Enjoyed Fable 2 and to a lesser extent 3, might pick this one up. Does Microsoft usually sell it's HD ports at a discount like Sony?

IGN posted their top 10 choices for The Doctor. I'm only familiar with Ben Whishaw from I'm Not There, but he definitely looks the part of The Doctor. I think he'd be a safe choice, but a good choice. As for as Idris Elba goes, I've only seen him in Thor, but a blackman as The Doctor would be good to see, and a tough as nails black guy would definitely mix things up. Robb Stark would also be an interesting choice, maybe because he's one of the only actors in their that I'm familiar with, so I can picture it better, I don't know if I'd be in favour of it, but it'd be interesting none-the-less. And finally, David Tennant. I could totally see Moffat doing that... I just don't know if David Tennant would come back.

I'm team Rickon. If something ever happens to the R-dawg I'M DONE FOREVER.

Yeah that's what the IGN guy said.

Yeah for sure, the IGN review, I don't know who that reviewer is, and I don't necessarily trust him, did have some valid complaints, like repetitive gameplay, boring combat/platforming, and the best parts of the game only being there 4 times. However, I've seen some 7s and even some 8s from other places... SO WHO FUCKING KNOWS ANYMORE. But the fact that the first review was 5.9 (also, 100 point scales, stupid or just self indulgent?) and Capcom knew they had a turd on their hands and just gave up on it, had me concerned. But since it's actually getting decent reviews, so I think the more likely explanation is Capcom doesn't know what the fuck they're doing. If nothing else, this strikes me as a game that could get 10000x times better with a sequel.

Yeah, me, Wally, Strangelove, and old retar-- I mean, FLD, are just discussing Remember Me and gaming scores.
-
I'm drawing a blank here. What's this generation's best shooter again? But the thing is, the score itself is really meaningless. You need to read the review to understand the reasoning behind it. One man's 7 is another's man 8 and so on. This is especially important to take into account when someone draws some arbitrary quality cutoff line like Cowboy's 8. My arbitrary cut off would probably be a 7. Anything below a 7 is probably not worth my already limited gaming time.

UNCHARTED 3, BITCH!
-
Sometimes a 7 or even a 6 is more worthwhile and interesting than a generic 8+. You make it sound like you're unwilling to even consider trying a game that got more "average" scores just because there's a ton of uninspired shootfests out there that scored a 9. I'm sorry but that's beyond retarded. Case in point: if IGN's score for Remember Me ends up being the lowest with the average being around 7 (which, so far, looks like it might be the case), then you can bet your ass I'll be grabbing it once it hits a cheaper price point. It sounds like it has some really interesting elements, even if the gameplay itself is weak or average. I don't have a single uninspired shooter in my gaming collection. So you know what... YOU'RE BEYOND RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man what a win for Sony if the PS4 was 50 bones less.
-
Yep. Episode 9 is always the best. Season one: Ned's Head. Season two: the Battle of Blackwater. Season 3: The Red Wedding. Season 4: Bran buy's a dirt bike to get around on.
-
I just think there's more than enough quality 8+ out of 10 games out there that I'll never have the time to play, so unless it's something I'm really interested in, if the general reviews are anything below an 8/10, I just plum don't have time for it.
-
People who buy online passes are suckers anyways. Though it's good to hear EA retroactively removed them. Now we can play these games online!!! ...till the servers get shut off next week cause it's EA

I want to be the family member who threatens to cut the other family members.

Sigh... and that kind of attitude is exactly why we have inflated scores in the first place. Seriously, anything below 7 is bad? What the hell? It's not like a numerical score alone means much... I don't think there's anything wrong with that attitude. There's so many great games out there, gamers shouldn't have to settle for anything less than great these days. However, Remember Me's reviews seem to be all over the place, we'll have to see how this one is once the dust settles.

A great idea followed by crushing disappointment... The TCP Effect.
-
At this point, even for 5 dollars I don't think "mediocre" games are worth the time to play them when there's significantly better games I've yet to play. So unless Capcom wants me to pay me to play, Remember Me can go to hell.

It was brutal and hard to watch, but the worst part for me was watching Grey Wind die. Seeing people die is one thing, but animals make sad
-
Also I saw someone suggest Richard Ayoade for the new Doctor... My reaction: Yes... yes, a thousand times, yes.
-
That's what I figured. Might be time for a lady Doctor? A red headed Time Lady? Or maybe it's time the Doctor went black? Course once you go black, you never go back. Anyways, if they just shot the 50th anniversary special, the Christmas special must be getting ready to shoot, which means they probably don't have a ton of time to cast the 12th Doctor. Also if the Valeyard exists "between the 12th and 13th" and John Hurt is the 9th, that might mean name dropping the Valeyard in the season finale wasn't just fan service...
-
Yeah... also Cumberbatch is a big time Hollywood actor now and probably doesn't want to commit to 13 episodes a year when he could be making movies. My question to you, Dean, is how known were David Tennant and Matt Smith to the general UK public before they got the role?
-
Oh man, that stinks. Matt Smith is my favourite Doctor, and also my first Doctor. Luckily we get the two more specials. Still... it stinks. Give us either Rupert Grint or Benedict Cumberbatch as the next Doctor, please.

I completely forgot about this band... this song is beautiful:

They said GBA games are coming to Wii U. I wish they'd let you buy NES/SNES/N64 GB/GBC/GBA/DS games on your Wii U, and transfer them to your 3DS, and back and forth, like PS3/P/V I remember loving the heck out of these games, hopefully they are as good as I remember. I don't remember the link system being confusing, but I was a nerdy 13 year old so who knows.
-
I've been waiting for this since they announced the 3DS Virtual Console: I had both for the GBC back in the day but Ages somehow went missing. Ever since then, I've been wanting to play it again.
