  1. CM hasn't exactly come out of this last year looking great. They've mad amateur looking moves at every turn, their CEO looks like a complete asshole and they've pissed off half their userbase. I for one can't wait to see what One Plus does with the second phone, and more specifically OxygenOS.
  2. It'll take me a week to find the right images for this, so I'll present to you a handle list of my recent purchases. Ahem. Not sure if my wallet or my download speed took a bigger hit. Goodbye Netflix for a few weeks I guess. Hitman Sniper (iOS) - Not a good game A Story About My Uncle Tropico Hatoful Boyfriend Among The Sleep Game of Thrones: A Telltale Series Humble Borderlands Bundle Massive Chalice Sensible World of Soccer 96/97 Outlast Tropico 2 Her Story The Marvellous Miss Take The Witcher 3 I think that's everything. Currently playing Witcher 3; probably at about 45 hours at this point. I've bolded those I'm most excited about.
  3. Two this week. Firstly Calvary. Brendan Gleeson knocks it out of the park once again. A fantastically dark tale about an Irish priest who is told he'll be murdered by one of his parishioners on the coming Sunday. Second viewing for me, and I think all the better for it. Secondly, Kingsmen. Words cannot describe my love for this movie.
  4. Ever looked at the G4? LG has been making some real nice phones in recent years, and the G4 seems to be improving on the already very well received G3. If you can hold out, One+ are announcing their new handset in about a month; that might be worth your attention. I've been using their original phone for almost 10 months now, and I think its fantastic.
  5. The do a fantastic job of making the game world feel real. Spilled coffee cups, flickering monitors and the like. As for the way the map is laid out, I grew tired of going from one corner of it, only to be told I had to then go all the way back across.
  6. I'll take a look. Can't imagine it'll be long before they throw the season pass on for 75% off or something, especially with the new season around the corner.
  7. Kinda tempted to have a look at this. How different is it to to Wolf/TWD? I'm growing somewhat tired of the Telltale format, although I'm in love with Thrones. I assume it's set in the world of the show and not the book?
  8. Just finished it myself. Without giving too much away I enjoyed it. I'm not massively in love with some of the more adventure-y stuff they make you do, but the story is pretty engrossing, and as ever, it looks fantastic.
  9. I like to spend my Wednesday evenings working out what to play before giving up and wasting 2 hours losing on NHL15.

You were losing the second you bought that pile of a game.

You aren't wrong. I just needed a fix though; shame its such a fucked up turd of a game.

  10. That sounds absolutely terrible. Why wouldn't they just make it a behind the scenes documentary? I'd be much more interested in that.
  11. Anyone grabbing Cities: Skylines today?

I'm on the fence. I've wanted to try getting into the city-builder genre for a while and after SimCity 2013 turning out the way it did, I'm glad there's finally a viable alternative. But I don't exactly need an extra game on my plate atm.

With how things look right now, this game is reminding me of how Banished turned out. It'll have a good lifespan with plenty of mods for stuff that the devs themselves can't do.

      Mod support is fun!!

  12. The Order: 1886 Borrowed it off of my brother who said 'Yeah, it's okay I guess', so I was hardly expecting greatness here. The game play itself is a little..tedious. I'm currently working my way through a perticularly frustrating stealth section with an all-or-nothing QTE mechanic which is utterly baffling to me. The gun-play is boring, and the weapons forgetful. Story is interesting, although it could use some padding out, and the game looks and sounds incredible; probably the best looking game I've ever played. Sometimes I'll put my controller down and spend 5 seconds working out if I'm watching a cut-scene or if I need to continue playing; it's that good. So yeah...it's okay.

Never really had the need for a car truthfally, I've always had someone to ferry me about; until me and the ex split up.

i've been driving a scooter since November, and this has taught me two things. 1, driving is handy and 2, being cold and wet whilst doing it sucks!

I'll be going down the automatic route (nah, not big on gears). Hopefully I'll be driving inside the next year.

Are you planning on doing the automatic test? I would definitely do the manual test, even if you plan to drive automatic, so you're not limited in the future if you need to borrow a car in an emergency/rent etc. you'll find yourself very limited.

I don't know how it works over there, but over here (i assume), if you learn in an auto, you take your test in an auto. Gear'd would be great, but after taking a few lessons in one before, I know it'll only make the thing more difficult for me, so I'd rather learn in an automatic, then if at a later date I decide I'd like to learn stick, I've got the option to jump in again whilst being a capable driver.

In essence, if I can get the act of driving out of th...

  14. Not unlike the Vita triggers themselves to be fair. Far to squishy for my liking, they feel like I'm pressing a sponge.
  15. FURY Very very impressive WWII film. Gritty, dirty, and brutally honest at times. Great performances by the lead actors (Even Shia). Some fantastic production design (surround sound would have been a treat here) and gripping from start to finish. Now I'm going to go and watch HBO's other sensational war drama; Generation Kill.
  16. Just finished Episode 1. I enjoyed it, although it feels incredibly short for what it is. Hopefully Epi 2 gives us a little more.
  17. ^Why I dislike most of Tarantino's output.^ Yeah, Reservoir Dogs and Django are my favourite of his, because they're the least... That Until That bit kinda ruined the vibe for the most part, but I still love Django. I definitely prefer it to KB Vol 2, but I think KB Vol 1 is a masterpiece of style which beats Django on those stakes but doesn't have a story anywhere near as good. This has me very, very interested. I sure hope it's still in cinemas. The Raid is so great Going to see Kingsmen tonight, and I cannot wait. The film looks like a good time, although it's taken forever to come out (I saw the first trailer in theatres like 18 months ago). As for Django, I rewatched that recently, and I think it might be my favourite Tarintino; great story, enjoyable performances by all and not too overly long like KB or Inglorious.
  18. Totally agree with this. One was the better film; less...in love with itself, but I'd probably say that had Vol 2 been 20 minutes shorter, It'd probably have piped it.
  19. I've defeated the first boss (giant eye thing), and I think I'm maybe level 17 (maybe). I've taken the occasional trip into the forest, but usually only after I've exhausted the Castle itself. Am I supposed to be hitting those areas in a certain order or are are the roughly the same difficulty? I don't think I've seen any of those Miner or Spelunker classes as of yet. I'll keep my eyes peeled though. Thanks for the tips.
  20. The game itself seems pretty good, I'm just struggling to get past the way the game punishes you for a mistake. I'm not sure that's a time thing more than it is a basic game compatibility thing; maybe It's a problem on my end. I'll take another look at it when I've got some downtime, I really want to love this game.
  21. Kill Bill - Finally. Only finished Volume 1 so far (I've heard mixed views on V2?), and whilst It wasn't my favourite Tarantino, It oozes style and has some truly memorable fight scenes.
  22. I dunno guys, the game just didn't hit for me. I found myself getting more and more frustrating as the game went on, up to the point where I spent 20-30 minutes avoiding AI encounters, spent 2 minutes running through a fiery inferno, another 30 seconds climbing a giant column, only to find myself miss-timing a button press; falling to my death and being thrown all the way back to the front of where I had loaded the game up. For the love of all that's right in this world, why didn't they include a checkpoint system. I don't mind the save stuff, but If I have to sit through a minute long loading sequence, I think the game should give you a soft save point or a checkpoint. All tension is removed when you have to go back and avoid the AI for the 4-5th time. It goes from tense and scary, to frustrating and annoying. I might give it another look; but at this point I wonder if I'm not forcing myself to play it for the promise of a game that isn't there.
  23. Rogue Legacy Grabbed the game via PS+ for my somewhat dusty Vita, and I'm having a blast with it. The hand held is perfect for this sort of game (also why I'm holding off on picking up Shovel Knight until its PSV release), I can pick it up, do a few quick runs and put it down again without thinking about it or having to turn the PC on. I'm still struggling a little to get past this monotery wall that I've hit. My runs aren't productive enough for me to buy upgrades, and giving all that money back to the Reaper means I have to hope to get lucky once or twice. Should I be focusing on upgrading my stats or buying new equipment? I've been throwing most of my cash into Health and armour so far; figure the longer I can survive the more productive I'll be?
