  1. I'm playing the first Sly. I like it a lot. It has great visuals(cel shading transitions beautifully to HD), great voiceacting, and the controls are tight. But i just found it too repetitive. The gameplay is simple and after each level you get a new skill, but its nothing cool or anything, its just another way to use different platforming types like sliding and landing on narrow paths. Oh well. Im at Mz Ruby, so im halfway done. Has anyone played Sly 2? Is it better?
  2. House Of The Deadl: Overkill is 9.99 on newegg for you Move people. If you like rail shooters and need more Move games, I think its a good deal.
  3. I was ready to say I was done with God of War, but then I saw the trailer. Im not. I want more God of War. More. MORE.

I was done with God of War about an hour into the second game.

It really didn't need a sequel at all to me.

I felt that Chains of Olympus really was a great game for that franchise. It's the only game I've played on my PSP that I loved and felt like replaying. And, it made me wish for a sequel.

  4. Ugh....that part is terrible. I dont think anyone can blame you for quitting because of that. I have the Ultimate Edition. There's a lot of stuff in it. But I havent played most of it. From what I recall, the Warden's Keep was the only must have dlc. Mostly because of the storage chest.
  5. http://gawker.com/5902999/did-you-choose-your-pet-the-right-way "How did you select your pet? The right way, or the wrong way? Is your pet cute, and can you prove it with a picture? Answers go in the comments." Is this a fucking a joke? Or are they really that stupid?

Id also like to know how to do...that.
  7. I visit Gawker every once in a while(but never leave a comment) and the writers there are all pretty snarky and dickish. Theyre all a bunch of Plunketts.
  8. What do you mean? Was it different before? Was it harder to leave a comment?
  9. http://gawker.com/5902688/greetings-todays-the-day-all-starred-commenters-will-die Im not sure I quite understand. Are they removing the star thing entirely, or removing them from people who had them? And then they have to get them all over again? Kotaku commenters are some serious angry assholes. Im sure they wont like this one bit.
  10. That video is supposed to be really old, but I barely saw it a couple of days ago. I feel so retarded for laughing so much.
  11. I also didnt notice the Harley thing. I had to read about it. Weird.
  12. Can you actually talk to other people online on the 3DS? It has a mic, so I figure you can.

Yeah you can do it on Revelations I think...

Yeah I was playing RE Revelations. I was playing Raid mode by myself and I was thinking how awkward it would be if you couldnt talk to your partner.

  13. Is it really going to be called "Ni No Kuni" outside of Japan? Im sorry, but shit like that doesn't sell. They need to change the name for the US at least.
  14. To be honest, I wouldnt pay 40 bucks for a 3DS sequel to A Link To The Past if it had 16 bit graphics and no voiceacting. Megaman 9 and 10 did that and they were less than 20 bucks. Thats how it should be. And its not so much graphics or longevity, but its the work put into it. Those games are cheaper and easier to make. And its not about 2D. 2D nowadays can be very expensive and time consuming, Blazblue and KoF prove that. If they release something the quality of those fighting games, then yes. they can have 40 dollars easily. Nostalgia is just cheap. Im over it. I want the best thats possible for my money now. 3D Dot Game Heroes also comes to mind. ive never played it, but it always seemed to me that it should have been a dlc game for 20 or 30 bucks. This is just off the top of my head. Im sure there are other things that play into it that I havent thought of yet. Movies are always the same price for big studio movies whether its a "cheap" drama with no cgi or a monster cgi multimilion dollar film like Transformers, and less for indies. Books are a separate thing. Those are all priced differently depending on the author, length and physical quality such as hardcovers and paperback. Just tons of variables. I think it comes down to the fact that I can imagine ways in which a game could be better and more worth of the pricetag. Lots of "ifs".
  15. Does anyone actually like boxsets that fold out like a fold-in in a magazine? I hate those. They should be more like a book. IM referring to the Simpsons dvds specifically.

    1. Strangelove

      Strangelove

Theres also some boxsets that hold all the dvds with tape. Twin Peaks and Freak & Geeks are like that. The spines of the dvd holders are secured with clear fucking tape. WTF?

    2. Battra92

      Battra92

Put them in fucking Thinpaks, I say! Double Thinpaks are even better!

  16. What does everyone think about the head boxsets? People seem to hate them. I have or had the Season six Homer head and I like it and it actually doesnt bother me that it doesnt go with the regular boxes, but its too big for my dvd shelf. It doesnt fit. Thats my problem. If they made them smaller, the same size as all the other boxsets, theyd be great.
  17. Why does PSN sell PSP games in their PS3 store? Can you do anything with them if you buy them there?

So you can download and store PSP games on your PS3? I didnt know that.

    3. TheMightyEthan

      TheMightyEthan

Yeah, then you transfer them to the PSP via USB cable whenever you want. I've got several on there right now from free promotions.

    4. TCP

      TCP

Generally, I download my Vita games via my PS3, and use my PS3 to transfer them over. Lots of people use their PS3s like iTunes to an iPod.

  18. By the way, I have tons of PS3 games because I used to snatch up every 5 and 10 dollar game I could remotely be interested in back when I had a job.I always bought them. Also before I got a job, I used to have a bit of a problem with Kleptomania. Im not proud of it at all, but i got tons of games those 2 years I was doing that nonstop.
  19. I never liked spreading my games around too many systems. Plus, i was always poor, So I was never the kid who had the SNES AND the Genesis. Frankly, I hated those kids. As an adult though, I try to just get a main system, then everything else is second place. And by everything else, I mean a Nintendo console or handheld. The Wii is actually the first Nintendo console ive ever bought. I try to avoid the most popular console and get the alternative. I dont mean to, but when I was a kid all my friends had a SNES and I had a Genesis. I could play all the SMW I wanted without ever owning a SNES. On top of that, I played Sonic too. So yeah. Same thing with the 2 Xboxes. Ive played tons of Halo 1 and Dead Rising. I feel like I dont miss out on much that way. And I always buy handhelds because my friends also never were too big on handhelds.
  20. Yeah, the Wii's game prices were freakin' weird. The good high quality games hardly ever dropped in price and the shit games were like 20 for a dollar. I paid 40 dollars for a used copy of Twilight Princess when i got my Wii in late 2008. Im sorry, but that's fucking crazy. Its not like it was rare or anything. Not only that, but GS had tons of used copies. But I have over 50 games for my PS3, and thats after ive sold a bunch of them. You can get stuff like Brutal Legend or Mirror's Edge for 5 bucks brand new sealed. Thats just awesome.
  21. Fat girls reeeeeally need to stop using the word "curves."

Well said Fuchi. I've always considered curves to be a middle ground. Overweight but not fat or obese. Though I'm sure Strangelove is referring to people from the latter calling THAT curvy.

    3. Strangelove

      Strangelove

I figure women with REAL curves dont ever bring it up that they have curves. If youre an actual curvy woman, no one would call you fat, so you wouldnt need to defend yourself by saying your fat are just "curves." My point is that most people can differentiate between curves and fat. People need to stop lying to themselves.

I'm not curvy I'm big boned!

  22. Ironically, I tend to only download demos of games that are sequels or made by developers I like. So by the time the demo comes out, im already well informed and anticipating it. Without the demo, I would have bought the game either way, but if the demo sucks, its potentially a lost sale. Some games have bad demos after all. But yeah. I hardly ever download a random demo ive never heard of. Mostly because PSN demos tend to be at least 300mb up to even 2GB. Im sorry, but I dont have time for that shit. I shouldn't wait an hour or 2 to play 15 minutes. Thats what I think anyways. In a way, demo discs are STILL a good idea. Id try shit on demo discs I had never heard of. I used to do it all the time when OPM had them.
  23. Target clearance seems to be back in full force. Dark Souls is about 9 bucks. Most importantly, someone found Fallout NV Ultimate Edition for 13 bucks. I NEED that. If only I wasnt lazy...I hate public transportation.

I love Target clearance. I've bought Condemned for $1.60, some Spiderman DS game for $3, Lego Clone Wars for $7 or $8 for the PC. Good crap
