  1. Sorry, should have put more context... I might have exaggerated a bit, but it's the color of each season finale. In Book One, it's a blue hue; Book Two, green hue; Book Three, red/orange hue. This I've known for a long while, especially considering that it's really "in your face" in Book Three. What "blew my mind" is that LoK's Book One, Air, did the same thing because there is a prominent white/grey hue along with open skies.
  2. "Wireless + Popular Download = PS3 on All-Night" So yeah, I'll get around to it tomorrow.
  3. The sad truth is that we'll have an ounce of romance guaranteed given the fangirls are putty in the hands of Bryke. No, but seriously, a little confirmation on the status of Makorra will probably turn up if anything. Viewers do want to see Bolin have another shot at romance, but personally my #1 Want in Book Two is a "Sifu Lin and Student Bolin" scenario. For all intents and purposes, I'm hoping that the pro-bending league is postponed due to repairs to Republic City. This way we can see character development outside of an arena. Heck, maybe now that Korra has all four elements, we could cut to her finishing Tenzin's training (like she was finishing her firebending in Ep. 1) and going around the world doing Avatar stuff. Mako and Bolin could come along easily, and maybe the group could survive off Asami's money (though I'm sure the Avatar receives killer discounts). EDIT: Blew my mind!
  4. Would Perfect Dark still be a good game to have for N64? It's considered a classic for N64, but I never played it and it's also a 12 year-old game.

I thought it held up pretty well. Certainly, it's worth owning.

      MasterDex

Yeah, it's still a fun game. Just be warned, the controls are going to take a bit of getting used to, they're a bit outdated now.

  5. Yeah, he's young and it's not like there aren't any girls who would go out with him. When Mako first sees Korra, he thinks it's another fangirl that Bolin has brought along. The trick is finding a girl who doesn't flip out over being with "Bolin from the Fire Ferrets." Book Two episode idea: Bolin goes on a date with a girl, but she's completely insane. Bolin doesn't quite recognize this yet until Bolin and her go on a double date with Mako and Korra where the two get weird-out.
  6. Took me some time, but definitely worth the effort.
  7. It's intentionally annoying/disturbing though that Aang and Katara call each other "sweetie." They're still in this early-teen relationship where everything is puppies and rainbows, but after Part 2 (and the interview up top) we're going to see some "mature" conflict. Obviously they stay together, but they're going to realize that the world of romance isn't exactly smooth sailing. I mean, Katara really shouldn't be jealous/worried, but Aang literally could have a harem of fangirls if he so desired it. The difference being is that Katara loves the Aang attribute of "Avatar Aang" while most of these girls just want to dry hump the Avatar.
  8. I'll never forget when Maher defended SOPA simply because "if it weren't for the pirates, my movie 'Religilous' would have been successful!" Obviously paraphrasing there, but the point being he went on a rant about how his financial success was more important than the rights of "people with no lives" online.
  9. Well, I didn't get Mario Kart 64 (forgot you needed to "confirm"), but I got Diddy Kong Racing and Star Wars Rogue Squadron together for $16. Luckily I didn't buy an Expansion Pak online too because it turns out the N64 I bought had one in it!

But Donkey Kong 64! That's where I got it, and it also upped the resolution of Rogue Squadron. Helped out some other games too.

Diddy Kong Racing is so fantastic. I just rebeat it a few months ago.

      DONKEY KONG 64?!?!?!?

Ok I've calmed down, but I once sold my SNES games and console for DK64 and Jet Force Gemini. What was I thinking, you ask? I don't know, I ask myself that every day :'(

  10. Gonna have to agree with that; we're not an easy bunch to please. There are tons of people with a Sony console who are excited for PlayStation All-Stars, but a large portion as well who couldn't care (i.e. myself).
  11. Looks like The Promise: Part 3 won't cover what happened to Zuko's mom... because that story is getting it's own graphic novel series called The Search! Oh, and Princess Azula is making a presence too.
  12. Possibly, but then in those hundred years before Aang's awakening, "latent" airbenders could have been shoved off to... you know, be "dealt with" like when the Fire Nation set up traps for any airbenders that escaped the initial air temple assaults. Yet, the way Air Nomads were described to live was that they secluded themselves from the rest of the world. Air Nomads would travel the world, but I wouldn't put my hopes into them "spreading their seed" because all their children would be trained in the air nomad lifestyle. Basically, the Air Nomads were a pretty self-contained people. North and South were males, West and East were females. Every child was an airbender because airbenders were highly spiritual and because "airbender + airbender" can really only yield an airbending child. EDIT: But as I said before, bending is both genetic and spiritual. It would have be interesting to see if two nonpracticing Air Nomads would have an airbending child, even if they both can airbend.
  13. Dude is selling his N64 collection on eBay, and is someone who kept them clean like I did... DON'T MIND IF I DO! (But seriously, names on cartridges are the worst. "MIKEY")

I only ever wrote my name on my controllers, especially in the N64 days, when you'd get various friends together to go play Mario Kart or Smash Bros, but the host only had one or two controllers. My friends always seemed to have loose sticks on their controllers, wouldn't want to mix them up.

Stickers aren't bad, as long as they don't cover the label. I'm talking permanent marker with the name plastered on the cartridge either once or three times.

Three times seems weird, but otherwise eh.

  14. Honestly, as far as Bolin and Asami...
  15. Hey, anyone else see Brave this weekend? You know, that new Pixar movie out now? It's good, really good, but just letting you know it's more of a mother-daughter movie than an adventure-quest type movie. Like, there aren't that many locations even with the fantastic scenic moments. You have a castle, a "stonehenge-like" place, a hut, and a destroyed castle. Felt weird because, well, I couldn't "connect" with the film since my father and I never had "mother-daughter" issues...
  16. Given that Amon had the time to line up people in an almost public execution style "cleansing," Korra could easily notify the press and have a productive weekend.
  17. Alright, some other people have noticed this too (glad I'm not insane), but during a certain scene...
  18. Short Version: OMG njlwnjlqeleruigenqrjfnwjlnerwlfnerkglerwrnegruejgi34jgt4ughtnfdjv Actual Coherent Version: Very good, and I mean I didn't expect the turn of events. Well, I mean, I got most of my theories right, but even still the sequence of events wasn't as most people expected.
  19. Yep, at this point it's like, "Oh, that game I played a while ago... I guess I could see how the extended cut is..."
  20. Yep, just bought a "Like New" N64, two controllers, and carrying case for $80. Looks like it came from the Star Wars Episode 1 bundle because there was an "Anakin Skywalker" booklet with the instruction manual. I think the seller was right, someone bought it and left it in the closet after a few plays.

I'll never forget playing Super Mario 64 on Christmas Day. Glorious times.

Before that I remember whenever we went to Walmart I wanted to run to Electronics to play the demo Mario 64 they had set up, and there was almost always a line.

    4. Battra92

      Battra92

Yeah I never had an N64 until they were clearanced out and by then the games weren't really around. I played MArio 64 on the Wii more than on my N64. Of course in the early N64 days I was glad that I had an NES from a yard sale. :D

  21. Serious, for Christmas my father gave me a nice $75 watch. I've only worn it twice, though it also doesn't help that as a right-handed individual I wear a watch on my right wrist.
  22. While I'm sitting at work, with nothing to do, I begin browsing eBay for Nintendo 64s. I wish I could go back in time and tell 15 year-old Atomsk, "No you idiot! What the hell do you think you're doing? Trading in TWO N64s and all your games for a few more GCN games?!"

I disagree. I find my experience playing N64 games on an emulator in HD with a 360 pad to be vastly superior to playing them on the original hardware.

N64 is probably the exception, yes. SNES, though, a lot of the games have little sound glitches here and there that drive me mad.

Recently picked up a cheap GameCube. £10 on eBay, £10 for Rogue Leader and Starfox Adventures. Really enjoying it so far. I just don't have enough time to play it.

  23. Heads up to new GIFs. I imagine you can go to the prior link I posted for the 17 new images I made. I didn't do some of the more obvious ones because those have already been done to death. My personal favorites: In case you haven't seen the preview "Dinner in Hiding." Spread 'em around if you can because I don't think my post is going to take off, for one reason or another.
  24. Oh lawd, the people that take Reddit seriously. "No, you're doing it wrong! DOWNVOTE!"

I barely even vote. You really got to impress me or be waaaay off to get anything. I'm not sure why people takes it so seriously.

  25. Finally got around to playing Super Mario 3D Land. I've owned it since November, opened it months ago, and after today I'm in World 6.

Update us when you've gotten all the golden coins... and beaten the secret worlds.

I was able to get all the gold coins and beat all the secret worlds. The tanooki suit basically breaks the game. Great game though.

      P4: Gritty Reboot

I did too. It just took much longer than just beating the normal worlds.
