  1. This is probably waaaay late, but since I noticed Dean has started playing Heavy Rain I remembered it was quite interesting to hear how people's playthroughs of the game varied. Hence, this thread! I've split it into parts for easier digestion and skipped over a fair few less interesting or crucial scenes. I'll put it all in spoiler tags just in case. All the chapters are named and numbered in case you want to consult guides/walkthroughs for a refresher (numbers won't be 100% because story variations will affect this but they should help give you an idea of timing). So, go on. Let's hear how your first playthrough went!
  2. Over here, all sorts of people wear those sorts of shoes. That and we don't actually have hipsters. Forgot to mention I purchased The Presidents of the United States of America's debut album. I've 'owned' it for years via a friend sending it to me, but saw it for cheap and, since it's such a great album, decided to grab it. And I've ordered one of these: Also, I guess I should mention some birthday gifts I got a week back: Curb Your Enthusiasm: Season 7 Kick-Ass CSI: Season 1, Part 2 (in case I want to start doing some Hor-Rate-io stuff for those)
  3. Love the nonsense lyrics and varied choruses. Oh and the second half of middle eight (around 2:58) is fantastic.
  4. Hmm, I was having what sounds like the exact same problem (although it doesn't sound like it's the same bit). Nothing to do with computer specs, really. Just a bug in the game. Think I might have to sit back during that fight too.
  5. Which of my sunglasses did you want?
  6. Not yay but probably fake http://www.curse.com/articles/other-en-news/951073.aspx
  7. I've heard AC:B is very good (I intend to get the PC version when I get my PC back) and Deadly Premonition certainly has a cult following. ALSO HAPPY BIRTHDAY OLD MAN
  8. Haven't listened to this album in a long time. Making me nostalgic now...
  9. Jim Sterling was championing Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom for a bit too. Can't speak for the whole game but the demo was alright. Nothing outstanding. Felt too much like he just loves trying to give attention to 'underdog' games. ...I hate Jim Sterling.
  10. 'Doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to figure that out': not a thought you should be having during the first episode of Sherlock =/

Everything else was good otherwise. Just a bit of amateur writing/plotting, really...

I'm reading the stories- and while I heard the TV show was good I'm staying the shithell away from it until my lit exam is over

  11. I know all species were 'supposed' to have evolved along similar lines as was the Reapers' design, but it fits with the whole Prothean beacon 'compatibility' and subsequent interest in humans (although ME2 was implying there is just something 'special' about human's diversity apparently?) But, yeah, I really hope it is not that.
  12. ... But...but...
  13. The Constant Gardener. Very 'heavy' film, but good too.
  14. I'd probably prefer toggle, but the important point to take away is that either is an option.
  15. Aww, I want you to get mad. I don't want you to protest, I don't want you to riot, I don't want you to write to your congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. All I know is that first you've got to get mad! You've got to say, "I'm a human being, goddamnit! My life has value!" I want you to get up right now and go to the window, open it and stick your head out and yell, "I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!"
  16. Of course I'm following. Just thought it was funny because both you and a friend had linked it very shortly afterwards.

  19. With their track record, I'm sure SCEE have only just realised something has happened.

  21. Oh, I didn't literally mean that your partner would say 'we forgot the murder weapon'. Just that they'd use them as a helping hand in a case (as a partner would assist you in a real case). Although, I did get the sense maybe they'd wind up finding something you'd missed if it took you a while or you kept going round in circles. Same thing to me, anyway. You still can't progress until you have enough to solve a case.
  22. Something gives me the impression that you can't really fail cases; just get a bad rating, which you can replay to improve. EDIT. Ha! Just seen that Totilo had put up an interview he had with one of the developers. And I was going to suggest that your partner probably highlights stuff you're missing... For reference: http://kotaku.com/#!5795931/la-noire-can-be-rockstars-easiest-game-or-one-of-its-toughest-your-choice Good thing that you can turn off all those hints and such too.
