  1. Last minute research, GO!

    1. 「Advent Chaos」

      「Advent Chaos」

The art of bullshitting at it's finest :D

  2. I whispered that to my father when we saw the film Friday. It was pretty good, but with myself not being well educated in Thor, I can't really say if Thor was... Thor. I also got to watch my Blu-ray of Green Hornet. In short, it was better than I expected. It wouldn't be my go-to [super]hero movie, but it was definitely entertaining. At a price of FREE, I can't really complain.
  3. Yeah the retail PS3 titles on PSN would probably be better than a Greatest Hits "mass mailing list" scheme. There's definitely more than five PS3 titles on PSN, so we could be choosing from inFAMOUS, Mass Effect 2, God of War (I & II), Assassin's Creed II, and etc.
  4. It's an assumption, but I would say retail PS3 games. The logic I'm following is that games on PSN have been referred to as PSN titles. Of course, we're talking about selecting two out of a preselected five, so the retail PS3 games could be a selection of Greatest Hits rather than any recent title (no matter their current respective discount at retail).
  5. The roommate that shares a bathroom with me has made the entire area dirtier and nastier in two weeks than me and my old roommate in four months.

Ugh... the throne room must be clean or else...

  6. SCEA, I rather have that offer than a free year of AllClearID. Heck, take back the free PlayStation Plus month too!
  7. I'll take Jazz, the token black bot, over 1) dog sex, 2) Sam "I can't say love until I'm in the middle of a desert with giant alien robots and military soldiers" Witwicky 3) wrecking ball testicles, and 4) those twin "dayum sawn" bots.
  8. What's killing me is not being able to play with the surge of friends picking up Portal 2 now. Sure I've completed everything, sans trophies, but I still want to be there for their experience. Well, that, and some of them are all, "Sony is teh suxours!" I want to be all, "Steamworks cross-platform co-op, mothalicka!" B)
  9. I didn't purchase it, but I too fell into possession of The Green Hornet on Blu-ray. Parents came by for the weekend, and while my father bought it for himself, he decided he didn't want it and gave it to me. I've never seen it, so... yeah... As for The Incredibles, I think I would like it even more if it weren't for the fact that it, along with Cars, is always playing on television. Too much exposure! Probably in my Top 5 of Pixar films still, but not as high (for me) as Toy Story and Wall-E.
  10. I'm awake at 5:45 a.m. because my gigantic Daft Punk poster fell off my bedroom wall. It took it falling twice for me to realize higher humidity + mass = sticky hooks can't hold that frame now, ya knucklehead!

I got it in a "pack" on the Tron Legacy Soundtrack site. I can't say what the individual price is, and I don't know if you'll find a legit second hand price.

      Poster puddy?

Maybe if it was a cheap retail poster, but this is one classy poster. :3

  11. Strange? I would say that's probably one of the most amazing premises to any movie. It's life; lived by everyone that exists every second that we exist. To me, perspective is probably the greatest thing anyone should learn in life. When I traveled to New York, I came to the realization that there were so many people in one city, living in a moment, and each person had their own story. Perhaps I'm only ever going to most of these people once. Maybe we'll meet again because what they have going on in their life. Right now, this instant, there is a birth, a wedding proposal, a loved one passing away, a man losing his job, a student celebrating a success, a group of teens partying, someone contemplating suicide, and another embracing nature. If more people could break their limited scope and understand how similar we are in such daily occurrences, there wouldn't be as much intolerance and indifference of one group to another. Moment of Zen, ladies and gentlemen.
  12. My Nintendo posters and Daft Punk poster arrived in the mail just fine. I hope the poster won't cost too much. The co-op poster is less than $10, but this new one is a sight to behold. I usually like to frame my posters, so I'm already spending quite a bit of money for just one poster.
  13. Dean, tell me there's a poster variant of that gorgeous item.
  14. So those $20 scooters... They were not Razor, and my friend didn't realize that was a brand name, not a type of scooter. Instead, they were cheap Mexican knock-off scooters. I still got one, but I'll be giving it to a friend.

      -_-

$20 was too good to be true.

  15. Oh, trust me, I got to the point. I literally gave him a tutorial on the many ways to turn off a PS3. Showed him the buttons, icons, and sounds to undoubtedly know if the console is turned off. I even talked with my other roommates about what was said, what would happen, and basically how they've got to make sure he follows through with said ultimatum if I'm away. Of all the things to have conflict present, it's the simple function of "I'm done, it's off."
  16. Well, my PS3 was left turned on over night again. Last time I had not thought of the threat beforehand, so I kinda expected this to happen when I arrived home this morning. I've been house and dog sitting for my sister, so I've been gone a lot from my apartment. The door is locked, what with this jackwagon of a roommate believing he'll be raped in the middle of the day. I unlock the door and there he is standing there rubbing his bare chest. He pretty much gets up in my face and says, "Hi~!" Alright, hello and etc. Essentially, I walk around him and there's the PS3 left on with the television turned off. "Why is the PS3 still left on with the TV off?" "Oh, uh, what? I don't, um..." I went into rant mode, and I kinda feel bad since I know part of the problem is that he's a little off. Not mentally challenged mind you, but probably the greatest example of being an airhead. Still, I issued my warning/threat to take the PS3 back into my room if he couldn't do such a simple task after he was done watching some terrible show (seriously, Laguna Beach). I'll be back tonight, but I hope I have put the fear in him to push one button.
  17. Sometimes I feel like I've metamorphosed as a gamer when I see other gamers my age still in the fanboy stage. I was a fanboy too, until I was 17 years-old!

I'm proud to say I believe I always eluded the fanboy title. Unless you could harmlessly call me a Spyro the Dragon fanboy when I was little.

    3. Johnny

      Johnny

I used to be a sony fanboy back in the ps2 era.

      God, I was awful.

    4. CyberToyger

      CyberToyger

      Fanboy here :3

Not fanboy as in "starts flamewars and buys all things Mario/Sonic/Pokemon/Marvel/Anime/etc", but fanboy as in "I f*cking love Valve and all their games, I spew quotes from Portal 1 + 2 left and right, and I would give up the ability to have sex in exchange for a handheld portal device" kind of way. :3

  18. I always feel weird buying classic Disney films on Blu-ray. Like, I know I already "have" them, via childhood, but I don't own them. The Lion King though, I'm thinking I'll be able to get past it simply because of how much I enjoy the film. Sure it messed me up for two days when I was 5 years-old, what with the concept of a dying father, but it's a classic!
  19. I own a car, but a friend of mine is selling brand new Razor scooters for $20. With crazy gas prices, I think I would use it a lot.

Well, she only has five and I'm not sure I'll even be getting one.

    3. Enervation

      Enervation

Well, if you haven't owned one before, and you travel a lot to places within a sizable walking distance, you should get one.

I'm in college and I literally live next to campus, and I really regret not getting a bike or a scooter. It really speeds things up for you.

      CorgiShinobi

I've had one, but as a kid to get to friends' houses.

Turns out I got the last one, so now me and her need to meet up tomorrow. :D

  20. I'm fearing that soon I'm going to have to smack some sense into a roommate. The PS3 is out in the living room for Netflix HD streaming, Blu-ray movies, and possible gaming for company (mainly mine). The roommate that mumbles and smells everything, he lives off of Netflix since he doesn't do much else in his day. I've shown everyone how to turn on the PS3, and subsequently I've also shown them how to turn it off. The Bluetooth remote exists for their use. It's a simple device. So, why on Earth can he not turn OFF the console?! I've told him, "If you're not going to use it for an extended period of time, turn the thing off." So, today I arrive home and he has a movie paused on Netflix. Alright, whatever. Oh wait, my other roommate comes in and says, "You're still on the same movie?" .... Me: How long has this been on while you're... what are you doing Him: I've been doing homework for over an hour. Me: Basically, I tell him to turn it off and walk away for a moment. I come back in to the living room and the TV is off... BUT THE PS3 IS STILL ON! "Dude, why is the PS3 still on?" "Uh, what?" (In the most idiotic voice you can imagine.) Me: Let's turn on the TV again so we can see how to turn this off, alright? *TV turns on* *TV turns off* Me: ...why did you do that? Him: What? Me: I turn off the PS3 and I'm now contemplating on issuing a threat that if the PS3 is left alone and still left running, it's going back into my room.
  21. I still play my Wii, though on a minimalist scale, but I agree with "WTF, no HDD?!" I'll say it again, but Nintendo needs to accept a better concept of online service/interface and plan for digital/online storage. Flash memory was fine 'n dandy the first year or so, but it became a pain. I'm glad there's finally SDHC support, but in comparison to the 360/PS3, it's a joke.
  22. If it's named Feel, I would like to create an advertisement with MGMT - Electric Feel (Justice Remix). For reference: YouTube
  23. *hits head for not making Steam account before PSN outage* Have been unable to redeem PC platform this whole entire time.
