Yeah, the demo was terrible. The gameplay was boring and the visuals got old for me personally. Just a bunch of squiggly desaturated worlds repeated over and over. Ive played shitty demos of good games before though, but I think ill wait this out. Maybe around the $25 price.

Upgrade systems is pretty much the reason I love 3rd person games and dislike FPS. Most FPS just dont have them. At least in single player. You just get better guns. Youre still reliant on your own skill. In 3rd person games like RE4, AC, Dead Space, and Infamous, you can get more health, more power, and more abilities that actually do something. The variety in 3rd person games are just great and a lot of fun. Those games wouldnt be the same without their upgrade systems. Theyre not all the same game besides having a similar interface or upgrade system. Which is something that cant be said of FPS. Im not trying to shit all over FPS right now, but honestly....theyre basically all the same. Thats my problem with them and i imagine most people. You have to LOVE the core gameplay, because there isnt much progress. That being said, a good single player with good locations, interesting characters and AT LEAST guns that LOOK cool, that makes a good fps for me. Mostly Bioshock and Killzone which I think do things well. Shit, Bioshock has a damn great upgrade system. Its ridiculous no one else copies it. If there are similar games, id love some recommendations.

Its not up to the movie company to know if youll like the film or not. Despite what you might think, Hollywood isnt in the business of making "bad" movies. They make movies that most people will like. They arent being deceitful because theyre not lying to you. Its up to you to read reviews, watch trailers, and talk to friends who have already seen the movie. even then its no guarantee youll like it. Companies arent mind readers. Its a risk for them and for you.

"Testing" everything in life before you buy it isn't a right. That's a sad mentality to have. You can't bite an apple at the store and decide not to take it. There are either samples out there or there aren't. If theyre not, youre going to have to risk it and buy the apple or you know......you dont get the apple. Simple as that. And I know, digital stuff doesn't deprive anyone of anything because it is infinite, but what kind of ego do you have to think youre entitled to these 100 million dollar projects for free while others pay for them? Do you think theyre all idiots for paying like theyre supposed to? For giving money to the people whoa re offering them a service they want? I just dont get how you can perfectly justify it.

Arent the big games ALWAYS 50 or 60 dollars on pc too? CoD, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Witcher, etc. Theyre always in that same price range. I dont see the difference. I paid 3.45 for Braid on PSN. Before that, it was 15 dollars. Things on consoles are also priced appropriately. Not to mention the 40 or 50 dollar games that come out, like the HD ports and shitty obscure Japanese games no one buys. There are games in that price range. Arcana Hearts 3 was 30 bucks too on PSN.

Oh God, the tie-in covers are awful. Id rather pay a few bucks extra to get the original cover or even the old hardback version.

Books themselves have "buzz." They dont need films or tv shows to be successful. Despite what people think, Harry Potter and Twilight were popular books before they were popular movies. A lot of people, especially in the US just dont put books on the same caliber as movies, music, tv, and videogames. Its some sad shit. Also, books really arent that expensive, be it Borders, B&N, or Target and Walmart. Its just that Amazon can lower the prices on....pretty much everything....since they dont have a store so they dont pay rent, employees, bills, or anything of the sort. Specialty stores are on their way out because of Amazon. All bookstores will be gone, all videogame stores, cd stores, rental stores, electronic stores, music stores, etc. We'll only have grocery stores, restaurants, clothing stores, and Walmart. I hope people arent too attached to browsing or leaving their house.

FInally got my keyboard stand! I got it for 14.99 at Toys R US. It was 40% off because theyre "moving" the store to a better place. AKA more whiteys everywhere and less minorities.

They really werent "less" fixed back then. SNES games retailed for 79.99. All of them. Even the shitty ones like Clayfighter and DKC. And honestly, people want to mess around with the 60 dollar system, then theyre the ones who are going to get fucked in the ass when publishers realize dumbasses will gladly pay 80 dollars for CoD, which will just push other publishers to charge the same by either spending more money on production, tacking on useless features, or elongating the game with menial shit. Half of that stuff is already the trend. Now theyll charge more for it. I think companies already do a pretty good job on pricing their games. Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 is priced at 40, as was SSF4. Those are great prices for an upgraded rerelease. In the SNES days you would have paid 80 for those. GOTY versions of western games retail for 60 a year afterwards with all the dlc on it. It works out great. You save tons of money if you wait. This is an industry where no one denies you anything if you lack the funds, as long as you have patience. Aksys puts out shitty PS2 games for 50 bucks for the PS3. Beyond Good And Evil HD was 10 bucks, and the GoW Collection was 40 for 2 games. Its been nothing but fair. Yeah, weve all been slighted by games we bought, didnt like and wish we hadnt spent 60 dollars on it, but do people really suck so much at buying games that you want to totally get rid of the entire system? Just wait a month and get 15-20 bucks off if youre unsure of a game. Problem solved.

It's a bit of a grindathon but that doesn't stop people from loving dungeon crawlers like Diablo. It's a bit like that. Also, if it's such a grindathon then what is Fallout 3? An explorathon? I just found myself lacking direction in Fallout 3. It is grindy. Most games are. Fallout 3 disguises it well with dialogue, branching missions, and a huge scope. Its easier to swallow that way. I NEED that, otherwise I feel no joy in doing the same repetitive task over and over. Especially when Im not a big FPS fan. I played Fallout 3 in third person just to deal with that.

The GOTY is available at Target on clearance for 15 bucks. They had a few copies. Maybe I should pick one up. I had bought it from gamestop a few months back for 20, but returned it after a few hours. Not because it was crap, but because I needed the money. The game seemed legit, but there really wasnt much to it. Reminded me of grinding in an rpg. Thats the vibe I got from the overall game. Just FPS grindathon. No story, no characters, no nothing. I did like the graphics and the overall art style. if it was 3rd person, Id be all over dat shit. But I just played it for about 3 hours and maybe the game has a lot more to offer.

I was so bored with the first one. It sure wasnt a single player game. Unless you like repetition without it being masked by dialogue, likeable characters, or any sense of a soul.

Is this thing ten bucks yet? I havent gotten around to playing it yet.

Smokin' Aces is awful. Only redeeming quality is Alicia Keys looking all sexy n shit.
