  1. As far as I know I'm free all evening. Like I said, I'm staying a friends house and I'll be on my own; the only question mark is their internet connection. It should be all right, but who knows.
  2. Three games on the go at the same time? That's my idea of hell. Any more than 2 at a time and I start to lose the thread; get bored and end up not finishing either. I just finished The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. I'm probably a tiny bit disappointed, but that's only because I'd heard some truly wonderful things about it. I had a good time with the game; but I'm not sure It's my game of the year or anything. I'll definitely keep an eye out for The Astronauts next game though.
  3. I'll clear my schedule then? Tuesday at 9GMT?
  4. Edge of Tomorrow Emily Blunt. Tom Cruise. Time...travel?. Awesome war suits. Aliens. Pretty CGI. Maggot. This was a really really good film; which comes as a surprise as fucking nobody saw it. Go watch it. It's really good.
  5. *Googles Birdman UK release date...* JANUARY 2nd!!!! This is why people pirate films ffs.
  6. My Neighbors the Yamadas. I actually really enjoyed this for the first hour or so. I wasn't sure what to expect going in, but it surprised me both with its art style and it's method of storytelling; it's just a little too long to earn itself a 3/5 (I consider that above average/good).
  7. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Still a little unsure to be honest. I've put maybe 2 hours into the game; I'm having fun, but at the same time I wish the game was a tiny bit more helpful with regards to clues and the like. I spent 20 minutes looking for a rock previously, and that was just frustrating. That being said, the story has me hooked; and it looks and sounds incredible.
  8. Guys, I've had the sudden; uncontrollable urge to re-do the Lord of the Rings. Somebody talk me out of it. I know its madness.....but.
  9. That works out fairly well for me too. I'm looking after a friends house so I'll have all night to play if needs be.
  10. Gone Girl. My only complaint is that the opening 30 or so minutes drags a little. That aside, It's a highly enjoyable thriller with good performances from the two leads, and some great performances from the rest of the gang. I thought Kim Dickins was fantastic as the lead investigator. Hopefully this'll get her some attention as she's universally fantastic in everything she's been in. Dat soundtrack also.
  11. I've heard complaints that the game's AI (especially the Xenomorph) can be hit and miss, and that it get's a little stale after a few hours. If that's the case, I'll wait for a sale (same with Mordor). Seems like CA have put together a pretty solid first attempt though.
  12. I'd be up for VoG; but timing is a difficult one for me. I work nights (UK), and across the weekend (Thursday-Sunday's) so the best time for my (GMT) is Monday-Wednesday's at around 9pm. That'd be early afternoon for those of you on the West coast right? I could get myself up after midnight; but I'd need to know we'd be guarenteed a game if I'm going to spend one of my few nights off playing video games.
  13. Look at all of those Disney games nobody wants to play on PC.

Lego Marvel. Though that wasn't actually produced by Disney.

I kinda want to play the epic mickey series.

  14. Much prefer the aesthetic of Monument Valley, but in terms of game play I'd take The Room every time. Both are fantastic on a touch device though; shining examples of how to do games on that device well. And not an IAP in sight (maybe?)
  15. A Perfect Host. Fraser's brother knocks it out of the park here; he's magnificent. The film just goes on a little too long and has this ham fisted final 20 minutes that flat out wasn't needed.
  16. There are no words to describe how much I love Scott Pilgrim vs The World. I've seen it 4 times now, and I can safely say that it's my favourite movie of all time. Even Michael Cera is enjoyable.
  17. I've had the last 10 nights off from work, and you decide to do this on my 2nd night back. Whyyyyy Ethan, Whyyy! I'm free most of the day until Thursday at 4:00GMT, and then at any point Monday - Thursday next week. Can't do Tuesday afternoon or evening.
  18. Cancelling Netflix. Curse you bad internet!!

Because apparently it didn't come across: I was being facetious with that statement.

It's watchable, but I've watched upwards of 400 films in the last 18 months, 300+ via streaming; image quality is important to me.

  19. NHL15 and Destiny. NHL15 is thoroughly underwhelming, although I guess that depends on just how much you knew going in. I spend most of my time playing ranked matches online, and you can almost feel the game deciding who's going to win at any given moment. It's sluggish, the basic act of moving players around feels heavy; and lets not get started on the god-awful goaltending. I knew the game was lacking in value, but once again I find myself complaining about the awful PvP stuff. Fool me once EA...
  20. I've hit something of a wall in regards to levelling up my Legendary armour. Ascended Shards.. Currently I need like 20 of them. I'd rather not make a second character (fuck that I wanna play as my guy). I know about the daily challenges, but surely there's a more efficient way of getting that stuff.
  21. You know, I've not actually bought any armour or weaponry yet. It's all low level stuff so far, but I'm inching my way towards levelling up as a FWC member (same with the Queen stuff), I guess I'll buy some of that?
  22. You're a better gamer than I. I got maybe 4 challenges into that game before deciding it wasn't for me and running off with my tail between my legs.
  23. And this is why I'm terrified of playing with people who I don't see on a weekly basis.
