  1. I doubt they'll write anything about it though other than it's an attribute of him, like sensing evil. The ripping flesh thing was an end gag, playing golf with Hudson Abadeer was a sight gag, and Death and him are acquaintances. Resisting the aura device is part of it all, however with the pace the show goes to build upon things, maybe he'll serve a purpose for when the Lich King returns. Which will be four seasons later...
  2. But Margaret has liked him for a long while. It's just, to me, we see all these instances of Mordecai being gross and, as Rigby said, she still let him kiss her. Most of the time Regular Show is a laugh riot of 80's references, adult humor, and physical gags. Still, at times the characters do develop in ways like Mordecai controlling his jealousy and Rigby gaining perseverance. I imagine in a future episode Margaret is probably going to have to actually say something to Mordecai where he doesn't overreact and imagine things are ruined with her because of an embarrassment. Yeah, Mr. Serious Here, but whenever it comes to Margaret-Mordecai episodes, I judge them a little more harshly. On Peppermint Butler... I feel like he's more of a gag character where we, the audience, know he has dark attributes, but it may not amount to anything significant. There's a lot more hinted at, like the Lich King planning something, or when on Mars it was said The King of Mars was prophesied to meet Jake. EDIT: Actually, there are a lot of things hinted at in the course of the series. Magic Man's lady friend, Susan Strong being human, the Mushroom Wars, PB's feelings for Finn, and now we have Jake soon-to-be father of Magical Rainicorn-Dogs.
  3. Regular Show rarely disappoints me, though "Big Kiss" ended rather poorly if you ask me. Maybe because Mordecai didn't learn anything, or that if him and Margaret kiss again, he'll technically have his second kiss and he has this obsession to make things perfect with her so we know he'll create more trouble.
  4. Didn't someone a while ago post a link to a well-designed website on animal extinction? For a class, the group has that topic and it would be a great source.

I seem to recall TheFlyingGerbil linked it in Weird & Wonderful Web, if you want to try and find it yourself.

  5. I'm going to be Zero, much like how I was Mordecai in the first. (Edit: Though when Mecromancer is out, I'll want to give that class a shot too.) I'm really excited for the sequel to be honest. When I got the first game, I had slight interest in it, but my sister wanted to give me the right game for Christmas. I regret not trying to play co-op more as it would have made some of the dry parts more enjoyable. Except for that ending.
  6. Last night I opened up my PS3 to see what power supply I had. Turns out I have a good model, so all I did was take the top off. Believe it or not, it's tricky to put the top back on. There's only one possible reason why my PS3 died again: Kevin Butler was displeased with me playing Mega Man 10 on Wii and not PS3!

How many times have you had to send your PS3 in now??

  7. First, Mal, that's a favorite of mine too and I've been thinking of suggesting it to this remix musician guy on YouTube as he has done other Adventure Time pieces. Second, Flame Princess. I've grown less fond of Princess Bubblegum because, like Revan was saying with Goliad, we're seeing more of her character. At first she's this goofy genius character, but the impression I'm getting with her now is that she can become too technical/logical, and though she can speak of feelings, she herself seems to distance herself from being honest to those around here. Flame Princess is simply cursed with having a great source of destructive power. Finn is willing to go through severe burns to save her, and she in turn returns those feelings because he allows her to open up to him. Overall, I worry that I'm not as drawn into Adventure Time as I once was. The show seems to at time have two different progressions: structured depth and impromptu goofiness. As odd as those two sound, what I mean to say is that at times it seems the writers (and etc) will take their time and build on the characters of the show. Previously events will be recognized and further explored. One of my recent favorites was the King Worm episode where Finn went through all his fears to combat King Worm's control. Of course, lets not forget the Ice King's origin! The recent episode however, it kinda bothered me. I'll admit it's rather foolish of me to think this, and I did get many laughs out of it, but when the solution to Finn and Jake's fight with 'The Farm" is to fight cheap so that can become "Brolegends," it feels like it goes against Finn's character to be fighting cheap. Jake himself seems to have two different personalities: the zany procrastinator or the supportive companion. Hopefully you guys get what I'm trying to say, but I'm also still going to watch the show. Just, as an adult I notice these things that younger fans of the show wouldn't even consider and that is the primary audience. So, like, why care?
  8. I love tracking packages sometimes. Rather than wondering when the magical teleportation system with spit out my boxes, I now know that they're simply riding around with the UPS guy in town.

  9. The Zelda games Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks Kirby Super Star Ultra And as Mister Jack said, Jump Ultimate Stars. The only thing I couldn't do was play online because, after a year out, the only ones playing online were experts who would murder you with Ichigo and Frieza.
  10. I would always see ParaNorman advertising, even during the Olympics. It has been out for a while, so I don't think you're going to see much of anything on television now, but this one I liked a bit.
  11. I imagine the WiiU has to be backwards compatible with Wii games given that we're going to be using Wii controllers with this console too. It'll be funny for me because I left my GameCube with my folks since my Wii plays GCN games, but if I get a WiiU, I'll probably use my old Wii strictly as a GameCube. Probably also all the downloads I have since I can't imagine those could transfer to the WiiU.
  12. When my torx tamper proof set arrives tomorrow, I'm gonna see if I have the crappy power supply in my PS3. Considering that even if the 15 blade fan is "inherently" flawed, the thermal paste has been replaced and having a more energy efficient power supply is about all that can be done to keep it cooler.

Oh my... I can just imagine someone trying to remove a Torx tampon... "dammit! I left my T27 driver at home! Why didn't I just go with the cheaper Phillips pack?!"

"Tell me about it, girlfriend! I made the mistake of getting a Tri-wing set..."

Probably requires those fancy screwdrivers that aren't phillips or flathead too.

  13. Possible, but negative ads have become popular practically for a defensive purpose. Think of it as: Guy A: I'm not a liar. Guy B: He's a liar. If "A" is always talking about himself and his positive attributes, those same qualities can be tarnished by "B" creating doubt to the public. Everything "A" was building up for himself can be perceived as falsehoods and that he's merely talking about himself because he's trying to deny what "B" is constantly asserting. So then it becomes similar to a sibling feud. Hey, you know what he has done, America? Sure, he says this, but I know that he will do this because etc, etc. To the best of my knowledge, there are rarely few purely postive campaign ads. Either they're strictly negative or have this mix of "A sucks, but B is good." Anything wholly postive could be when candidates are preaching to the choir, but even then said candidate can always add a little jab to their opponent.
  14. ParaNorman I wasn't motivated to see this film, but trust me, it's pretty good. For being a PG film, it slipped a lot of "adult" humor in. There's also some REALLY great effects for a claymation film. It gets slow a few spots, but I never particularly felt bored through the film. Seriously, some of the jokes sold me on the film. I mean, I don't want to spoil anything, but I was starting to think that maybe the movie was PG-13.
  15. Casualties of Flood (at least my favorites): Fallout 3 GOTY guide, four volumes of manga, a few GOOD course textbooks, and probably the most tragic is my VERSUS Majora's Mask guide. Yeah, I could go online for any hints, but back in 2000 that wasn't really "a thing" for my 12 year-old self.

You have my empathies. I had something similiar happen to me when Hurricane Katrina hit.

Sounds petty compared to what happened to N.O. and parts of MS and AL...but sucks nonetheless...

  16. FML: Third of my room flooded because the washer had a broken hose, so over the course of two days water had been seeping into my room under my bed. I kept things under my bed, namely books and I mean books I LIKE to read. I also burnt off half my arm hair, but that's a normal day's work for me. Oh, and one of my roommates is a dick.

  17. So, I have my PS3 back and the guy was really surprised I needed a second reball. I think it changed his mind on the whole "heating" issue, but a question! How do you guys keep your PS3/console cool?

I have it standing upright, and just maybe vacuum the vents every once and while. Its always been fine, and its a EU launch PS3.

My PS3's a slim, but I've still got a launch 360 going strong.

I take that back, I actually got my 360 a year after launch. AFAIK the design's the same though.

  18. I should be getting my PS3 back tomorrow. Slightly worried because I should have had a call today about what the problem was with it. Just my luck...

Cool you should download Dawnguard--- OH WAIT. FUCK THIS WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was the problem? Too many baths with the PS3?

    2. TheRevanchist

      TheRevanchist

Hey, there still is a slight chance Dawnguard will come to the PS3. If it doesn't, then we will just have to sell the PS3 version and buy the fully bundled 360 edition in a year or two on the cheap. :)

Silly CP, I got Skyrim on PC!

Honestly, I don't know what the problem could be. I already got it reballed, which is suppose to be a permanent fix. The guy said it could be memory, some battery. He totally ruled out "heat" though a lot of people online talk about heat being an issue. "That's a load of gibberish," he said.

  19. On the ethernet subject, the last two complexes I've lived at had outlets. My current residence offers wireless, but you have to go through a "registration" for your devices to be tied to your account. The free wireless only allows three devices, but you can pay $10 a month for a faster speed and an extra device. I have my own wireless router so I don't have to go through this all. Might not allow me the fastest speeds, but I can connect to my router far more easily than going through registration. EDIT: So I would say it's becoming a trend in new apartments. I still have a modem around just in case I have to go out and get my own service like I did when I moved out. Lived at a decent place, but you had to get a lot of your own utilities.
  20. The only Game Boy Color games I kept were the Zelda games; Oracle of Time, Oracle of Seasons, and Link's Awakening DX. I wish I kept a few more of my OG Game Boy games like Mole Mania, a non-Mario Miyamoto game, though it is on the Nintendo eShop. It's one of those games where it would have been cool to still hang onto, but not actually own again. I had a lot of crap games, but now that I'm older I bet I could have beaten that Batman TAS Game Boy game too. All I have from that era is Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Metroid II: Return of Samus, and Kirby's Dream Land 2. (Kinda wish I kept my Tiny Toons games too.)
  21. MaliciousH, to think my night couldn't get anymore frightening/disturbing. Just... no words can.... behfyujd!!
  22. After all this time, confirmation of Tobi's identity, and it feels good to be right.

  23. Today at work, I got a song stuck in my head. Not anything recent, and for the life of me I could not recall what it was and from whom. It was Pjanoo from Eric Prydz, a song that literally debuted four years ago.
