  1. https://www.buzzfeed.com/rachmucha/9-reasons-why-lost-is-the-best-tv-show-ever-19pie?utm_term=.tsZq9jPjx#.srKVRdGd3 I see no reason to disagree with this article.
  2. Take my money! (This will be the second copy of this film I own on Steelbook. Fuck You Hollywood)
  3. Is the Steam controller worth it? Thinking of grabbing the CIV V1 + Controller bundle.

I've just been using the DS4 and that's working fine. By sounds of it first run of Steam Controllers are a bit clunky.

I'll give it a miss then. Was eyeing it up for my 3 week surgery recovery, but CIV VI isn't out until after anyways.

I've been using the Steam controller for over 6 months now and I really love it but IIRC Valve have said they're planning to iterate and release a revision in the future. So, at this point you might as well wait for that.

  4. I wonder if he's falling into something of an artistic rut. Even Iron Man 3 had a very Kiss Kiss Bang Bang feel to it, granted both starred RDJ, but it certainly had similarities, which might be why IM3 left some people cold. It's less an Iron Man film and more a 'Tony Stark dealing with shit' film. It's not his best work, but I think it's solid enough to warrant a re-watch at some point.
  5. I didn't get far enough in to find out.
  6. I might be misreading your comment here but The Nice Guys is very much directed by Shane Black, the same guy who directed Kiss Kiss. As for the film itself, I enjoyed it. It's no Kiss Kiss but in a summer of bloated comic book movies, it hit the spot. Don't think it did too well though which is a real shame. I'd love to see more from these three.
  7. Listening to the slashfilm podcast about Suicide Squad last night, and whilst I don't think it lets the film off the hook (a bad film is a bad film), THIS probably didn't help matters. It sounds like Warner has a serious problem with trusting the people they hire to deliver on set. Get the fuck out of the way and let the film maker make their film.
  8. I grabbed Kholat a while ago as I really like the story that it's based on (Dyatlov Pass Incident) but after about an hour I turned it off. It looks like ass, it plays like ass and it didn't scare me once.
  9. Dishonored 2, Civ VI and the new Destiny expansion Rise of Iron are all I'm really looking forward too. Not much, but thankfully I can usually be sustained by a solid trickle of good quality indie titles. Fingers crossed Overland gets a release at some point this year too.
  10. Isn't Jai Courtney Australian? Also I thought Will Smith was pretty great. I agree with the rest though.
  11. Suicide Squad. It's not good, but I don't think its bad enough to be placed in the 'Crap' thread.
  12. IIRC the Giantbomb crew (Vinny and Austin) loved the game but wished there was less emphasis on typical video-gamey aspects like bad guys and what not. Also, I might be wrong but I'm sure I heard something about a mod (PC Only) that removes all enemies from the game. Might be of interest? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=560988617
  13. So..does anyone actually think Lucioball is any fun?

Like most Weekly Brawls, they're fun for the first day. After that, it's just Quick Play.

  14. I like to think that it gives the show room to breath. You get to know the characters and the show gets a chance to really set itself up, both plot wise and with its locations.
  15. So is anyone into Fargo? It might be the best show on TV that no one bothers to watch.
  16. Accidentally not-cancelled would be a more accurate statement.
  17. I'm not sure the internet is going to survive a 30 days stretch whereby We Happy Few comes out and disappoints, and No Mans Sky turns out to be the game we all feared expected it to be. So has NMS turned the corner. Are we as a collective now expecting it to be a total let down. Does that mean if it's incredible it'll come as a surprise?
  18. Uncharted 4 I feel like Uncharted 4 isn't aimed at me. Hell, I feel like the entire Uncharted franchise is aimed at people that aren't me. That being said it's another good one of those games. An thrilling, enjoyable storyline that i'll likely forget about in a few weeks, the same core group of characters that I genuinely do love and the same tediously tiresome game play. Uncharted 4. Truth be told, it's a really really good game. Naughty Dog have perfected their formulae, I just wish Uncharted 4 wasn't being held up as 'The Best Gaming Has To Offer' because if that's the truth, it's a sorry state of affairs.
  19. Batman looks like he missed leg day without that cape. I got my accidentally ordered BvS Ultimate Edition Steelbook yesterday, and it's a beauty.
  20. So are they expecting people to carry this tablet thing around with them like people do with phones? Because I can't see that happening at all. People don't carry tablets with them, and if they do they're using it as a laptop replacement. I fear for Nintendo here. They seem hellbent on taking the compan down a path that regular old consumers aren't interested in.

  22. I'll get us started. Firewatch I don't love the game, but I think it's worth a shout out here. Rise of the Tomb Raider (it counts) Yeah. This is good too. Superhot Fucking love this game. Everything from its visual style to its incredibly tight controls and the way it lets you share your highlights online. Probably going to end up in my top 5 of the year come December. Overwatch I don't play online FPS. I play Overwatch, a lot. Ratchet and Clank Apparently they can still make a good version of these games. Who knew?
  23. There's no way this game is going to live up to the hype that's built around it is there?
  24. I want to play Pokemon Go, but I find it's so limiting if you don't live in a major urban area, or commute to one for work. My moderately sized suburban village just isn't getting it done on either the Gym or Pokestop scale, and the Pokemon in my area aren't worth me going out to collect. So any tips for a Pokemon trainer who's somewhat down on the game?
