  1. As my copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution has yet to arrive in the mail, I've begun Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. GameTrailers was right, the "Assassin" gang Desmond hangs out with are best described as coming from Scooby-Doo. Most of the time I wish I could stab Shaun for being such a douche.

I would say "claw," though probably more lose. I couldn't help it with my last mouse as it was a tiny laptop mouse the size of your palm.
  3. I was 12, going on 13 in just ten days when it happened. This means I was in my first days of middle school, a time were you're in-between childhood and a young adulthood. I was getting ready to go off to school when my parents were turning on all manner of media devices. I believe they first heard the news over the radio. Turning on the television, scanning more stations; it was a frantic morning that I wasn't initially capable of fully grasping. Honest, I thought it was some middle-aged conundrum I wasn't getting. Once I arrived at school, everyone went to their respective homeroom class. We always watched this cheesy teen news television show that was prerecorded as it would air early on the eastern coast. Even before the newscast there were stirrings of what was going on, but much like anyone in the United States, we didn't know the full story. How could we when it wasn't even over? As we watched, it all began to sink in. This was a reality that only existed in films, right? America is strong and fortified, isn't it? Why? How? It was like being a small child comprehending death all over again. You didn't want to face it, but you witnessed it and there's never going to be a moment where it's effect leaves you. As time has gone on, I know the nation has done well in recovering from those wounds. I wish people wouldn't joke about it, but there are those that heal from making light of it. I didn't lose anyone, but I knew others around me who did. Around this time, they couldn't help but remember it. It's a phantom to those whose lives were shattered, not simply altered. I would almost become irritated by their depression. I knew some actually would use it as an excuse to shrug on school work. I wanted to, a few times, stand up and call into question what their loved one would say if they saw them (right then) depressed and putting off life so they could go feel sorry for themselves somewhere. Putting their life in neutral so they could fear the past and cry as if it were an annual ritual. It's one of the few times were I've felt cold, and I knew I didn't have much right to speak as I've never lost someone in such a horrific manner. If there were one thing I wish all American citizens would retain from 9/11, it would be the unity we felt as an American people over this lose. For a little moment in time, we were the United States of America. Can I say there were some ill effects of it? Yes, as anyone of the Islamic faith could tell you. Still, there was a greater sense of unity than at any other time since I've walked this Earth for nearly 23 years.

Last night I ordered the DeathAdder off Amazon for around $47. It was the "Standard Edition," and while I'm a fan of having my stuff match, the "Black Edition" was $57.
  5. At work, I made around 300 grilled cheese sandwiches. College freshmen sure love their grilled cheese sandwiches.

Better have had some tomato soup to go with it.

They could go get some where the soup was located. I think they were to busy having foodgasms to notice.

Am I the only freaking person in the world that doesn't like grilled cheese sandwiches?

  6. It's not necessarily the same, but as a kid I would hide games amongst the crap titles or other items nearby to "secure" a copy for myself later on. If the employees did their job, it wouldn't work. Needless to say it worked most of the time. Last time I did that was almost two years ago during Best Buy's holiday sales. I had not sold my textbooks back to the bookstore yet, so I tried to hide Arkham Asylum. Still, a part of me expected it would be gone the next day, which it was considering how frequent customers were tearing through store shelves.
  7. Gifts: Xbox 360 wired controller and AC: Brotherhood. Bought: X-Men First Class.

  8. X-Men First Class I have never seen it, but if so many people can gush over an X-Men film, it should be rather amazing.

I think I'll get the DeathAdder. Went to Best Buy today so my sister could get a birthday gift for me before moving away forever, so I took a moment to look at the "gaming" mice. They had one DeathAdder left, but at $59 I knew I could get it for cheaper online and I didn't want my sister to spend that much on me. Instead she got me AC: Brotherhood ($40). Anyway, I got a good look at the DeathAdder and it seemed like a great design. I also got to see the G4, G5, and G7 mice from Logitech, but I wasn't entirely convinced.
  10. The Dark Crystal I saw it once as a young child, not being bothered by it too much. Now as an adult, there's a lot of surrealism to where I question if I've received a contact high. Also... TRIAL BY STONE!

If this has been discussed before, forgiveness. I searched, but I couldn't find anything relating to gaming mice(?), though I'm sure it has been discussed. Any who, I'm in the market for a new mouse. I figured since I do a little PC gaming, might as well be a well rounded mouse for both work and gaming. Problem is, I'm not sure what to be looking for in a gaming mouse. Keep note that I'm not looking for something elaborate with [many] extra buttons, or really anything that will cost me an arm and/or a leg. I've done some browsing, and the Razer DeathAdder looks like a good, simple enough gaming mouse. Thing is, I don't know the perception of Razer other than the company made the well-received Onza 360 controller. It might be like MadCatz where they have one (or two) good products in a heap of dysfunctional plastic. I've seen some Logitech gaming mice, but they look... odd. Perhaps like if someone took molding clay and squeezed it in the palm of their hand. They might be good, but I dunno. I DON'T KNOW! (Save me!)
  12. Word of Warning: This is some manly stuff right here, I tells yer wut!
  13. There are many great popcorn gifs, but this is probably my favorite.
  14. Star Fox 64 3D comes out today, if that means anything to early adopters.
  15. Alright, I want to get back into Super Meat Boy, but I'm told that using a controller is beneficial. I've learned that plugging in a DualShock 3, though drivers do download, will not work at all. I thought a wired Xbox 360 controller would, but unless I'm mistaken, if it's not a "for Windows" controller, I would have to download a driver anyway.

Well recently I was looking up the process for using a DS3 for Windows 7 and the 360 controller bit caught my eye. My brother-in-law didn't realize when he got a 360 for my sister he would be receiving a controller, so they have an extra. I might take it off their hands.

as long as it's a /wired/ 360 pad it doesn't matter. Vista n Win 7 support it off the bat.

Use MotionJoy with the option to emulate a 360 controller. No reason to dirty your hands.

  16. Kung Fu Hustle I thought there would be more humor, but it surprised me with how much action was actually present. It's a movie that realizes it's going to be using a lot of effects, and so the effects are in your face. The whole idea of hidden Kung Fu masters, an awkward anti-hero turn messiah, not to mention the weapons.
  17. I know, another status update, but it has a "purpose." I'm going to be doing a few vlogs because I have a media project. It's suppose to be something I've never done, thus "vlogging." Look, you'll get to hear my sexy voice and, for my first video, those Converse shoes I've been gush on about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J8Y3Yvd8sk

This being the first time I hear your voice, I thought you would sound "cuter". Still though your voice is so regular (and delightfully awkward!) that it's comforting C:

  18. Got my new Converse shoes today. They're basically My Old Cool Shoes 2.0, a.k.a. an improvement in every way.

Fuck I need a new pair of Converse. These pair are dead. They must be over 5 years old.

Can't say that I was ever interested in Converses. They looks flimsy and such.

The new BTTF Nike kicks are on eBay today. You fucked up!

...just kidding, I would never pay that much for a pair of shoes. Especially for a series I've never watched before.

  19. How about the 3DS2DS+ (3 Dimensional Screen 2 Dual Stick Plus)?
  20. It's not that it's always going to get good reviews just because the price might be as low as $0.99, but that "price" will hardly be an issue. You know how we frequently talk about waiting for a lower price on a certain game like El Shaddai, or maybe Dead Island based on its quality? With iOS, or Android, those games are pretty much buy or don't buy. Sometimes you have a free week, and the more expensive games can lower in price (for a limited time), but that's usually by a dollar or so since they're already so cheap. So yeah, I wouldn't expect a lot of variety since the criteria isn't that demanding for most iOS games.
  21. Some asshole is racing his gasoline-fueled RC car in the middle of the complex. The sound is echoing, thus everyone is pissed.

Psh small thinkers. Eat some burritos or chili-dogs, get a paper bag. Place poop in paperbag, set small incendiary explosive or light it. Follow the car back to its' owner. Chuck that bag right at his face. LIKE A BOSS

  22. I've been having zombie related dreams. Not nightmares as I'm hardly scared by a dream where four warriors slash and blow up zombie science experiments. I don't have Dead Island, but my mind seems to be telling me to slash some zombies up. I might save up for this game as well. I wish I could co-op, but like with Borderlands, I'm probably gonna be without friends (even when they say they'll join). Really wish there was local since I can actually get along with my new roommates.
  23. Really made my day, this one.
  24. Ocarina of Time. I'm overdue actually on my annual run! I was kinda hoping to play the 3DS version this year, but I guess I'll double dip this winter.
