Would Perfect Dark still be a good game to have for N64? It's considered a classic for N64, but I never played it and it's also a 12 year-old game.

I thought it held up pretty well. Certainly, it's worth owning.

Still fun in co-op
-
Yeah, it's still a fun game. Just be warned, the controls are going to take a bit of getting used to, they're a bit outdated now.
-
Well, I didn't get Mario Kart 64 (forgot you needed to "confirm"), but I got Diddy Kong Racing and Star Wars Rogue Squadron together for $16. Luckily I didn't buy an Expansion Pak online too because it turns out the N64 I bought had one in it!

But Donkey Kong 64! That's where I got it, and it also upped the resolution of Rogue Squadron. Helped out some other games too.
-
Diddy Kong Racing is so fantastic. I just rebeat it a few months ago.

DONKEY KONG 64?!?!?!?
Ok I've calmed down, but I once sold my SNES games and console for DK64 and Jet Force Gemini. What was I thinking, you ask? I don't know, I ask myself that every day :'(

Dude is selling his N64 collection on eBay, and is someone who kept them clean like I did... DON'T MIND IF I DO! (But seriously, names on cartridges are the worst. "MIKEY")

I only ever wrote my name on my controllers, especially in the N64 days, when you'd get various friends together to go play Mario Kart or Smash Bros, but the host only had one or two controllers. My friends always seemed to have loose sticks on their controllers, wouldn't want to mix them up.
-
Stickers aren't bad, as long as they don't cover the label. I'm talking permanent marker with the name plastered on the cartridge either once or three times.
-
Three times seems weird, but otherwise eh.
-
Yep, just bought a "Like New" N64, two controllers, and carrying case for $80. Looks like it came from the Star Wars Episode 1 bundle because there was an "Anakin Skywalker" booklet with the instruction manual. I think the seller was right, someone bought it and left it in the closet after a few plays.

I'll never forget playing Super Mario 64 on Christmas Day. Glorious times.

Before that I remember whenever we went to Walmart I wanted to run to Electronics to play the demo Mario 64 they had set up, and there was almost always a line.
-
Yeah I never had an N64 until they were clearanced out and by then the games weren't really around. I played MArio 64 on the Wii more than on my N64. Of course in the early N64 days I was glad that I had an NES from a yard sale.

While I'm sitting at work, with nothing to do, I begin browsing eBay for Nintendo 64s. I wish I could go back in time and tell 15 year-old Atomsk, "No you idiot! What the hell do you think you're doing? Trading in TWO N64s and all your games for a few more GCN games?!"

I disagree. I find my experience playing N64 games on an emulator in HD with a 360 pad to be vastly superior to playing them on the original hardware.
-
N64 is probably the exception, yes. SNES, though, a lot of the games have little sound glitches here and there that drive me mad.

Recently picked up a cheap GameCube. £10 on eBay, £10 for Rogue Leader and Starfox Adventures. Really enjoying it so far. I just don't have enough time to play it.

Oh lawd, the people that take Reddit seriously. "No, you're doing it wrong! DOWNVOTE!"

Hard to impress? I rarely downvote because usually when I don't care for anything, I don't vote on it.
-
I just realized there's a tab in RES where you can see all the stuff you've downvoted. Hrm.
-
I barely even vote. You really got to impress me or be waaaay off to get anything. I'm not sure why people takes it so seriously.

Finally got around to playing Super Mario 3D Land. I've owned it since November, opened it months ago, and after today I'm in World 6.
