  1. I always play as a knight. I know it's boring but I don't know if I'd want to commit to being a rouge or mage for an entire RPG.
  2. So played the prologue last night. A few thoughts. It was cool watching the countdown clock go, and then the game immediately booted up once it hit 0, doesn't sound like that's how it works on PC so a win for consoles. The world looks beautiful, character models do kind of look like ass though. Gameplay is pretty good, I'm playing as your standard sword and shield, I can press R2 to attack or hold it down to repeatedly attack. The tactical camera is pretty great too, I like that it can be just activated whenever, it's not an either/or situation. I'm looking forward to diving in deeper but for now I want to finish off Ass Creed.
  3. They're the view points once you've synced them they look like >>
  4. Not on Asscreed, though I'd suspect that's an Ubisoft thing, but there's PlayStation games with crossplay with PC players, like Final Fantasy XIV.
  5. I think you can buy Helix Credits which essentially let you "hack" the game. I believe there's also time saver microtransactions. So I finally got co-op to work last night. I really enjoyed it. It's not something I'd want to do with a stranger, but with my buddy from work (or you guys!) it worked really well. You can do free roam and have access to the entire city or do specific missions, which are well designed.
  6. The PS4 has a countdown clock going right to 9pm PST tomorrow, so I imagine that's when it'll be playable, but I'll confirm tomorrow.
  7. So has anyone actually gotten co-op to work? Everytime I try inviting someone it just goes to "Please wait..." screen forever.
  8. Awe hell yeah bro! Welcome to having a PS4 in multiple rooms of your house, THIS IS NEXT-GEN!!!!
  9. Also can we talk about how lazy the real world stuff is? So, I, the player, am just playing a game, when these hakers come and its up to me to... I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT. Why even bother with the real world bullshit, Ubisoft? This is stupid. THIS GAME IS STUPID. I need to sit down.
  10. My copy arrived yesterday. Man, I just want to punch Arno in the fucking face every time he speaks. Worst. Assassin. Ever. And the characters not even having French accents really makes the game feel like it takes place in 1700's Britain. And then you run out to the streets and hear the French voices and you start feeling like it's Paris until a guard yells at you "Oye, U, m8! Stop!". Just a weird decision that breaks the immersion. So if I want to play with the Edward, Connor, or Ezio robes, I have to unlock them with Assassins Creed Initiates? Except when I login to that, there's nothing to fucking do. And it doesn't even recognize that I've played Black Flag or any other the other Assassins Creed games that I played with the same uplay account. Fucking uplay, man. WHY IS THERE FOUR DIFFERENT FUCKING CURRENCIES?! Jesus. What the hell are "Creed Points"? Also why wouldn't you call them Creed Credits? That makes more sense. Then we have Livres, Sync Points, and Helix Credits. This is stupid game design. Paris itself looks pretty but holy fuck this game performs like shit. Absolute shit. You're telling me, you can't get your current-gen exclusive, that launches 12 months after the console launch, to look better than your cross-gen game from the year before?!?!?!!? Also last night I downward free-ran off a building, and then I fell through the ground.
  11. Way to play right into Microsoft's hand.
  12. The Walking Dead Season Two So many manly tears. I guess there's 5 different endings, some of them radically different than others, so I wonder where they're going to go from here? Also: no platinum trophy? C'mon Telltale, c'mon.
  13. Via the PSN: Just the standard edition. Fuck bonus content that doesn't even have trophies. NO TROPHIES?! TO HELL WITH YOU.
  14. I completely forgot about the bomber notebook, good call.
  15. If they're changing anything I can 100% guarantee it'll be the save system. In the original you can do a hard save, which will erase all your progress and return you back to Day 1 with all the items (missing bombs, rupees, arrows, etc), or a quick save at an owl statue, but that will erase itself when you load. It would be cool if you could wear the fierce deity mask outside of the final boss fight. You could do it with Game Shark back in the day it was awesome.
  16. Target Canada, brah. I think I read the US sale starts later?
  17. Target has a B2G1 sale. I wish it was in a few weeks when DA:I, FC4, ACU, etc etc comes out but oh well. I picked up Walking Dead Season 2 on PS4, Rayman Legends on PS4, and Borderlands 2 on Vita. I wanted to pick up The Wolf Among Us PS4 but they didn't seem to have it, so I went with Borderlands which was a good call, so far it runs and looks great on Vita (granted I'm not too far into it), and controls great too, also it's PSTV compatible.
  18. "Sick with the flu" yeah yeah right. I get "sick with the flu" after 10 tequila shots too.
  19. Then go read a book, you nerd!
  20. I disliked that there was essentially only 4 areas, and no connection between any of them, besides the sky area. You least that feeling of adventure you get when you go to Lake Hylia, Zora River, The Lost Woods, the snow mountain from TP, Zora's Domain, etc etc for the first time. I know Majora's Mask also had 4 areas 5 or 6 areas, but they were environments we hadn't seen in a 3D Zelda, and all the areas had a lot of character and atmosphere, something missing from SS. Also the puzzles outside of the temples was a little gruelling at times, I like exploring the world between dungeons, but when everything is a puzzle, it just sort of becomes tedious for me. The motion controls were alright, but I don't believe they improved the game in any significant way, and most of the music was good, the story and characters were awesome. Though, for a AAA game in 2011 (even if it was on Wii) it's kind of inexcusable to not have voice acting. Not saying Link should talk, but the NPCs should. I liked the art style though!
  21. Zelda II and Skyward Sword are the worst Zelda games. Oh and the DS games. I will now rank the Zelda series. 1. Ocarina of Time 2. Majora's Mask 3. A Link to the Past 4. Twilight Princess 5. Oracle of Ages/Seasons 6. Link's Awakening 7. Wind Waker 8. Minish Cap 9. Legend of Zelda 10. Skyward Sword 11. A Link Between Worlds 12. Zelda II 13. Pile of touchscreen garbage 1 14. Pile of touchscreen garbage 2 This is the definitive ranking and can not be argued with.
  22. I've never face palmed on the internet before*... but.... I think, I think this is it..... *Probably not true
  23. Complete remake, yo!!! Let's be honest, the new Zelda isn't going to be better than Majora's Mask. Regardless, this is cool, and I didn't mind how the OoT remake looked on 3DS (though I felt like it could have been a bit more modern looking). Hopefully afterwards they do a new 3DS Zelda game in the style of the N64 remakes.
