  1. Eff, Friday can not arrive any sooner! I'm bored to tears that I actually went back to the first Dead Space and got the Don't Get Cocky Kid trophy.

  2. I seem to remember a helpful tip from a show I saw some years ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPhZV7XfFXg#t=1m57s
  3. What the poop?! How come no one told me there were Viewtiful Joe avatars on PSN?!

Oh, I know you knew because I know you guys know of things I knew not of, thus making them not known, or simply put: unknown!

  5. I will, I will! Give me until Friday, and I shall not fail Helghan! Let our wine glasses runneth over with the blood of those despicable ISA dogs!
  6. I would say that's far more hilarious than the actual video.
  7. My sentiments exactly. I don't hate him, not one bit, but he's not my saint. Unless he is ignorant, he should have known the consequences, especially when dealing with Sony. This, "Uh, I'm going to need your cash because we need this" is not, in fact, my concern.
  8. Well, I'm trading off colleges as I have been, yet again, rejected by the department of my choice. In a little while I'm about to find out why I, to them, failed.

  9. This week is gonna kill me. Come Friday, the glory of Helghan shall shine forth in my upper-middle class apartment bedroom!

Killzone is pretty weird in that most guys seem to be rooting for "the bad guys". Not many folks pro-covenant or pro-locust.

I'd like to think there is some difference between the Covenant attacking humanity for religious reasons and the Helghast basically invading a planet that used to be theirs before humanity invaded and drove them off.

  10. Squirtle in Red version, and his name was SQUIRTLE!
  11. 'Ight, here's the situation. I was trying ever so hard to learn how long a pre-order lasts through the Google machine, but to no avail. So, I head off to Best Buy today, you know, what with all the glorious Helghast Editions glowing directly in my face. I ask a cool dude the duration of my pre-order, and it turns out I have a whole seven days to claim my Helghast Edition. As I said previously, I intended to get the standard game through the pre-order, but I can (theoretically) wait until Friday and bring honor to Helghan with the purchase of a HELGHAST EDITION!
  12. I wonder, has anyone tried Gamefly? Like, back in the day I would rent some games. Sometimes to demo the game, or to experience a game for a bit to know what my friends were talking about. My understanding of the service is it's like Netflix. While it might cost money, it seems like a legal alternative to the "demoing" aspect of piracy. Also, I don't want to be a Negative Nacy, but I don't know about anecdotal evidence guys. Like, you may know a lot of people who purchase after playing a pirated copy, but are we sure that's true for the entirety? I only say this because I know more people who would keep a pirated copy than eventually purchase the game. I'm not saying I'm right, and I hope you guys are right, just there's always some statistic out there that astounds. You know, kinda like eBay. I mean to say, you know how you can feel like you're the only one who's looking for a really obscure and old product? Yet, when you go to bid, there's always a few people in the nation who had the same idea, and at the same time!
  13. I still think it was fine, but all the "FPS elite" got into a fit and I still remember that ridiculous input lag video. I mean, we're talking milliseconds here, but I guess that can win/lose a battle. So yeah, eventually there was a patch that fixed the controls. Haters still hated, and so at the end of the day there wasn't much to improve as far as opinion. Killzone 3 has met everyone halfway, but again, haters doth hate.
  14. Oh shi-, bad news guys. One of my checks still hasn't been cashed for a bill, and so while I had about $109 today, I had to fill up the gas tank. Also, I got a pizza today because I did some laundry at my sister's place, and she never has any good food. Coupled with my Netflix subscription, I'm down to $60.99 and my check is for $50.43! I have $20 in cash, but that's pathetic. I'm going to go in tomorrow to see how long my pre-order lasts because payday is Friday. I already have groceries and everything set, just I can't splurge on a video game until Friday.
  15. Wow, and I thought paying $90 to fix my Wii's disc drive was expensive.
  16. That's the one I got, and I have not experienced any problems.
  17. You get all the pre-order bonuses. It's called the "Super Voucher," and so you received 1) Double XP for first 24 hours, 2) Unlock all weapons for first 24 hours, and 3) Three Unlock Points. EDIT: Keep in mind that "first 24 hours" actually refers to the 24 hours after you've used the codes for the bonuses. If it were the other way around, as in 24 online hours in total, these would be massive game breakers for anyone left out.
  18. While I really wanted to get myself a 7200RPM, I believe as far as PS3 data goes, it's how fast data is written to the hard drive. That would include installing games and saving media. I believe the default hard drive in a PS3 is 5400RPM, so if you ever thought that was slow, you could go for 7200RPM. Most often you're paying $8-$10 more for the increased RPM. Again, these are laptop hard drives, and so I would imagine RPM is more important for a laptop and not a PS3. Most save files are in the KB range, so at most you spend two, or three, seconds overwriting save files.
  19. Our People. Our Community. OUR HELGHAN!
  20. All you've really got to do is get yourself an external hard drive and use the backup utility in Settings. Once backed-up, you swap your hard drive and the PlayStation 3 will format the new hard drive. Once done, you can Restore Data through the same Backup Utility.
  21. Either Seagate or Western Digital. I followed this guide! It gives you a list of hard drives that are compatible with the PlayStation 3 format. I went to my local Best Buy with the list and got myself a Western Digital 250GB, and the thing only cost $43.99! If you wanted to go higher, there are links to Newegg listings with great prices.
  22. That's the way, sir, that's the way! But hurry! Only one more daaaay. Oh, I already pre-ordered. The problem was that the only way to pre-order the game was to pre-order the Helghast Edition.
  23. This. I upgraded it to 250GB, so I think I'm set for anything that comes my way.
  24. I will! I was trying to save up for the Helghast Edition, but a few days ago I realized that was merely a fantasy. I'll get the standard game with a pre-order bonus.
