Don't think it has a DVD drive mate. That's why I said the PS2 Classics, that have been appearing on the PSN Store in recent months. Makes sense, where'd you read this interview?

Makes sense when her most defining characteristic is her horribly annoying voice..........

Same here, and yet, I'll often have a lazy Sunday afternoon and can't find anything I want to play.

APRIL 3rd!!! EB GAMES!!!!!!! SHIT'S GONNA GET REAL!!!!!!!!!
-
I was never able to get into it as a kid, but maybe I'll give it another chance after I finish Fringe in a few weeks.

Well, I'm hoping they can do 70 bones again, we'll see! You also have to factor in the lack of Monster Hunter, which was HUGE in Japan. But it's hard to say there won't be another huge app like that. Only time will tell.... Did we ever find out if it can play PS2 Classics?

There's a whole big Batman world out there. Nolan barely shows any of it. Yeah I also saw Batman Forever and Batman & Robin in the 90s! That makes me a Batexpert right?!

I enjoyed it. I'm not a comic book fan or a Batman fan, apart from the Nolan movies, so I had to take the plot with a grain of salt, but the combat and gameplay made up for that, in my mind at least. Though there was a few characters I had never heard of before, most notably Talia. I am assuming her father was Liam Neeson from Batman Begins? I don't remember him having a daughter. Once I started playing a lot of the sidequests, the excitement of some of the characters being there was lost on me.

The Vita might offer better graphics but so did the PSP and we all know how that turned out. Yep, the PSP sold 71 million units(and counting) becoming the 3rd, and give it 9 million more units and it grabs second, best selling handheld console of all time after the GBA and NDS. The PSP is pretty much the first handheld to seriously contest Nintendos handheld dominance in 3 generations (as an example the GameGear only ever sold 11 million units). Sure it hasn't sold 150million like the NDS, but 70million is by no means something to be snuffed at. The Gamecube and Xbox combined only ever did 50million sales in the face of the PS2s 100million+. If providing a higher powered alternative handheld to Nintendos offering hadn't worked out with the PSP do you really think they'd be releasing the Vita with the same draw? I'm not saying the PSP wasn't a success, but I do think Sony intended the PSP to compete better with the DS, and I also believed it would sell better outside Japan. While it did sell well, the DS was a monster, and the PSP could have had a better chunk of that IMO. The Vita is in situation now, with smart pricing, and good advertising, it could maybe even surpass the 3DS as the lead dedicated handheld this generation. Sony should be pushing the Vita to be more than just the "alternative to 3DS" like the PSP was for the DS. But having substantial hidden costs in a system already more expensive than its competitors (how much is an iPod touch?), when the 3DS is has an almost 12 month head start (albeit a slightly rocky head start) and when smart phone gaming is taking away a lot of the "blue ocean", is NOT the way to do it. It's just disappointing.

Honestly, that's why I was asking you. Regardless, the memory cards are still over priced and Sony's shooting itself in the footage with this. The problem is that the memory cards are required for certain games. The 3DS is picking up sales, and finally has some most own software. Not to mention a 170 dollar price tag that gives you everything you need to play games right out of the box. The Vita might offer better graphics but so did the PSP and we all know how that turned out. I'm still getting mine on launch day, but I just don't know if I'm going to get the 64 GB card...

Ignoring Johnny's post (sorry Johnny). It's not so much that they're last in the timeline, but it makes sense that they take place in two different time lines because they both start almost exactly the same. So the belief is that they take place at the same time, with two separate Links. Ganon being dead makes sense as well, if Legend of Zelda is after Wind Waker/Phantom Hourglass/Spirit Tracks like I suspect, than he'd be dead from Legend of Zelda, and hence needing to be restored. All this talk about the Oracle games is really reminding me, Nintendo needs to hurry up and release them on the Virtual Console. EDIT: Upon reading some of Johnny's older posts, you're reading waaay too much into things. There's a very loose timeline with a lot of holes and things that don't make sense and entire games that don't make sense. A lot of the references are nods to players who've played previous games. It makes sense for one game to reference another but stringing them all together doesn't really work. That's Nintendo's fault for poor planning but clearly story hasn't always been their biggest focus. It's not like we're dealing with Star Wars here. I will admit that clearly Wind Waker was meant as a follow up to Ocarina, that's the most obvious out of them (besides direct sequels like Majora's Mask).

Ok, let's go through the list, manufacturing the game cart, manufacturing the case, printing manuals, shipping the game. All of that adds up, replace that with simply downloading GB or two, that's much more cost effective. Retail games are more expensive to produce, so they should cost more than downloadable games. Where are you getting the info that SD isn't fast enough? Not saying that isn't the case, but I haven't heard that before.

I've never played a Metal Gear. I think I'll pick that up and just read a synopsis on the first Solid game.

Reviews are coming in... ranging from an IGN 9 to a Destructoid 5. I don't really see the point in reviewing this game, it's Mario Kart, you either like it or you don't but it doesn't need a big "shake up" like Jim Sterling claims. So I ask you: what characters would you have liked to have seen in the new Mario Kart? Personally, since we're still celebrating 25 years of Zelda, and 3D Land had a Zelda level and the boomarangs are, apparently, in tribute to Zelda, I don't see why we can't have some Toon Link in Mario Kart, and maybe have a Lost Woods course?

$120 for a memory card?? Why not use SD cards? The 3DS does! When Nintendo does what you don't... that's a bad sign. Hey, I don't have a problem with the price tag, IF they are going to pass savings onto people buying their games digitally. Other wise you might as well just buy the game via retail. This entire thing is completely counter productive to Sony's digital-based efforts.

Now that you're done, what would you give the game out of 10??? THAT'S IT!!!
-
I cut you! Just kidding. Anyways, let's all agree that is the best controller ever.

I also don't use my shield much, but now that I have the Goddess Shield, which heals itself, I'll take one or two hits with it. It's too bad, I understand what they were trying to do with the durability of the shield, this way it gives you something to upgrade besides just size, but maybe they're just too easy to break? I beat the fourth dungeon boss last night. Now that was a battle.

I am really enjoying upgrading my equipment, I hope this sticks around and is maybe even expanded upon in future Zelda games, as it really suits the world. I can see a lot of potential in upgrading swords as well. Some very minor non-plot related spoilers here: I just made it to the fourth temple, but I was surprised I had to return to the first temple again. In all the Zelda games I've played (which is most of them) I can't think of ever having to do that. I had heard we had to return to the same areas again, but I was figuring it was trips back to Faron Woods, etc not having to go back to a dungeon, find a small keys, and fight some mini-bosses. I don't really mind that though, these areas are so well designed and so interesting to look at, I don't mind coming back. Some other thoughts: I think this has been mentioned before, but when the game was in development, like most of you, I thought the sky would be akin to the sea in Wind Waker, but it's really just Hyrule Field that can't be walked across. Or even more similarly, a larger Termina Field, with Skyloft serving as Clock Town. Once you think of it like that, I get more of the 'Ocarina' vibe out of it, which isn't a bad thing. I'd be interested in hearing why certain series mainstays were kept and others weren't.

I still have mine too! I just can't be bothered to find AA batteries for my Game Boy.

Purchased via the Virtual Console. First game I ever beat as a kid. Will I beat it again? No.
