  1. Yes, in the trash. It might have been an accident when they were cleaning for the apartment cleaning check, but it might have not been knowing how her roommates act. I told her I would help to get them back, because really, she pretty much works for food and rent. Not much money left for wants/entertainment. She's "too kind" and so she can get pushed around a bit. Luckily she has lots of friends who stand by her side when trouble comes around. I've told her, if they trash the DS Phat, I'm not going to let them get away with it again. Obviously I won't physical hurt anyone, but it'll go down.
  2. I met with a dude who worked on the Denny's account for this Super Bowl ad. I seriously I don't remember this commercial, or the huge Denny's turn out and media frenzy that it caused.
  3. That's right! Unfortunately, when I went to Toys R' Us for the "Buy 1 Get 1 50% off," all the versions were gone. Went to Best Buy instead and I happened to receive a $5 Gift Card. I'm not sure about getting Black for my friend right now. She does happen to be the stubborn type. It took me months to get her to accept my DS Phat after her douchemates threw out her DS.
  4. I think video games do desensitize us to violence, but that would be fictional violence, a.k.a. cinema and games. I'm sure when we played our first few violent video games, there were some moments that made us feel a bit uneasy. Now we've come to realize, as Phallus said, that the violence in video games is merely a symbol of skill or progression. Take Killzone 3 for example. You can simply "Melee" someone and get your 150 points. However, there are "Brutal Melee" attacks that are more cinematic in nature. Again, as Phallus said, it's a "In Your Face" kinda moment. You were able to get near them, and now you kill the character/avatar in a more brutal fashion than a bullet or hitting them with your gun. Now, if someone is playing video games to actively seek out violence, well, I personally would say to stay far away from that individual. Games don't instill violence, but I still think games can be detrimental for those with anger and abusive tendencies. It's like they're festering those negative thoughts and emotions.
  5. Does this external hard drive need an A/C adapter? Not to question you, but is it one of those?
  6. Killzone 3, why don't you love me like your older brother, Killzone 2? You seem to only want matches where I do poorly to be recorded, whereas matches I've done exceptional well, you painfully freeze it, tell me there is no Session Master available, and give me an error code. Error codes are just pitiful excuses Killzone 3. If you behave yourself, I might come back on my own. As of now, I'm only going to visit when the TAY cousins are along. Pokemon will know how to treat me right.
  7. You know what, I think I've come to realiz..... SESSION MASTER NOT AVAILABLE

  8. You're using the Backup Utility, correct? Or, what I'm getting from the previous post, when you plug in the external drive, it doesn't show on the XMB.
  9. Maybe if my roommates would pay their part of rent, I'd go get Pokemon tomorrow. Can't blame them though because who carries cash around, amirite?

That's still a worry. Be too lenient and they'll become too lenient.Be a hardass, set some groundrules

Yeah, this is damn rent. If one day you can't cover their asses, you all would be screwed. The landlord won't care...

  10. I think I used either the first or second slot. I didn't think it would matter what USB port I used, and again, I didn't run into any problems.
  11. Well, back in the 5th generation, we did have varying prices. I'm not aware of what the criteria for pricing the individual games was though... I remember LEGO Racer being a good $30 game, but of course we had ones like Superman 64 that went for $60!
  12. Hey, kenshi, I'm playing KZ3!

The winds of Helghan awoken me from my slumber. I am ready to serve His will.

  13. Adding to Friends... Quick like the wind!
  14. Alright, come Friday I'll head on over to Toys R' Us!
  15. Doin' laundry, but give me a few hours.
  16. Hmm, I might go the Amazon route. Like, I think I could get White and then use the $10 credit for the next version. Mainly, I'm thinking about Victini, but I have another question about that... Is there a physical (paper) pass, or is it simply receive the game and play before April 10? I'm reading about this thing called a "Liberty Pass." Is that in-game, or is the pass like a voucher? Really, if it's nothing that special, I could go the Toys R' Us route.
  17. Sometimes I wonder if my roommates think I'm a ragaholic, like, if they ever hear me playing online...

      You’re right! I’m a rage-aholic! I m addicted to rage-ahol!

  18. I had a few good Guerrilla Warfare matches, but I'm still sore about that damn Warzone match. I mean, I was doing SO well. Normally, I'm pretty average with a few moments of glory. Now I'm reduced to playing late at night because I can't normally play during the day. This is where I get uneven matches and the folks that play far more than me. Hell, I still don't know some maps that well. I get the suspicion that people like Pyhhrus Crater, but I absolutely hate that map. It's large, but cluttered with so much crap to where you're just running through outdoor corridors. Really, I know that Helghan is suppose to be in "ruin," but that theme is completely unnecessary to a certain extent. At least Salaman Market is still relatively the same.
  19. I don't drop the F-Bomb a lot, so when I say this, know there is a lot of anger behind this sentence. FUCK YOU KILLZONE 3 SERVERS! I'm assuming, Forgetful Brain, that the match I joined with you froze with you as well. Yeah, of all the matches that should freeze, it's the one where I come in kicking ass. Who set all the charges? Who was getting Double Kills, Explosive Double Kills, and Exosuit Kills? Late comer hitting the #3 and as I'm about to lay waste to a group of Tacticians, the whole damn thing freezes. Or, you know, it could be the shitastic Comcast service I forcibly have... Seriously, I needed this boost. It was on my favorite map, and there was good competition. Most times these matches blow because of the uneven numbers and retardation of teammates. Shit, the guys I was playing with were actually looking out for my back when I was setting the charges!
  20. I like to take the palm of my hand and crack my fingers one by one, rapid of course. My left ankle I can crack almost every time. It's strange why it would crack that often...
  21. I used my Western Digital 250 GB external hard drive, changed nothing, a.k.a default.
  22. Tell me mighty TAY clan, where can I get a good deal on buying both versions? I think I might get around to White version, but a friend of mine who's into Pokemon (the one I gave my DS Phat to) probably won't get it because of money troubles. She could have Black and we'd be Pokepals!
  23. If I could add one more thing, before the hounds of hell spit fire, I'm not sure development planning goes by a "time" criteria. At least it really shouldn't... Like, it's more so how much content you want to add. Is it a type of game where you can replay it, or you can go on various side quests? Since Strange mentioned it, we could look at Fallout 3, or even New Vegas. There are hours worth of content in the game, but it's dependent on you. I'm sure Fallout 3 could be a 15 hour game if you directly went along the main quest. Yet, you have so much more offered to you, and you're passing up 90% of the game if you go that route. With work and school, it took me almost a week to get through one play of Dead Space 2. Great experience, but I would say the entire amount was 12 hours since I obviously used checkpoints a bit much. Replayed for trophies, and so I spent a few more days playing. Didn't touch multiplayer and still haven't. DLC got three more hours out of me, but again, I went along with it because I had the time. LittleBigPlanet, as I've said, is a great example of simple, but extensive hours. Media Molecule merely created the tools you use for creation, and offered some of their levels for a story. The "Story" doesn't take that long to finish, but there are millions of user created levels, and nearly countless hours in Creation Mode because it's all you (fueled by your imagination)!
  24. I'm going to be on KZ3 multi. Today has been far too surreal.*looks at palm*
