Anyone here using that official wireless playstation gold headset? I was kinda thinking about getting one but I'd like to hear some testimonials if anybody has one.

God damn it my neighbor is such a fucking cunt. There's this old dead tree out in front of the house that was starting to become a hazard so we hired some landscapers to come and cut it down, and in the process of doing so one of the branches fell and snapped a branch from a tree that's in her yard. Mind you, this branch was hanging over into my yard anyway so legally I still have the right to trim it if I want to, but I didn't. Anyway, she sees that the branch is broken and comes out and starts a lot of shit about it so we're like "It's not a big deal, we'll just have the guys cut off the rest of the branch while they're here" but she refuses to let them touch it because she thinks they aren't licensed because they don't have a truck with their name on it (WHAT?!). I'm not gonna get into a rant about how god damn retarded that line of logic is because it gets even better. SHE CALLED THE FUCKING POLICE Yes, she called the cops on us over a broken tree branch from a landscaping job. The cops show up and talk to everyone, and she starts ranting about how she is demanding to call HER people (who are much more expensive for the same fucking work) to finish cutting down the branch and then send the bill to us. Both I and the police tell her that we're not paying for shit because the branch was already hanging over into our property but she refuses to accept it and just storms back into the house. I will not be surprised if she sends us a bill and/or tries to sue us later. I will not be surprised even one little bit. Well I'm not paying a god damn dime to anyone, especially when we already offered to have our guys cut the branch down in the first place. Fuck her tree, fuck her landscapers, and fuck that bitch right in her dried up cobweb-filled cunt.

Ugh. A few theaters were going to show Team America on the release date instead as a form of protest, or at least to show they weren't afraid of North Korea, but now Paramount Pictures has come out and forbidden them from doing so. Fuck this earth sometimes.

There's always the chance they're just delaying the release while they work with the government to get to the bottom of this. I know they said they have no plans for release, but you don't exactly cancel a release because of terrorist threats and then openly say that you'll release it later.

I finished up Dust: An Elysian Tale so I could delete it and make some room on my hard drive. The character art isn't great and the writing can be a little stilted here and there, but it was still pretty solid on the gameplay front. I'd give it a B, I guess.

You know, I hadn't even thought about that and it seems entirely possible that played into it. I mean, honestly, nobody was going to "9/11" any theaters on the release date. That whole thing with Dark Knight Rises was one psychopath who just happened to pick that time and place to go on a rampage. The movie itself had nothing to do with it. North Korea can't even get a toaster into space. I hardly expect them to be able to coordinate a bunch of terrorist attacks on movie theaters, assuming the government was even involved in this. Even if they could, picking a fight with the US on that level is tantamount to suicide. We put up with a lot of bullshit from North Korea, but that would be where we draw the fucking line. Executing political prisoners, though? That's far more likely. Sony is really in a no-win situation here.

That movie is coming out. After all the money Sony sank into it, Jesus Christ himself couldn't stop its release.

The game itself might be solid enough, but I was hoping for more originality. As it currently stands, I really, really wish I could be hyped for this game but I just can't.

Got the Platinum trophy for Wolfenstein! The Uber difficulty was challenging but fair, which is a nice change of pace from all the hard modes that want to punish you sadistically just for the sake of being hardcore.

I think by now people on here have probably figured out that I despise social justice warriors with the kind of fire that can cause solar systems to go supernova, but I would never try to stop them from making a game based around their agenda or tell them what they could or couldn't put in said game. I would, however, choose not to buy it.

It's not? Literally everything I've seen about this agrees it's bad (other than the people doing it, but the same thing could be said back when Jack Thompson was doing it). Maybe we're just hearing from different people because I've seen a bunch of outlets and personalities who were vehemently anti-Thompson back in the day making excuses for the recall. Then again, I'm drifting into Kotaku and Polygon territory now and those sites have been shit for years.

I'm not saying exploration is a bad thing or that it's uninteresting, but exploring for the sake of exploration isn't going to hold a game up in the long term. There has to be some kind of goal or something to do for it to keep being fun. If the game has no goal, then it should encourage sandbox play by providing you with building or customization tools. Minecraft is totally not my thing, but I absolutely understand why others enjoy it. However, unless there's some secret gameplay element we haven't heard about yet, No Man's Sky is not a sandbox. Sandboxes have sand in them. No Man's Sky is more like...a museum. You can look but you can't touch, and while that's fine for a brief visit, there's not much reason to keep coming back once you've seen everything, and I promise you that repetition will set in sooner rather than later. This is just my personal opinion, but I'd take 10 static, thoughtfully designed planets over a billion randomly generated ones.
