  1. One of the few reasons why my Vita is still my Vita. Shame its been pushed back, but it'll give me a chance to play through some other games first. Maybe a Christmas present if i'm a good boy.
  2. **Sorry for the tripple post** Just caught UP for the third time. Once again, its incredible. The animation is as fantastic as ever and the characters ooze charm. It goes a little wayward towards the end (but i guess it had to at some point), but its still arguably one of the best films of the last decade. And thats before it turned me into a blubbering mess with one of the finest opening 25 minutes any film has ever had. A masterclass in keeping your audience emotionally involved from the very beginning, and a lesson in how to tell a story without the need for a voiceover.
  3. You should be able to send SMS's USING the Nexus 7, but it won't send them directly. I've been using an app called Mighty Text that allows me to send texts from my browser/tablet provided they're on the same WiFi network as my phone. It works for the most part.
  4. I've still not finished Season 4. I've seen the entire run of AD about 5 times, but i've hit a wall with Season 4. I enjoyed the first episode, but since then its totally missed the mark with me. They seem more interested in making the story come together than they do being funny. And clearly not being able to get the cast in the same room is a problem. If you enjoyed it, great; but i'm not sure if i even want this 5th season.
  5. So apparently Pikmin 3 is out tomorrow. Well done Nintendo.

Nintendo for some time now has had a stiffy for releasing shit in Europe before North America. Bravely Default comes out late 2013 in europe and early 2014 in USA.

Yah. Nintendo of Europe is a little quicker and a little more niche friendly than NoA these days. Inazuma 11, Last Window, Fatal Frame, Operation Rainfall games, etc. That's the new Nintendo norm.

  6. I may be wrong on this one, but doesn't Dragon Age 2 allow you to get two of your party members together at some point? *I'm basing that on a conversation i heard on Weekend Confirmed a few days ago.
  7. District 13. I'm not sure where i landed on this. It starts off very well indeed, but it gets a little stodgy in the middle. The female lead is basically totally redundant and the bad guy is a bit weak; but the action is fantastically shot and performed. 3/5
  8. On the contrary; i kind of hope they delve into those aspects a little more. I still want Jaeger's vs Kaiju, but maybe giving us some interesting characters could be a good idea. The drifting thing was massively underdeveloped in the first movie. Apparently they threw away 100 minutes of extra stuff (i'm not sure if it was shot or not), but hopefully we'll see an extended version at some point.
  9. I've rediscovered Gunslinger. Fantastic game. BANG BANG!

are we singing rammstein? BANG BANG!

  10. That scene would have been three trillion times better if they'd revealed his name to be Dick Grayson. As is it's just awful. I don't think that would have hit home with the mainstream audience as well though. Sure, nerds would have loved it but the average film goer would have been left pretty confused. OMG ROBIN WHO KNEW! Fucking mainstream audiences suck.
  11. A women as talented as that, shouldn't be dying like that. Although it did give us this. http://peopledyinglikemarioncotillard.tumblr.com/
  12. Say what you will about Levitt (who i think is a perfectly watchable actor); Cotillard is far from talentless. They were given very limited roles in TDKR and its probably not fair to judge them on those roles alone. Cotillard for example has an Oscar under her belt, and blew people away in Rust and Bone which was out mere weeks after TDKR arrived last summer. *i'm a bit of a Cotillard fan, but regardless, to say they're not very talented is downright wrong in my opinion.
  13. Honestly, i could get by on my bike and paying for the petrol in my GF's car; but i know that it'll be worth it in 4-5 years when my insurance has dropped down a little and im more comfortable behind the wheel. The earlier storms have subsided. Its been pushing 30degree's again. I fucking hate this weather.
  14. Unfortunately my fiancee (we live together) just bought a brand new car. There's no way i'll be sitting in the drivers seat on that thing. As for the driving itself, i think its going okay. I've driven on some pretty busy roads. I need to remember to turn the wheel a little more on corners. I'm still struggling to work out where the wheels are in correlation to where i need them to be to turn.
  15. We had a fairly impressive thunder storm last night too (Leicestershire). Lightning, Rain, Thunder; kept me awake for an hour or so. Its supposed to be continuing throughout the day; which is a crapshoot as i've got a driving lesson in 3 hours.
  16. I don't mean to boast (......) but i can walk to his recently found burial site in about an hour. Go me!
  17. (does that link work?) Bioshock and Rogue were picked up outside of Steam, but i figure as they were offered for roughly the same price during the SSS i'd include them in this list. All in all i'm pretty pleased with that. The top two games are probably, in hindsight a mistake but whatever; its only £5.
  18. I've got Reus and Alpha Protocol in my Steam basket. Do i make the purchase?

Hot Heart sucks dicks and doesn't know what he's talking about. Though he actually is since the boss fights are horribly designed and force you to use guns

    3. Hot Heart

      Hot Heart

Pistol gives you that lock-on three-shot thing, which completely annihilates bosses.

    4. Mr. GOH!

      Mr. GOH!

      Reus is fun, too.

  19. The Worlds End. Got out an hour ago. Its a fairly entertaining affair that doesn't quite hit the heights of Fuzz or Shaun. I think the plot was lacking a little to be honest, and it didn't have the same clever writing that Shaun of the Dead had, but then; maybe this film wasn't meant for me? Its fine though, seriously. 3/5
  20. TDKR left me cold. I adore the first two in the Nolan films, but TDKR is a hot mess of poor storytelling and plot holes. Also Batman appears to turn into some sort of super soldier who for whatever reason isn't taken down immediately by a well placed sniper shot from someone on top of a building. Thats not to say i didn't enjoy it; but its a long way behind Begins and Dark Knight for me. Even Marion Cottilard coulnd't make it better for me.
  21. **Totally saw the spoiler after i quoted the above post - Fuck** I'm in two minds about wether to see this or not. On the one hand, i've been looking forward to it a lot. On the other hand though, i wanna go see Pacific Rim again and by the looks of it, The Worlds End will be hanging around in theatres for longer.
  22. How are they going to incorporate Batman into this film without making him look totally b-list compared to Superman? Sup's gonna be off knocking down skyscrapers (because Zack Snyder) whilst Batman's what? Punching a few grunts?
  23. I assume this isn't a spoiler. 'Sherlock' Actor and Co-Creator Mark Gatiss has been cast in a yet unnamed role for Season 4 of the show. Any idea's as to who he'll play? The internet is telling me it'll probably be Randyl Tarly or Mace Tyrell.
  24. I give you Benedict Cumberbatch as Julian Assange.
