  1. Just back from Thor. It was pretty funny but got a bit...less good towards the end. I'm sure some of the twists don't hold up if you actually think about it but it was still entertaining enough. Natalie Portman and Jaimie Alexander were v nice too.
  2. Guess I can stop thinking my 'ska' band is going to take off now... =(

I have to agree with that theory. I'd actually call it 'fact'. I do have another ska band but we haven't played in ages now and the drummer does not practise at all and I don't see what going anywhere =p

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a good horn player? =p

  3. Yeah, they're pretty good for that. I know people say 'Eurogamer always give low scores' and such, but usually what they say is pretty true/accurate and, not that I care too much, their scores are usually a good match. Maybe it's just a British thing...
  4. I remember when I started reading comics and X-Treme X-Men was one I downloaded (I was still buying others at the time). Definitely glad I did not buy that.
  5. A collection of details on ME3: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/103/index/7352856
  6. Ten things you'll think playing Deus Ex 3
  7. I guess? Please don't take it that I mean if you don't know about instruments, tunings and scales then you can't create music. I guess I just think, for the most part, it takes a bit more than that to be able to express something 'artistic'.
  8. Obviously, there's that. But I was talking specifically about punk. You can obviously get a sense of what sounds 'right' but those guys would still have to know something, even if it's just how to tune the guitar. I don't want to open a whole can of worms about what is considered 'music'. My main point was simply that an artist will have some knowledge about their chosen medium. And as others have pointed out, the technical stuff is merely about tools for expression.
  9. Oh who said you lied? Because you never, you never. Who said you lied? Because you never...
  10. Panic Driver makes me think DevilDriver which is MetalCaveman's avatar.
  11. Via Dean http://www.cdaction.pl/news-19164-2/wiedzmin-2-zabojcy-krolow--recenzja-pierwsza-na-swiecie.html You could use a translator, but with my impeccable insight and translation skills, I will summarise for you. The game will feature hovering tanks Will not make use of BioWare's Morality™ (which is, quite frankly, at an outdated Version 2.0.4) but will, in fact, top it. Presumably, you no longer need souvenirs. Geralt will have the option of designing a hovertank in order to beat the game. One can only wonder what sort of moral ramifications this might have. Turns out gamepads also work for third-person games. Wonderful discovery. If you want to like the game, only consider the advantages, idiot.
  12. Sounds pretty interesting, might just have to make that my next read. Thanks!
  13. Yeah, your estimation sounds about right, Kenshi. I probably should just get the regular trades rather than the big hardback collections, but I didn't realise they weren't all published when I started buying them and now I have started... Also, there's something I like about sitting down with a thick book and a cup of tea. It's been a long time and I think I need to reread Fell again, especially if Ellis is doing more (said a computer crash lost a load of scripts and he was rewriting them). Chances are I've posted this before, but it's still probably my favourite opening panel to a comic. Obviously, the couple straight after are great too.
  14. I am really enjoying it. It has its odd moments but it's pretty cool. What I do like is that it feels like quite a journey (beyond having to wait for each collected book to come out ) and that I haven't had an ending spoiled for me, so I'm not quite sure what to expect. I thought I was nearing the end with the 4th book but apparently that's a little over halfway.
  15. As well as what everyone else has been saying, even though punk music is very basic, a guitarist would still have to know 5th or 'power' chords as well as some basic scales.
  16. Yeah, and I wouldn't say 'humming a ditty' is art. You have to have some form of musical knowledge to even begin creating music. Just having an instrument, not knowing how to play and being bad at it, is not art.
  17. CHESS: RACE WARS In a world of black & white, one pawn saw shades of grey. This is the story of his epic adventure, moving directly forward and sometimes diagonally so but never looking back. COMING JULY 2012
  18. OK, I updated mine. Just reworked some of the ordering (sorry, Nexus!). I would considering adding Halo: CE or Halo 2 as well as a Mass Effect game, but I'm sure they'll make the cut anyway.
  19. Winding Ethan up is always fun.
  20. o rly? I guess that sort of explains a bit with The Truth video in ACII. Possibly more in Brotherhood; haven't played it, but I hear it has another such collectible thing.
  21. ISTJ: 78, 1, 12, 44 - very expressed introvert - slightly expressed sensing personality - slightly expressed thinking personality - moderately expressed judging personality Those make it sound a bit weird, but the Wikipedia description makes it sound good. Inspector. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inspector_(role_variant) And it all sounds very British. Second one is: Introversion Sensing Feeling Judging Which sounds eerily accurate too: http://www.personalitypathways.com/dom-si.html
  22. Wait, what? You'd rather look down at your inventory on a little screen on your controller rather than have it on a TV screen?
  23. You're not agreeing on no physical media (he is just throwing out ideas and said it's unlikely), and it's certainly not going to come in next-gen. I don't think a touch-screen controller would take off either. No one thinks an iPad is ideal for gaming and, even if you were just using it for buttons, you can't beat the haptic feedback you get from a button.
