Has anyone read The Martian? Fantastic little novel about an Astronaut who gets stranded on Mars. Gripping from start to finish with some tremendous writing. I laughed, I cried and I couldn't put it down. Currently reading (or I'm about to start), Dark Eden. No idea what to expect going in, except that it's got an interesting take on spelling..

Needed something to read, and this was 99p on Kindle.

Regular disc-based edition for me too.

This person is actually very high on Metro. If you can get over the (first games mainly) hang-ups, they're fantastically atmospheric FPS.

Tbh, I'm not even sure I'd qualify it as a stealth game. I don't believe I ever got through a stage without murdering everyone. It's not that sort of game. You want to avoid being seen for the purpose of murdering the bad guys in a more efficient manner; not to avoid them altogether.

Finished my 1st play-through. I spent 2 hours trying to get my Defcon level's down, before deciding to fuck it all and go ahead with the final mission. It's easier that way, just play smart and you'll be fine. Probably going to attempt a second go around, as I want some more of those sexy weapons.

Take a look at One Hour Photo. Arguably my favourite Williams performance, he's incredibly creepy. The only downside? The film has a skewed idea of just how well maintained supermarket shelving is. I work in a supermarket, it never looks that good.

I've been putting off picking this up for ages. I had the demo on the 3DS and liked what I saw, I'm just a little stunned it never made its way to Vita. I mean, that's *the* system I want to play this game on.

I've worked in stores my entire life, so I usually try to side with the grunts working the shop floor. They're not complete idiots, more often than not it's a 'Management thing'. As for the offer, I can't speak to that, maybe they simply weren't informed.

I think I saw like 8-9 different versions of that list online. Australia, UK, Japan, China, France, Germany etc etc. It's a shame they didn't package it in, but I doubt many will notice that it's missing, if they noticed the list at all.

I believe I'm coming up on the end of play-through 1, and I'm enjoying myself. Like Connorrrr say's it's got some really short missions going for it, I can play a few before bed and then forget about it. It looks great, and I kind of love the noise the gun makes when it's reloading. The shooting mechanics can be a bit hit and miss, especially in cover-mode, and that's caused me some frustration, but all-in-all I'm really enjoying it.

I enjoyed Fez for about 3 hours, but I just lost interest after that. If you're willing to dedicate hours (HOURS) of your life to unlocking its clues, it might be worth it; I wasn't, and I didn't find the games basic mechanics enjoyable enough to deal with the frustration of some of the puzzles.

Where the hell is the manager and why isn't he telling a second assistant to work on the till?
-
I'll be buying this tomorrow morning. I've heard mechanically it's a little basic, how are you finding it (i assume you deeper into the game?), does it get any more challenging? I can't wait to play it.

It's solid. I may have done it a disservice by saying the puzzles get tiring. They're not difficult, just a little boring. It's definitely worth a play-through though.

Don't laugh. Hollyoaks was the first time I saw this on screen, and that was about 6 years ago. Credit where it's due, they got in ahead of the curve on that one. It's not as interestingly done as Sherlock or HoC, but they ran with the idea. I've also seen them do it with twitter, albeit with slightly less frequency.

I've not watched any of these videos. I understand being excited for it, but I'd rather just enjoy it whilst playing the game. Same goes for trailers, I've almost stopped watching film and game trailers at this point.

Valiant Hearts. The puzzles get a little tiresome after a while, but the art style and story carry it through. Oh god the story. I cried. No shame in it, the last 5 minutes ruined me on multiple levels.

Wasn't she included so they had a bankable star to go on the poster? Take Portman away and who have you got that mainstream audiences can attach too? 17 year olds aren't going to be interested in a film that's helmed by Renee Russo, Anthony Hopkins and Stellan SkarsgÄrd.

If you're looking for a decent wallpaper archive app on your phone, take a look at Wally. Most of the wallpapers I've used are of a really high quality, and they seem to be okay resolution wise. There's a pretty nice catalogue too. Oh, also its free.

YEAH ZOMBIU!!! My 2012 Game of the Year. I kid you not. I love that game.

In the defence of Harry Potter, that last book is pretty large, and whilst I think DHP1 suffers a little, there's simply no way they'd have been able to get the important parts of P1 into P2 without either having a 4 hour movie, or really ruining some of the character stuff. In this case, I think they did it right. Can't speak to The Hobbit as I've not seen the film, although my understanding is that they're filling in with bits from other Tolkien books? I honestly think they could have told a good story with two parts. The third just seems unnecessary.

It'll go down as one of my favourites of the year (2014 UK release). I'm not a massive Coen brothers fan, but I adore this movie. Soundtrack is pretty nice too. That Mr Kennedy song is now burnt into my soul, I love it.

Alan Tudyk. He comes along in the s1 finale and blows the doors off the show. And could the reason you didn't care about any of the characters be that they're essentially different people at the start of each new episode?
