  1. Hahahaha. Dragonball Evolution was absolutely horrrrible. I was watching it with a friend getting completely smashed and cracking jokes and we still hated it. I feel like I recently saw a movie I hated so much it made me angry, and I dubbed it 'Worse Than Dragonball Evolution,' but for the life of me I can't seem to remember what it was. Hrm...
  2. I cannot see this thread without promptly getting freaking this stuck in my head:
  3. Hmm. Unless woot is extra clever and tying the coupon to accounts, maybe it would work for you anyway? You should add something and see if adding the coupon works, just to test. [EDIT] - Yeesh. I just got one from Groupon too. It's pretty crazy how many sites completely unrelated to Gawker are emailing people about this. The repercussions of that hacking are certainly no small thing.
  4. I just got this e-mail from woot: That's pretty cool of woot - five dollar tee shirt next time I find one I like! I'm still incredibly frustrated though that an account I made and forgot about three years ago is out there, ripe for those torrenting the list to spam or try and crack. It's bad enough having one e-mail address on that list, but two? And both of my main e-mail addresses? Sheesh...
  5. Someone just posted this on #speakup over at Kotaku. It's a remix of a song off a new album I guess. I'm going to have to track that album down - their first had some pretty excellent tracks. This remix might be better than the original version though - just watched the video for the original and it's very restrained, compared to this.
  6. Thinking I'll order food tonight, make the delivery folk brave the rain instead of me... Pizza or Chinese?

      I imagine that exists somewhere.

Chinese. May I suggest Shredded Beef in Cantonese sauce.

  7. ? Also, has everybody else been having trouble getting into games? Last night I was only able to get into 3, and 2 were lagging so bad that they didn't even really count. I think he was saying if you were looking for a game, there would probably be people playing in there. Also, yeah, I played on a 100 > ping server last night and the lag was ridiculous. Gave up and played the single player a little bit to get used to the game (haven't played it on 360).
  8. Oh yeah - God of War like a few people have said. I never made it through the first one and haven't played the others. And I liked DMC4. I'm considered insane for this.
  9. Yurg, I could really go for a crappy, cheesy fast food burger right now. There's no fast food in my area though - a few hours round trip by public transit at least.
  10. From my short amount of time with the Witcher - playing through the prologue and first chapter - the thing that stunned me about the game, was the atmosphere. The music, the weather, the people going about their daily lives, the wildlife. It felt stunningly organic. That game and Stalker (with the 2009 Complete Mod) are the two recent games I've felt most blown away by and immersed in due to their stunning atmosphere alone.
  11. But. That's Milla Jovovich. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opDlJZ5kfXk One of the best deceased bands in the recent decade, IMO.
  12. I had a non-legit version of the first game for a little while and loved it, but my laptop couldn't run it without wanting to die. I've been waiting to nab it on Steam for a long time (about a year) now that I have a desktop that can run it, but keep stupidly missing the sales. Pretty sure this X-Mas sale is my ticket. I also don't know why I haven't pre-ordered the Witcher 2 yet. It's been in my cart on and off for weeks. I did gift it to a friend for Christmas already, though.
  13. Minecraft. *don't kill me* I feel like I should buy it before it hits Beta, just so that I have it just in case I someday want to play it, but I don't know if that's going to happen. Chances are I'll regret it if I don't... but still. I dunno!
  14. I've watched this video so many times. It's amazing. Also, all these videos that are sad but sincere homebrew attempts remind me of this scene: You'd have to see the film to understand the context, and you should. Such a great film.
  15. I'll always remember the ice crystal cave in KQ5 - it was the prettiest thing in gaming I'd seen at that point.
  16. 6pm PST is the usual start of my availability, any night really, though I suppose weekends (for a few weeks at least) should be mostly free.
  17. Ooff. I had nachos again. Full again. Too full to be drinking beer tonight, I believe. Hmm... maybe scotch though!
  18. Do itttt and then let us know how it is! I'm always eager for a new PC online shooter.
  19. Wow. I could have sworn I'd gone back to the beginning and read all of these at some point, but apparently I haven't. I never knew stick figures could look so different!
  20. A bunch of people in Speakup on Kotaku keep saying they've gotten into the Beta, so let this be a place to discuss the game once Beta becomes more widespread or the game releases. Has anyone here gotten an invite for this yet?
  21. http://www.amazon.com/Zombies-2011-Year-Infection-Calendar/dp/0789321807/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1292547780&sr=8-3 I was given this calendar and was very surprised and pleased. There's plenty of other similar themed ones, too. I mean, you might say: "...a calendar? Really?" But it's something I wouldn't buy for myself (wouldn't think to) and it is pretty thoughtful.
