  1. I enjoyed Fez for about 3 hours, but I just lost interest after that. If you're willing to dedicate hours (HOURS) of your life to unlocking its clues, it might be worth it; I wasn't, and I didn't find the games basic mechanics enjoyable enough to deal with the frustration of some of the puzzles.
  2. Where the hell is the manager and why isn't he telling a second assistant to work on the till?
  3. I'll be buying this tomorrow morning. I've heard mechanically it's a little basic, how are you finding it (i assume you deeper into the game?), does it get any more challenging? I can't wait to play it.
  4. It's solid. I may have done it a disservice by saying the puzzles get tiring. They're not difficult, just a little boring. It's definitely worth a play-through though.
  5. Don't laugh. Hollyoaks was the first time I saw this on screen, and that was about 6 years ago. Credit where it's due, they got in ahead of the curve on that one. It's not as interestingly done as Sherlock or HoC, but they ran with the idea. I've also seen them do it with twitter, albeit with slightly less frequency.
  6. I've not watched any of these videos. I understand being excited for it, but I'd rather just enjoy it whilst playing the game. Same goes for trailers, I've almost stopped watching film and game trailers at this point.
  7. Valiant Hearts. The puzzles get a little tiresome after a while, but the art style and story carry it through. Oh god the story. I cried. No shame in it, the last 5 minutes ruined me on multiple levels.
  8. Wasn't she included so they had a bankable star to go on the poster? Take Portman away and who have you got that mainstream audiences can attach too? 17 year olds aren't going to be interested in a film that's helmed by Renee Russo, Anthony Hopkins and Stellan Skarsgård.
  9. If you're looking for a decent wallpaper archive app on your phone, take a look at Wally. Most of the wallpapers I've used are of a really high quality, and they seem to be okay resolution wise. There's a pretty nice catalogue too. Oh, also its free.
  10. YEAH ZOMBIU!!! My 2012 Game of the Year. I kid you not. I love that game.
  11. In the defence of Harry Potter, that last book is pretty large, and whilst I think DHP1 suffers a little, there's simply no way they'd have been able to get the important parts of P1 into P2 without either having a 4 hour movie, or really ruining some of the character stuff. In this case, I think they did it right. Can't speak to The Hobbit as I've not seen the film, although my understanding is that they're filling in with bits from other Tolkien books? I honestly think they could have told a good story with two parts. The third just seems unnecessary.
  12. It'll go down as one of my favourites of the year (2014 UK release). I'm not a massive Coen brothers fan, but I adore this movie. Soundtrack is pretty nice too. That Mr Kennedy song is now burnt into my soul, I love it.
  13. Alan Tudyk. He comes along in the s1 finale and blows the doors off the show. And could the reason you didn't care about any of the characters be that they're essentially different people at the start of each new episode?
  14. I don't recall getting past the first few episodes of season 2, which is a shame as I enjoyed what I saw, especially from Alan Tudyk, who I have to assume was the shows big-bad?
  15. This seems to have skipped by without anyone having noticed. It's a fun (frustratingly difficult) first person platform/puzzle/shooter thing. You have to navigate each platforming section whilst shooting enemies, avoiding taking any hits all whilst trying to avoid falling to your death. Also, there's these bomb things that randomly fall to the ground, you're gonna wanna hit them before they drop to the floor. £3.80 on Steam, I imagine it might get some traction as a gift-able game during the next Steam sale.
  16. I was going to watch Youtube on my PS4 the other morning, only to realise there isn't an app. How the hell does that happen in this day an age? My mums fucking DVD player has Youtube (probably..).
  17. I bet Ethan can't wait to get a second playthrough of Tearaway on his PS4.

It was charming. Too bad it wasn't fun.

I'm just as sick of third person shooting as everybody else.

I'm only messing Ethan, I can understand why it didn't connect with you.

It's just so damn fun to bring it up whenever Tearaway is mentioned.

No, I know, it's Cowboy who's the jerk head. <3

  18. Just finished the game for the first time. Really dug it, and the story didn't take the twist I was expecting towards the end, which is always a pleasant surprise. The only niggle with the game was the shooting mechanic, and even that was a very minor nit-pick.
  19. Enslaved fits into the same sort of category as something like Binary Domain for me; It was fun, and I enjoyed my time with it. I don't know that it's underrated as much as it was just completely ignored upon release.
  20. I saw it on sale for like £11 on PC if that helps? I enjoyed my brief time with it (Game Time), but not enough to throw down £40.
  21. Just got my game in the post. Is anyone else experiencing a huge amount of noise from the disc tray? It's not whiring of fizzing, just seems to be vibrating a lot. PS4 is dead flat too..
  22. **Note to self** Stop buying Indie titles on PSN.
  23. They're doing the UK-gets-release-4-days-later thing again huh? Wonderful.
  24. Any idea what sort of range the PS4 Gold is capable of handling? Like I say, most of the time i'll be a few feet away from the source of the music, but if I go to the toilet, (next room) i'd like to keep listening.
  25. I'd venture to say that the guy's working at those stores hate it as much as you do.
