  1. Anyone played Rogue? Can't recall anyone mentioning it.
  2. Is that lollipop? What's wrong with it? No recommendations for end email sorry I use the one.
  3. Looks lovely. It's handmade real paper and filming.
  4. The movie is bad but if you make it through the last part of the second series you should watch it for the sake of completeness. Just remember not to get your hopes up as it continues the downward trend.
  5. I guess I shouldn't have specifically said Paris - I meant revolutionary period Europe as an era. There is a lot of history to explore all over Europe at that time. Since the first game they had several (too many?) games in each era before they've moved on. I know there were new main locations in each game but there were definitely reuses too like Florence, and things like the Colosseum and Monteriggioni were used for ezio and desomand to visit. Several games went back to the crusades era assassin base, masyaf even though only one was set in that era and I'm sure there are others I cannot remember. Anyway, even if most of the locationsn are new though I'm sure there is less effort to go produce a second/third ezio game or going from 3 to black flag than to create a whole new situation if only because you have all the base research for clothes/buildings, historical situations and people and mechanics for weapons and transport and there must be loads of assets that could be reused between the games in the same era. Not to mention just the general storyline is easier to continue as you have the characters and who the bad guys will be and tone and just a lot of stuff nailed down that must take a lot of time to decide on when created entirely from scratch for a new era. Anywho - I think I went from overly brief to overly rambly. and I guess if there is a new head studio working on london it means there could still be work going on on another revolutionary era game at montreal - I just think alternating between two different eras alternate-yearly would be kind of weird and unlikely so I can't help feel unity will be left as a one-off which seems like a waste.
  6. Seems weird they'd abandon Paris after only one outing - all that work gone to waste and they might have actually sorted the problems out by the next installment. If they've started from scratch again won't people be wary the new one will be just as under-baked.
  7. Why was six afraid of seven?
  8. It's December so I can officially start listening to Christmas music. This is my favourite one from Mariah Carey's second Christmas album. Hope everyone's starting to feel festive. I am - I've only got one present to buy and I know what it is so I'm stress free in the run up to the big day.
  9. You didn't get A Link Between Worlds as your free game? Madness.
  10. I needed another game I'm never going to play. Also trying to decide if I should get Danganronpa for £11.99 or hope they bring out the double pack like they did in Japan
  11. I just wanted to make sure you knew about this free game offer if you're still getting the 2DS bundle.
  12. I don't know how they learn from other players, but they do learn to mimic your play style. I don't play Smash so don't know the terms but, for example if you never defend, and only attack, your amiibo will never defend and only attack also. Or if you like to attack in the air it will do that too. I guess it collects stats on how much % you punch kick jump dodge etc and roughly matches it's fights to that
  13. Have any of you (probably southerners?) had boiled peanuts? They sound tempting but I need convincing to spend 4 hours boiling nuts.
  14. seems like a good deal for anyone in the UK looking to get a PS4? Not sure if that's anyone here though. £350 for: Playstation 4 Console Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Minecraft Battlefield 4 Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Wolfenstein The New Order
  15. The uk term is excess. Do Americans use the term co-pay for all insurances or is it just for medical?
  16. Any/all the Zelda games on the eshop. Professor Layton series (started on DS so older ones will be cheap). Luigi's mansion 2
  17. SkySaga looks interesting. It's a free to play game where you "minecraft" your homeworld which has a portal to a procedurally generated adventure world where you may visit a village, a castle or a dungeon etc. It's a free to play game developed by the Oliver brothers who are/were famous British developers and backed by Smilegate a successful Korean company whose main game, Crossfire rakes in $1bn a year. You can register your interest in the alpha on their website and there is an article about it here that compares it to Minecraft, Zelda and Journey.
  18. Why was Oedipus against profanity? - Because he kisses his mother with that mouth. ... I’m getting really tired of these motherfucking jokes.
  19. an ultralight aerogel has been invented that is 7 times lighter than air. It's the lightest material in the world, but... if it's seven times lighter than air why doesn't it float?
  20. well now I don't feel special any more.
  21. Google's just given me Gravity for free, which was nice of them. Never got to see it in the cinema so am quite happy.
  22. From 19-25 November, Nectar is offering "double up" vouchers. You can spend up to £20 of nectar points for a £40 voucher per department so that's roughly the price of a game. I'll definitely be having a look and hoping they have fantasy life there, or maybe AC Rogue as I usually wait for those to be around £20.
  23. OMG, you sexist bastard you thought it was about the boy. No. I thought it was about the person who is clearly the focus of the photo, and bang smack in the middle of the poster.
  24. When's it out? I have a soft spot for transparent electronics since I loved my glacier GBA.
