I got it to work after about 3 tries last night. I have a friend who I want to play with and experience the aw-inspiring co-op liquor store robbing, so after I got past that intro race and the car insurance part I called it quits. I have to say, Rockstar botched the tutorial. Its a semi-instanced race that can be run instanced but instead of allowing you to just do the tutorial solo, it requires to check for other players first. When in a solo server, the race should never look for other players. I raced solo, no other players joined my session, but it did wait for a while trying to find other players, so its not as if other players are required.

I did the same. Turns out my wireless Monochrome Xbox Controller went to hell during my move and I opened up my wired controller for my 360, and the other for my PC. -

I don't know if you guys heard, but the guy who unlocks the door to the government in the morning has the flu, so the government couldn't get in to work today. I hope he gets well soon.

I so want an SSD but sometimes I look at the prices and I think my HD is good enough at its current speed. Let me know what you think of what ever SSD you go with, I may follow suit soon enough.

If anyone can make a controller like that feel right it's valve, but I guess I'm just not interested in seeing the controller evolve so drastically. I like the set up of current controllers, and the ps4 looks like a step in a new direction that doesn't make me feel scared.

Looks like I will continue to use my Xbox controller on my pc for a while. I have no interest in that controller, I don't see it as a step forward for controller design, rater a step sideways for design. It's different for the sake of being different.

Doesn't look terrible. Although as long as there is racing in this movie, and some kind of rival drama, then you are pretty accurate to the Need For Speed games.

I changed it to complex because I kept losing it. I didn't have this problem using the same white dot reticle in RDR or GTA IV.

I never bothered to swap them out. Infact they are the majority of my tweeking that I will be doing to my team. I am going to watch Gronk very closely, he's my secret weapon!

What bothers me most is that some gas stations are available for you to walk in, but not all. Burgershot and Cluckin' Bell were enterable in GTA IV, but not in V. I just wish they allowed you to enter. Also, you can't rob clothing stores!

Update on my team. I beat my boss, and then last week I got 150 points. Here is my line up for this week so far. I'm about to do some tweeking.

Not as big of a fan about Trevor, mostly because of the mission in the spoiler below. I don't mind him as much, but I prefer Franklin to almost everyone else, but Michaels story is starting to really sit with me, and I'm liking playing with him more. I bought a Bravado Gauntlet, (Modern Camaro/Challenger car) and lost it immediately. I was a little upset with that, but money is easy to come by in this game so I wan't too upset.

I would sit here and Poo poo it, but for some reason I just feel like this is only the beginning. If this thing gets traction, we could very well be running SteamOS for all future games. It won't be an immediate move but we may see a shift. I'm only interested because Microsoft wants to shift its gaming community to the Xbox, and I want to be a PC gamer for a bit of a while longer. If Valve is so hell bent on transitioning people over to Steam OS, which it sounds like they just want to have another market to play games on that isn't windows, than maybe they should allow people to dual boot Steam OS and Windows... But maybe thats more work than I'm aware of.

I saw that... Is it correct in saying that in order to play your Windows/mac games you need a windows/mac computer to stream games to the Steam OS?

Just started playing as Trevor. I like Wade, mostly because in the first mission when he was sitting in the back of the truck I accidentally knocked him out and had to wait for his dumb ass to get back into my truck.

The worst part was trying to use the analogue sticks like a mouse. Sure it sort of locked on to the "X" on the corner, but still it took me longer than I would like to admit to get the feel of that thing.

I think we need a new rule for the next week or so. NOBODY is allowed to post GTA V stuff during the hours of 8 am to 6 pm Pacific time. Otherwise I'm going to go crazy reading all of this stuff at work.

I'm about to get the prep work on my first heist. I did my recon work, and had to do a mission. I hired cheap help, because I blew all my money already in stock, and am going to go about it the "smart" way. I'm excited to do it tonight. One cool thing, my brother is at my place and he is playing too on my PS3. I told him to create his own profile on my playstation so he doesn't overwrite my saves, and apparently thats how it works. I had no idea.

I have auto aim and aim assist off and its extremely difficult to aim while driving. I find that I often lose the reticle as well, an issue I didn't have in Red Dead or GTA IV with the same settings. Oh well.

I haven't done much of the missions yet, but I did steal a taxi and did some taxi missions. Its funny, the taxi missions dropped the timer from the pre-GTA IV games, and yet I find it more fun. I also stole an airplane and tried to land it on the Great Ocean Highway and blew up, tried to shoot a jet ski driver off of his jet ski while driving my own jet ski, took a tanker truck and plowed through deer, found an armored truck and failed to rob it, accidentally save a car I wasn't interested in (I want to get rid of this car) and payed to get it out of hock (I really don't want this car), and fought some Ballas.

Eh, the character models have never been super fantastic in the GTA games. At least there are boobs in the game!

3 out of 4 were worth watching.
That music they play when Herbie is racing is the part that really gets me amped, despite it's late 70's/early 80's vibe.
