  1. Oh the first person mode was received just fine by the GTA fans. It's the critics who take issue with it because the first person mode suddenly turns the game into a murder simulator. Boy, where have we heard that before? By the way, it's just the prostitutes that these people are getting their panties in a knot about, prostitutes whom you are never once required by the game to kill in the first place. And if you're going to get mad about that, you might as well get mad about killing homeless people or minorities too because ultimately the game treats all the NPCs the same way. They're just people walking around and you can choose to ignore them or murderdeathkill them.
  2. What in God's name is happening with GTA recently? The first version of GTA V came out without any real fuss or controversy, but then when they add a first person mode everyone gets pissed again? Not only that, but social justice retards are trying (and succeeding!) to get the game pulled from various store outlets because of the prostitutes. Didn't we all agree this shit was stupid back when Jack Thompson was doing it? Why is it suddenly a good thing? I mean what the fuck?
  3. You seem to have a "buying things right before they go on sale for cheap" problem.
  4. I'm just as confused as you are, man. I think people are hearing "billions of worlds" and getting all excited without stopping to think of what that really means. Oooh, the dinosaurs on this planet are red! The ones on the last planet were yellow! How exciting!
  5. Can Playstation avatars be a thing again? I was hoping to find a Persona one since I'm tired of Joel as my icon but they don't seem to exist.

ah. well yeah. I guess that Sony thought that most folks would use profile pics and ask for real name to friends so they could see that instead

Pssh, real names. I like you guys but I don't like you THAT much.

My Avatar option list is pretty massive. Maybe that's only because I chose it from PS3?

  6. Oh thank god, they finally patched the PS4 controller disconnecting problem for Binding of Isaac. I can finally play again!

  7. All the Adventure Time games are shit and they really shouldn't be. Help me, Telltale Games, you're my only hope.
  8. The finale of season 2 is pretty important, though, seeing that it's the introduction of the Lich. New viewers should at least watch that. Also, which season was Holly Jolly Secrets?
  9. Yeah the presentation is great. In fact, I rarely say this but I think the game could potentially make a great thriller/action movie. I dig the whole "what if the nazis won because they had robots?" concept. I can't think of many films that do the super nazi angle.
  10. I agree. I think the first game I played that did that was Resistance, and I find it to be a really nice compromise between old school and new school design. Regenerating health ala most modern shooters is rather lazy and encourages unbalanced enemy configurations, but I always hated having to save every two minutes in Doom because I only had five health left.
  11. Wolfenstein: The New Order. I originally overlooked this game but I bought it on a whim during a Black Friday sale and it's turning out to be an unexpected gem. On the surface it just looks like a generic run-of-the-mill shooter like all the others, and to some extent it is, but while playing the game you can tell that id was less concerned with pushing the envelope than they were about just making it fun as hell to shoot nazis. The game has a lot of things you've seen a million times like stealth, dual wielding, perks, alt fire, and turrets, but it does each of these things so well that I don't even care that it's not original. They didn't reinvent the wheel, but they did make it better. I'm having more fun with this game than I ever did with any Call of Duty campaign. It's just dumb, mindless nazi killing action and I love it. Also health and armor packs are a thing again. Health does regenerate but only to the nearest multiple of 20, so if your health is down to 35 it won't go any higher than 40 without a med kit.
  12. I must be lucky or something because all four (FOUR!) GameStops in my area seem to be staffed by helpful and competent people.
  13. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory did it best: a fully realized story for single player and a separate, additional co-op campaign that takes place during the main campaign as a side story. Why the hell doesn't anyone ever do this anymore?
  14. I was hoping for a Van Helsing type of deal but it doesn't look like the case
  15. I believe that some games you can play while partially downloaded, but your mileage may vary. If I remember correctly, The Last of Us lets you start the single player at about 20% or so, but Garden Warfare only let me do a tutorial until the game was 100%. I think it just depends on the developer.
  16. The install size is the same but downloading from disc is obviously MUCH faster. We're never going to go all digital until the telecoms are forced to give us faster speeds, and who knows when that will be?
  17. Aw hell, my ps4 hard drive is already full. Guess it's time to look into upgrades. Man, that happened a lot sooner than I thought it would.
  18. I'd rather Square announce a new mobile app that wipes all memory of Dirge of Cerberus from your brain when you use it. The tumors would be worth it.
  19. FInally finished Dragon Age after about 80 hours. Killed all 10 dragons and did damn near every quest except for a few unfinished scavenger hunts. The end battle wasn't quite as exciting as the one in Origins, but it's still a better ending than Mass Effect 3. Damn, I was seriously hooked on this game. I never say this but bring on the season pass! I can't wait for more.
  20. If they do remake FFVII (they won't), they should rewrite the script because the story of FFVII was incomprehensible garbage.
  21. An FFVII remake is never going to happen. If it hasn't happened by now, it's not gonna happen ever.
  22. If the newest one is lollipop I guess it must be. Here are the changes I noticed: - New keyboard. I don't care for it and I switched to Swiftkey. - Notifications on lock screen. You can go directly to an app from the lock screen by double tapping the notification. You now have to swipe straight up to unlock your device, so bear that in mind if you were in the habit of swiping left or right. - Email app was replaced by Gmail app. It's a piece of shit and it doesn't even work for me. - New back, home, and menu icons. I don't know why they changed this because now they're just a bunch of vague shapes. - In the past, at least on my tablet, swiping down from the upper left would pull down a list of app notifications while pulling down from the right would bring down tablet settings. Now, pulling down from anywhere at the top will bring down the notifications and pulling down a second time will expand the menu to bring down the settings too. There's also a big blue button for switching user profiles. - New settings menu There's probably more but I only messed with it for a little bit.
  23. Wow, this new android update on my tablet sucks ass and the new email app is worthless and doesn't sync. Anyone got any recommendations on a good email app to replace the default one?
  24. Has anyone tried playing the Wii U version online yet? How has your performance been? Because my results have been, shall we say, mixed. Sometimes the matches are near flawless and sometimes it has to stop and buffer literally every two seconds.
  25. Plus there was a HUGE delay in between episodes 1 and 2 of Wolf Among Us. That right there pretty much put me off the idea of buying the season pass at launch.
