Destiny taught me to never buy console games digitally again, so I'm gonna have to go pick it up physically like a caveman. I'm mulling over going to the midnight launch since I'm probably going to be up anyway, but I haven't made up my mind.

As a veteran Isaac player, I can tell you that Rebirth is indeed easier. I chalk it up to five main reasons: 1) There's actually a difficulty setting now. Normal mode won't spawn champion enemies as often and it's more generous with item spawns. 2) Items have better synergy now, which creates the potential for more powerful combos 3) No slowdown to mess up your timing. 4) The rooms were redesigned to be slightly less random, meaning fewer chances of running into an unbalanced room where it's practically or sometimes literally impossible to avoid taking damage. 5) Azazel. Still, I'm not about to say the game is "easy mode" or casual. It's still quite a challenge; it's just more fair now.

So Sweden is thinking about adding a "sexism" label to their video game ratings system. Am I alone in thinking this is a terrible idea that could easily be abused?

I'm not exactly against it...but I wonder how it'd affect the age? or would it?
As long as they don't plan on banning games that cross the "sexism" limit, then they can do what they wish.
Guess some may worry that it could affect sales if some feel a game isn't displaying sexism, but they do. Bah...I'm tired of all the nonsense.

I ordered a new battery for my Galaxy SIII so hopefully now it won't die after six hours. I went with an Anker battery, thank you Dean for the suggestion. I also bought a replacement Micro USB cable since the one I had stopped charging my DS4 for some reason. Aaand I needed to round it out a bit for free shipping so what the hell.

I'm looking into getting an extended battery for my Galaxy SIII because the one it comes with is complete ass. Has anyone here already done this with a Galaxy of their own? If so, could I get a recommendation on which one to go for?

I felt a little bit the same, Tenshi - but then I remembered Far Cry 3 scratched that itch perfectly and I don't really feel the need for another one yet

Binding of Isaac: Rebirth. Holy crap it's like a brand new game. There's so many new items that combine with each other in so many crazy ways that you never know what you're going to end up with. I collected a charge shot, bloody shot, and pulse shot in my last run that ended up turning my wimpy little tears into giant bloody vomit chunks that could kill a boss in four or five hits. On top of that, I picked up a piggy bank item which spawns coins every time you get hit, and a familiar who picks up money off the ground and then spawns special items. For a brief period, I felt like a god.

I guess I'd say the story itself is about on par with your average Marvel movie. Take that as you will.

Big Hero 6. Fuck, I adore this movie. I loved it from start to finish. The action is good, the writing is hilarious, and Baymax is the most endearing robot I've seen in a movie since Wall-e. There's so much imagination and just flat-out coolness on display here. In fact, there's a part of me that suspects Disney is trying to replicate the success of Frozen, but with boys this time. I wouldn't be surprised if they succeed, because this movie has everything boys love: robots, fighting, comedy, superpowers...God damn, I can't wait for the bluray.

Why does everyone hate Skyward Sword? I mean, it wasn't as good as the more popular games in the series but I didn't think it was terrible either. It also made an attempt to tell a story with actual characters in it, which is more than I can say for several of the other games.

Has anyone else been using Shareplay extensively? How well does it work for you? I've only tried it a couple of times and the performance has been mixed for me.

Is it me or are there a lot of robot movies coming out? Also Despicable Me 2 was okay, but not as good as the first one because there was too much focus on the minions. In fact, the credits flat out had them putting up a sign that said MINION MOVIE.

I can't find it anymore but I also saw a tweet where someone got offended at the phrase "hoisted by his own petard" because the word petard ends in tard. This person then went on to say that there needed to be a new word for petard to keep people from being uncomfortable. Now, I try not to offend people when I can help it but HOLY SHIT!
