freedom Cry in here since I bought it as a standalone game? Feels a bit cheaty but I finish so few games I have to count everything and I did 100% it. I liked it and would have preferred black flag to be about adewale rather than kenway as I thought his story had much more potential and was very poignant in part even though there wasn't much time to draw you in. I am in the weird position with assassin's creed now of really enjoying playing them but being bored of them at the same time. It's particularly bad for me at the moment as only having last gen systems I'm stuck with Rogue as my next choice so I don't even have the freshness of a new location to interest me. I'm hoping the rogue aspect changes things up enough to make things fresh but I have a bad feeling it won't make that much difference.

without camera controls is different! I say that though, but am currently wondering myself whether to play Majora's Mask straight away or wait until I get a New 3DS - one reason of which is having the camera control on the c stick, the other being the 3D that doesn't crap out every time I move slightly as I thought the OoT remake looks ace in 3D so will definitely have it turned on for MM. With the circle pad though, I just couldn't face a hunk of plastic junk that would sit there taking up space the second I put the game down. It would drive me mad the same as I have so many things I want to throw away. So I'll either being doing without the extra control or waiting until I get the new console. I think writing the out I've convinced myself to wait.
-
Do you need it that badly? I don't remember missing it in OoT 3D. It would be nice to use if you had it (or the new 3DS) but I wouldn't think it's worth buying one for.

Every time they announce something big, like this new hardware iteration I hope they'll announce software tied to you account not your hardware, and they keep letting me down. It's so ridiculous as I have all the games registered to my NNID, which is accessible online so I know they are tied together already. I'd even be happy if they kept the 7 day transfer rule they have now, so you couldn't move your NNID between consoles more than once a week. The worst thing is I'm sure I remember reading they said they were working on it at some point. If they's just flat out say it's not happening at least I wouldn't continually have my hopes dashed. Unless that just ended up as the NNID they introduced with the WIi U that tied your money together between home and handheld consoles. I was hoping that was the first step not the last. It's not like we're hoping for anything too over the moon cross buy. It's perfectly reasonable to want easy and fair access to your games.

that's... not encouraging. I'll see how far I get but I guess that is another game that will probably end up in my never-to-be-finished pile then.

£5 for a brand new copy of Rayman Legends Wii U is too hard to pass up, even if I didn't finish the last one. I'll have to get back to it. I got stuck on one of those chest chasing levels and abandoned it in annoyance which is pretty dumb considering they were optional as I was enjoying it otherwise.

But if (most of) the server's wages are not included in the cost of the food in USA then it's not really fair not to tip because you're saying they don't deserve to be paid for what they've done for you so unless they spit in your food at the table they deserve to be paid even if the service wasn't a delight. Only in places like UK where servers are paid a full wage should a tip be discretionary.

OK,I get the concept they're going for now. It's how you'd split one difficult sum (8+5) into simpler steps in your head (8+2+3). And I think it's a good idea to teach how to simplify sums to do then mentally. Still though, the question is phrased awfully, not making it clear what or why you're doing it. and I don't think the teacher makes it much clearer. It should say how would you spilt this sum into easier steps (hint: make 10 first)

what the heck? This is worse than those creationist tests.

I've just been looking on the what's new section for Majora's Mask. Cowboy and My lord, Chocula, you should both be happy. That addressed your two major issues, I believe.

I'm certainly enjoying Azran Legacy more than unwound future though I've I've only just got my first egg so I'm not nearly done yet. I know they're always a bit far fetched but the whole idea of the city was just so ridiculous it annoyed me. Plus, I think the transfer to 3D went really well but they've really notched it up another level with Azran Legacy - some of the scenes are really beautiful, like the first time they panned down into the forest by Lake Kohd with the squirrel and there are a lot of little interactive treats in the backgrounds - it all feels a bit more alive. Plus the story seems just like an adventure so far rather than the magic - I hope it doesn't fall too far off the rails as I progress. Shame about the Layton x phoenix game though. It sounded like something I'd love though I'm sure I'll still play it at some point. I want to play some more of the Phoenix Wright games first though as I only played the first one but did really enjoy it.

Good news it is. Trine 2 is still shit, but it still plays. It didn't feel any slower to load, but I probably wouldn't put something like Mario Kart on there just because I'd always be paranoid I wasn't getting optimal performance. Still, I'll happily move most of my games there which will leave space on the internal memory for the latest and greatest.

don't get too excited yet - all the advice I read was from the Wii U launch. There have been many updates since then so it may no longer be the case. BUT I just put a thumb drive in the back of my WIi U now to try it and am transferring Trine 2 over as I type this to see if it works. I'll update you with the good/bad news ASAP. exciting times.

You cannot run games off the SD card. I haven't entirely worked out what you can do with it, tbh, just that you can't do the main thing you would want to. You can put usb thumb drive (or sd card and usb card reader) in the back of the wii u to run games from that. Either option would be cheaper and neater than an external HDD
