I ended up just upgrading my potions and using them once I got down to 1 or 2 hearts during boss fights. The fairies were pretty useless with only giving you 6 hearts, especially near the end when I was only missing two containers. I wouldn't have minded some armour like in Twilight Princess (sans the ruppee charging) or great fairies courage from Ocarina... but I probably only say that because I went straight from fighting whathisface to Demise without reloading potions... needless to say I died in my first attempt.

Oh you! What a joker. ....It probably would have made more sense if I read the first part of your post. I just saw "brown tunic" and immediately freaked the hell out. As demonstrated last night in the Assassin's Creed thread, I haven't been too observant as of late.

Well there's blue fairies that don't revive you but do say "hey! listen!" and yellow fairies that can be a bit rude at times.

Returning to the same areas again and again didn't really bother me too much, they at least made an attempt at making the area different or giving you a new area to explore within that area. However, I wouldn't have been opposed to a fourth overall area... maybe snow? However, the more I think about it, the more the world design reminds me of 2D Zelda's, specifically games like Link's Awakening or the Oracle games. There was a lot crammed into those worlds, and everything had a purpose. He must mean a pink fairy, the ones that revive you.

Ahhh dammit I wrote out a huge post and then it got deleted. Damn you Firefox and/or IP Board. OK SO: I just beat Revelation's. I liked it! It was shorter than I expected, but after what is essentially the same game 3 years in a row, it might have been best for them to keep this one shorter. Though really, I know it isn't the best idea from a business standpoint, they might have been better off combining the plot elements/best parts from Brotherhood and Revelations and putting them into one game and released it sometime in between when the two were released (last June?). Ok time for real spoilers:

Getting off topic but I just can't get into PC gaming. I'm too much of a Mac and console guy, it goes against everything I believe in!!!

Ocarina had a much more immersive world... for it's time at least. The only modern games that have made me feel like that again were Red Dead Redemption and maybe Skyrim (which I'm too afraid to play on my PS3 till a few more patches!).

My counter said 50 hrs but I'm pretty sure it's because I left the game paused a bunch of times while I had dinner/shoveled the driveway/etc. It's probably a 40 hours to do the mainquest and some of the sidequests. There was a little bit of filler at the very end, when you return to the forest/water area and the fire area after the 6th dungeon, you'll know what I mean.

Uncharted 3 for 33% off just weeks after it came out is a great deal. There's a bunch of good deals there if I lived in the states I'd pick up a few of those....

Just a day away from FFVI coming to the PSN... it'd be great if they did a port of the DS FFIII for the PSN... or maybe, finally put, Crisis Core on the PSN so we can play that on the Vita with dual thumbsticks. That'd be sweeet.

Tunics are one thing this game is lacking, but I guess if you were to change Link's tunic colour, that wouldn't make sense. Post 6th Dungeon Complaints:

Nothing is worse than people complaining about region locks. Does anyone ever import games? I don't know anyone who does. Maybe a game like Xenoblade for the Wii but that's coming over anyways. You do realize that you can download a game off the PS3 PSN and then copy it over to the Vita right??

Hearing Square Enix isn't joining the UMD Passport program was a little disappointing. Especially when I counted 9 UMDs on my shelf. Ooops!
