Don;t worry, 538 has stabilized with Clinton at 65% chance to win. The Brits know shit about polling (see: Brexit polling). I think I am just going to not follow the news until 9 p.m. next Tuesday.

I think its chance to replace the 3DS depends on its cost relative to the 3DS. I'm also curious if a lot of Ninty's mobile game lines will end up on the Switch, too.

The Reapers are a Milky Way species and seem to focus their plans on the MW. It's possible that they go on a circuit of reaping such that while they're away from the MW, they're invading and reaping a different galaxy, but I do not think that's supported by any of the games or fiction. They generally just chill out somewhere in intergalactic space between reapings. I kind of hope they're not a big feature in the next ME game. Time for a new threat.

Except his tweet that the new US hierarchy is based on education is wrong. The hierarchy is based on your parents' wealth, full stop. Class mobility is very poor in the US. Education is no longer a gateway to steady work unless your family has money. There are exceptions to the rule that get trotted out to make the US look like a meritocracy, but the data strongly suggests that mobility is the outlier. Of course people are angry; but their anger is misdirected at the left when the right promotes policies that will further entrench the current class system.

Yes; the events will be 600 years later, but the characters from the Milky Way won't be from 600 years in the future. Given that it appears the ships are sleeper ships, the actual people from the Milky Way won't be 600 years more technologically or culturally advanced than the people in the original trilogy. We likely won't see the effects of ME3 on the Milky Way, either.

I booted it up for a bit this afternoon and I couldn't tell the difference from the original, which I haven't played for years. The character models are still.... Bethesda-y.

No, I will not buy a gimmicky Nintendo console gaming tablet. Nintendo should just make games for the consoles, computers, and tablets people already have. This gimmicky form factor adds nothing of value.

We just signed the contract of sale and put the money down. Looks like it should all be wrapped up by the end of the year or early January. After a relatively peaceful game as Pericles, I'm getting war declared on me seemingly non-stop in my game as Egypt. It doesn't help that both China and Brazil are in the game, and Brazil hates me for winning too many Great People and China hates me for building too many Wonders. there's nothing I can do to mitigate their jealousy. Norway also declared war and tried to invade me before I built up a navy, but once I beat him and built a navy, we've become good friends.

National Parks shouldn't have such ridiculous restrictions on size and shape. Also, I didn't realize until very late game that building a long string of cities is much less efficient than a cluster that all get each other's district bonuses. Still a great game, though.

Why would it be BC? It's not dual screen and Ninty wants to sell you games you've already bought three or four times yet again.

Civ VI feels like it has as many features as civ iv and civ v did after a couple of expansions. I like it, but if I hadn't watched hours of let's plays, I'd feel a bit lost. Edit: As is the case with every recent Civ game, the AI turns go much much more quickly if you turn on fast movement.

Huh. It feels slower than Civ V, but I may be misremembering. They're not super-slow, jsut slow enough that I reach for my phone while they're calculating sometimes. Still, though, I am really enjoying the game and the changes seem to be good, so far.
