  2. Why is anybody here acting like they'll actually be able to get their hands on one of these things? Everyone should know the drill by now. They'll all get snatched up by bots and scalpers and then instead of making more to meet the demand Nintendo will just stop making them altogether. Every. Fucking. Time.
  3. @TheMightyEthan @MetalCaveman @deanbmmv Buncha wendigos in this thread.
  4. So my friend bought me the PC version of GTA V because he wants me to play it again online with him so bad.  I get back in to rejoin the old crew and I realize something awful.  Back in the day, he named our old crew Tactical Hotpockets.  Kind of a goofy name but whatever.  The problem is our tag...THOT.

  5. That's debatable. There are people see such games as the western interpretation of the genre since adventure games back in the day were known primarily for their puzzles and these newer games prioritize narrative over puzzles. Still, whether you think it's a VN or an adventure game, my gripe remains unchanged. Walking around in a confusing environment trying to find a bottle is boring no matter what the genre is.
  6. Life is Strange. This one was okay but I don't feel like it nearly lived up to the hype people were giving it. The engine it uses pales in comparison to others in the genre, even Telltale's. The lip syncing was really bad and sometimes their lips didn't move at all. I would be willing to look past that if the rest of it was better, but I didn't really think it was anything special. The time puzzles were the best part. Those were fun and I wish the whole game was about them, kind of like Ghost Trick or something. During the parts where you're expected to get by without them, the areas were often confusing to navigate and the objectives were tedious and not fun. I actually had to look up a walkthrough at one point just to figure out where I was supposed to walk to find a stupid bottle. That is ridiculous for a visual novel. I also thought the writing was uneven and inconsistent at times. And I hated probably half of the characters, especially Chloe. Like I said, it was okay but I doubt I'll ever play it again.
  7. As much as I would like PC ports of the Persona series, I still find it unlikely even after reading that article for the reasons FLD explained.
  8. Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga remake. Looks like they added a side campaign called Bowser's Minions where you play from the perspective of...Bowser's minions.
  9. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 looks way more anime than the first one. I don't have a problem with that, really, it's just unusual to see the art style shift so much.
  10. I would much rather they make a whole new game. Anyone interested in Pokemon already owns a 3DS as it is, so a Switch port seems rather pointless.
  11. I don't really see the problem with doing "Now in development" announcements if they're brief, like the Metroid and Pokemon ones were. They just said "Hey, we're working on it" and moved on. They didn't waste a bunch of time talking to developers behind the scenes who went on about how excited they are to be working on it like EA did that one year. That's something I can definitely understand not liking.
  12. Prime 4 Pokemon on the Switch An actual Metroid on the 3DS that isn't spinoff bullshit They don't have actual footage for the first two yet but weren't people just saying that you like to know you have something to look forward to rather than having a conference with no surprises at all? The fact these games even exist is fantastic news. My E3 ranking goes like this: Nintendo Sony Devolver Ubisoft Microsoft PC show EA Bethesda Yeah, I'm putting Bethesda below EA. EA was shit, but at least they aren't deliberately making the industry worse. Bethesda's constant Skyrim shilling, paid mods, and the fact they expect people to actually pay 60 dollars all over again for Fallout 4 VR kind of make me want them to fail as a company. They haven't even started on Elder Scrolls VI, if rumor is to be believed, and I believe it. Wolfenstein II was not enough for me to forgive all the other bullshit.
  13. In some more lighthearted news...
  14. Pack it in. Nintendo actually won E3 this year.
  15. Videos that autoplay when you visit someone's Youtube channel. Don't do that.
  16. I don't understand why they'd make a prequel when the whole reason people were clamoring for another game is because the last one ended on a cliffhanger.
  17. I played Monster Hunter 4 on the 3DS. It had some pretty good things going for it, but also some infuriating things as well. The combat is structured in such a way that you gotta learn the flow of your weapons kind of like an MMO character's skills, which is cool, but the game is already damn hard and sometimes it feels like it goes out of its way to make things unnecessarily harder. Healing potions, for example. Why in the name of all that is holy does your character have to stop and pose every time he drinks a potion? I can understand needing enough time to drink the potion without getting hit. That makes sense. But stopping to pose? You're in the middle of a fight, you idiot! Get your head in the game!
  18. I was at work all day and just now got the chance to catch up on today's shows. Ubi was kind of eh for me. They finally made that pirate game I wanted except it's esports shit. They finally revealed Beyond Good and Evil 2 again...and it's a god damn prequel. South Park was neat, but we've known about that game for ages. I still don't care about Assassin's Creed and that spaceship game is doomed to fail. That Rabbids game did not win me over either. It's such a blatant XCOM ripoff that it's embarrassing. Also there is no way that Far Cry 5 trailer was "actual gameplay." You're not gonna trick me again, Ubi. At least they kept the Just Dance cringe to a minimum. I'd give them a C. Sony was good. It wasn't great. It was good. Some of the VR games looked kind of neat. I particularly like the idea behind Moss and would like to know more about it. Uncharted looked okay but I'm kind of burned out on that series at this point. I also don't really feel much excitement for Days Gone. I already played Last of Us and that game doesn't seem very different. I did like what they showed from Dad of War though. Oh yeah, Team Ico games are overrated. There, I said it. Spiderman looked pretty good, although there were a lot more QTEs than I would like. I hope they're not that prevalent throughout the entire game. I'd give them a B-, mostly for Spiderman. So I guess I'd say Sony won? But this year was so underwhelming that that isn't saying much. PC show was a snoozefest. I didn't even bother finishing it. If you don't like survival or RTS games there's really nothing for you there. Also, if I never see another fucking Skyrim announcement in my life it will be too soon.
  19. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Fuck the Creation Club. I know paid mods when I see it, Bethesda. I'm on to your shit.
