  1. Is this from the same people who are/were planning to purchase the game? I was thinking, if there was any controversy, it would be from the people ignorant to what "Duke Nukem" is as a game. Perhaps these are found in the group that was going to purchase the game as well. Like, "Oh, it's suppose to be an action packed game with really funny bits!"

  3. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/hardware-review-nintendo-3ds/712227 Looks like I'm getting mine in June. Considering Nintendo has said most of the features will be available in May, looks like I'll get a full experience out of the box.
  4. Saturday, a.k.a. My Adventure in Capitalism! Or, a.k.a. I'm selling things for money and people will buy them because of the competitive price.

Festival of Colors? I'm Indian and have lived in the communities and have never heard anyone refer to it as that. What area are you in? Also, Holi was 6 days ago, bro.

It's not so much a traditional celebration, but a region wide "everybody come this weekend and color each other" celebration.

  5. It's snowing outside, but yet my springtime allergies are raging just as hard.

  6. The whole singing thing at the beginning of At World's End kinda put me off. I got back into the movie quick, but... it was kinda surreal.
  7. There was so much explaining in-game about the C-Gear, I'm kinda glad I don't have online functionality so I don't have to think any further on it. Makes me wonder if the younger Pokemon trainers actually get what the heck that little sprite was telling them. So yeah, I turn off C-Gear when booting my save file and I have the "Dowsing Machine" registered to the Y button. EDIT: Oh, almost forgot! If anyone else concerns themselves with stats, take note on the Nature of your Pokemon! List of Natures For example, while my Galvantula is awesome, it has Sassy for its nature. Sassy means that while Sp. Def receives a 10% increase, the Speed stat receives a 10% decrease! I'd rather it have a Calm (+Sp. Def, -Attack) nature as I'm not using the base Attack stat. Though, really, I guess it's the second best nature as even with a 10% decrease, Galvantula is still fast. Just, you know, not as fast as most other Galvantula. EDIT2: Actually, as I have Light Screen, I would probably want Galvantula to have a Bold (+Defense, -Attack) nature.
  8. Was the 3D on? Nah, for me I'm more so impressed with how Nintendo incorporated glasses-free 3D. It's like with the Nintendo DS and the touch screen. There were touch screens before, but for really mundane things (cash registers, PDAs, etc). While it was rough at first, I believe Nintendo had a strong influence in the uprising of touch screen technology. Now a days, well, there's a touch screen on a lot of products. Printers, cameras, cellphones, TV remotes, music players, etc. So, really, I'm excited for the day when I don't have to wear another set of glasses to watch something in 3D.
  9. Excel, as a current Haxorus owner, I would be careful with him. It would appear that his weakness right now is the lower HP. Like, I'm having difficulty keeping him alive through a few battles because of the weak Sp. Def. Base Defense is a little above average, but I have to say, Garchomp from Gen IV is looking better. Sure that Dragon-Ground type had an Ice weakness of 4x, but all of its stats are superior to Haxorus, with the exception of base Attack (but barely). Yet, if we're to devise a Gen V team, I'm now considering... Right now, what really impresses me about Hydreigon is that it can learn 16 of the 17 types. The only move type its unable to learn is... Grass-type.
  10. Has to be Drew Barrymore. I wouldn't say I can't stand her, but I particularly don't like to... see her... I mean, I don't even think she is that attractive, and she has gone the route of the Hollywood Blonde. Kinda hypocritically of me since I have the movie Music and Lyrics...
  11. Since I doubt we'll be playing each other, what with no WPA support on my end, I might as well tell you my moves for two of my Pokemon. Keep in mind these are moves I want ultimately, not that I have them now. Excel, fellow Galvantula Groupie, take note! Galvantula: Thunder, Bug Buzz, Energy Ball, and Light Screen. As of now, he's equipped with Thunderbolt, which should be enough to tackle the Elite Four. Thunder is 120 Sp. Atk, but most importantly has 10 PP. If your Galvantula has Compoundeyes, you don't have to worry about the 70% accuracy. Bug Buzz is the strongest Bug-type Sp. Atk move Galvantula is capable of learning. Pretty much all there is to it. Energy Ball is a Grass-type attack with 80 Sp. Atk. This is one of those moves where, "Well, it's Electric, so do I need another move to take on Water types?" HOWEVER, think of those Ground- and Rock-types! What ties this all together is Light Screen. Light Screen doesn't just add Sp. Def for 5 (or 8) turns, but also doubles the user's Special when attacked by a Special move. The only thing I have to worry about is Brick Break. As such, I don't have to worry about base Attack. I'm sorta regretting giving Joltik some Protein to help with that stat, but Joltik and Galvantula begin with quite a few Physical attacks. So, at the time, it was alright. All there is to worry about is base Defense. Chandelure: Hyper Beam, Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, and Pain Split. First off, I have to say I'm upset at how Litwick or Lampent can not learn Hypnosis. By TM, they can learn Dream Eater, but it's useless without Hypnosis. So much for the description of "hypnotizing enemies with its flames." Anyway, Hyper Beam because of having the highest Sp. Atk of all non-legendary Pokemon. Pain Split will help recover any damage during recharge or typical battling. Flamethrower as it is 95 Sp. Atk with 15 PP. Inferno has 50% accuracy, so no. Overheat is 140 Sp. Atk, but only has 5 PP. Oh, and I'm not big on the whole reduces Sp. Atk by two stages! Sure Chandelure has the highest Sp. Atk, but I would like to keep it that way. Shadow Ball because it's the strongest Ghost-type attack you'll have... Well, Hex technically is as it'll go 100 Sp. Atk if the opponent has a status problem. However, I would be removing Will-O-Wisp in favor of Pain Split. Besides, Hex would be a two-part attack if I went ahead with that strategy. It's fine against average computer players, but higher leveled Trainers and humans won't give you much room to string an average combo. So yeah, going with a 80 Sp. Atk move over the (potential) 100 Sp. Atk move.
  12. I thought this would probably be the better thread to discuss the topic, as it has been previously mentioned. Anyway, Mr. Hotz is away on vacation in South America. It at first seemed like he was fleeing the country, but he states otherwise. Though, this begs the question... if he has enough money to go to South America, then why ask for donations for a trial? Sure he doesn't want to let the trial "run his life," but it's still a very important aspect of said life. Oh, yeah, not to mention those "online rights." Is it possible he was fully aware there would be enough people who would literally pay his court expenses? More importantly, Sony has provided evidence that Hotz has been evading court authority, withholding evidence, and even has a PSN account. So, really, this isn't the time to be running off to a foreign country. Even if you're not hiding evidence, or something of the like, it looks very bad in a legal dispute. Again, I'm pretty much neutral on the topic, but I still stand by my position that the dude is an ass. Source: The Escapist EDIT: Oh, I see it was in the News Feed... Well, I guess we can comment on how we feel about these turn of events. So...
  13. 6'0" Last time I went to the doctor, he said I was 5'11". Everyone else has been saying 6'0", and I want to be a part of the 6 Foot Club, so I am 6 ft!
  14. Or, perhaps, you'll use all the world's alcohol to burn said world!
  15. Alright, update time! I did catch Virizion and it only took 2 Ultra Balls! I have all 8 Gym Badges, went through Victory Road, and now I'm at the entrance to the Elite Four. Oh, and I even snagged Terrakion! I used a Quick Ball, which failed, but then after a single Ultra Ball I used a Poke Ball and caught it! However, some problems have risen... Mainly, all my Pokemon are Lv. 45. That's a little weak to face the Elite Four now. I'm still not quite satisfied with my team. Going with Lampent has been a really good choice, but I'm not sure about Mienfoo. Going up Victory Road was dangerous, so it was handy to have Max Repel. Like, Mienfoo is a really awesome Fighting-type, but it still is in a Basic Evolution stage. I'm sure once it finally evolves into Mienshao, it'll be amazing. I too have a Axew, but it has evolved into Fraxure and is about to evolve into Haxorus. I'm wondering if I should stick with a Dragon-type. I mean, once I take on the Elite Four, I could replace Unfezant with Excadrill. Again, Excadrill has amazing resistance, but its mainly a Ground- and Rock-type attack Pokemon. However, Unfezant knows Feather Dance and Roost. All of its attacks are Flying-type, but it could be helpful. QUESTION! How do you guys feel about going sans-starter? Like, for me, there are not that many new Water-types. Samurott is pretty powerful, but that Seismitoad is catching my eye. Its weakness is Grass-type 4x, but it seems like a powerhouse. I could get my Ground-type attacks in, and that way I wouldn't have to worry about Excadrill. Like, my reason for disinterest in Excadrill is that it only has Attack and HP. Its Speed is fairly above average, but everything else is really poor.
  16. People still use Limewire? Last time I heard of Limewire, 95% of the files were ridden with viruses.
  17. No, actually, it was a vacationer who hung himself because he couldn't find a proper hat to fit his tiny head. It was like all the rays of sunshine were mocking him, right in the face.
  18. I think everyone, no matter who you may be, has to see The Big Lebowski. And yes, I'm beginning to think I'm a huge Jeff Bridges fan.
  19. I dunno... if a Lite version were to come out, I would think that would become $250 while the original would be reduced to something like $180-$200.
  20. I think they're both really good as well. In fact, I might favor the altered logo because it at least establishes that there are zombies, rather than dead bodies. You have to think of the gamers that don't stay up-to-date with gaming news, blogs, and etc. I mean, I know what Dead Island is thanks to all the crazy hype from the trailer and premise.
  21. Couldn't sleep last night. Basically, laid in bed until 4:15 am, slept for an hour, woke up and laid in bed until 7:30 am where I got three more hours of sleep.

      WTF

I know how that goes. One reason why I hate summer.

  22. Seriously, I think they had a half-baked script, but said to themselves, "Look, the actors are all famous celebrities, or at least are known by millions. How about we let them write the script as well and have them ad lib whenever they feel like it!"
  23. Heck yeah, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm!
  24. Dean, thank you! I swear, I would go to the Smithsonian right now...
  25. Part of me does want to hold out for a 3DS Lite, but another part of me wants that glorious Ocarina of Time 3DS. I feel like this is probably an error that will affect the more dedicated handheld gamer. After all, I think the battery life issue is correlated to the price. People complained about $250, imagine if the 3DS did have an eight hour lifespan, but cost $350-$400. Though my DS Lite is "portable," I tend to leave it plugged in. For the most part, I do play it at home and near power outlets. I no longer ride in the back on a family road trip, and even then, I bring along AC adapters. Right now I do follow the habit of plugging in my DS Lite after I play, especially after a Pokemon session. It's still stupid, but I don't exactly think it'll affect me as much as, well, a grade school child. Heck, maybe it would be good for those kids to be reduced by 3.5 hours. You know, back in my day, AA batteries almost had the same effect.
