  1. On the subreddit there were people saying they were experiencing a bug of some sort with skipping out on that item. I already had defeated the boss, but I wanted to be doubly sure my paths wouldn't be closed or bugged. Besides, the 10,000 mark isn't so bad when you enter later game enemies.
  2. I'm going to be taking advantage of Target's B1G1 50% off PlayStation, Xbox, and PC games this week. Think I'll go for Dragonball Xenoverse and RE Revelations 2.
  3. Play it now! I mean that by what I said in my first post of this thread long ago. These Souls-type games, while excellent on their own, are also complimented by the community. The community is best joined at the beginning because eventually it turns into elitists bitching about something or other and gankers this and gankers that. Right now, newcomers are very welcome and you're sure to find friendly co-op much faster than later. Also, you'll find out handy tips and tricks much easier because everyone from newcomer to veteran is learning them. Bloodborne is a big shift in combat for Souls veterans. It was always about taking your time, learning enemy movements, and experimenting with various stats. Now you pick a weapon and rush into that giant with scythes for hands!
  4. I look forward to your frustration from Father G. Though, if you want... That's the thing about these From Software games; the side quests can be easily missed.
  5. Nothing yet other than a few glances at other titles while I'm buying. The first issue is definitely your typical setup for what little we know of the characters and the technology for time travel. Kinda was annoying how for a few pages there's talk about how nothing could go wrong, but you know the whole premise calls for the time travel aspect to go awry.
  6. So I said I wouldn't go all-out, but I've definitely picked up a few more series beside Spider-Gwen. Spider-Gwen is in fact as good as they say and I can understand why there is such a demand for the next issue. I picked up Silk, another female webslinger, that's started out as well. It's more on the comical side of the Spider-Man persona, but it has potential. There was a Spider-Man special I picked up too, but nothing amazing so far. Finishing up Marvel I picked up Howard the Duck #1 which is an actual comedy series that does the job well. Good cameos as well. On the DC side of things I've only picked up Batgirl, the Arkham Knight prequel, and the latest issue of Deathstroke. Primarily I've found the female central characters to be more entertaining than any of their male counterparts. I wanted to get into more Batman/Gotham comics, but lately I've found some series just plain ol' have hideous art. Aside from all those, if you have to pick up a new series, Chrononauts is what I would recommend.
  7. Obviously it'll be called Bloodlife, the succession of being born from the Blood. Anyway, I just finished downloading the soundtrack from my Collector's Edition (with the sexy artbook and steelcase) and I think it's about time to be: Be born by the Blood, be made a man by the blood, and be undone by the Blood.
  8. When someone leaves you a voice mail about the status of your possible employment and asks you to call them back at no specified time. Three calls later and still no response on their end.
  9. I'm calling it. This is the "make it or break" venture Nintendo will embark on. Collaborating with another company and making new hardware to chase after a demographic, it has the makings of carrying your tombstone to your grave. Truth be told, it's an interesting idea of creating a hybrid gaming device with a smartphone approach. The problem arises that it has been done before to an extent in the past and the biggest problem is the way the smartphone gaming market thrives: F2P w/ Microtransactions. I know people tend to forget about it, but Sony tried to tie in their Xperia line of phones into gaming portables with PlayStation Network. It never really took off and now, if you want an Xperia phone or tablet, it does PS4 Remote Play. Not a bad thing and it plays to the strength of those devices as companion devices. I just don't see Nintendo needing companion devices for their consoles yet.
  10. Not sure if I'm willing to get back into the plastic instruments scene. I never got too crazy with the games as I was barely making enough money to buy the different instruments. Heck, I didn't play Rocksmith (where you use your real guitar) for that long either. Then again, I had roommates at the time and didn't want to keep them up.
  11. I have an interview coming up over the phone and I've got that anxiety acting up. I haven't done an interview over the phone in a long time.

  12. I seriously don't mean to make this a thing still, but if there's any positive to this #TheDress, it's that people have learned more about color and the phenomenon known as "color constancy." It was actually something I learned early on in one of my basic design classes. In fact, the brown-orange color was the example that was taught in class. If you find it (because I'm a little lazy to find it again), there's a gif out there that perfectly illustrates how color is a product of light and uses the dress. Shine an incandescent light close to an object and the lighting will affect the inherent color of the object.
  13. How the hell does a dress become a trending topic flooding feeds. Next thing you know some yellow underwear will be under debate of whether they're piss stained or not.

Okay, when I looked at that dress earlier today I saw white and gold and now I see black and blue. What the fuck?

  14. Slightly getting back into comics, but I don't plan on going all-out. I've been told Spider-Gwen is a good new series that came out this past Wednesday (25th), and I do love me some Spider-Man alternate universes. Drove around all of town to find a copy and each one was sold out of their issues around noon. I grabbed one online, but each shop I ended up at would tell me it's going to be a big series. Honestly, I think it's as simple as people loving Gwen Stacey. (And because female webslingers are hawt)
  15. I think I'll wait on Revelations 2 when it's complete, though I'm typically fine with episodic games. With it being Resident Evil, I want to see how this game turns out when strung together. Shouldn't be more than a month from now as each new episode comes out on a Tuesday.
  16. The only experience I have is entering a few dry stores, not so much the county. I think it was more so to curb the tendency of individuals treating the gas station and convenience store as outdoor drunken gatherings. Usually with places where small stores are a good distance from the homes because their focus is on travelers. It's why you'll still see some drive-thru liquor stores off rural roads.
  17. I guess the merit to a 5 points scale (without a .5 decimal) is that it makes it more cut and dry. The game has to go through the basics of being a functional medium (1-2), then we go into the entertainment (3-5).
  18. If you need further details: http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/498/~/compatible-wireless-modes-and-wireless-security-types The important thing for me is it supports my security, which should be common place in 2015. Back in 2011, when Pokemon Black & White came out, I gave a friend my Nintendo DS (2004) so she could play her copy of White. A roommate of hers was a jackass and accidentally threw out her DS Lite. If you remember the Nintendo DS, it was solely WEP key security. A friend and I wanted to help her receive Victini at least, and it so happened that one fellow apartment inhabitant had a router open. Crap signal and we had to attempt Mystery Gift twice, but she got Victini.

  21. As for the discussion at hand, if I had the time I would consider this a rental. If you were to wait for PS+, chances are you would probably have something else at the time to distract you. Of course, you could knock it out in a day or two so that's why you could get away with a solid rental now. The only thing that prevents myself from renting it is that I did bother to watch a bit of the game on YouTube. The best way to describe it is if somehow The Last of Us and Beyond Two Souls had a child. The game inherited The Last of Us' visuals and presentation, but unfortunately inherited Beyond's terrible-ass writing and its QTE use in place for the "cinematic" experience.
  22. If any of you didn't know, you can get a generic USB cable for a 3DS (old, XL, or New) for around $5 off Amazon to both fulfill the lack of an AC adapter for the New 3DS, but also give you versatility in charging methods. I just received mine today and it works just fine and is a good length. http://amzn.com/B0024ZT3XO On the stupid side of things, this: http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2015/02/nintendo_of_americas_damon_baker_explains_the_new_nintendo_3ds_xl_decision_and_desire_to_engage_with_the_community It boils down to because of the terrible product naming on Nintendo's end, the North American market would be confused on having two New 3DS handhelds. Yeah, except we primarily have XL variants as our go-to 3DS handheld for the last year with the traditional 3DS being limited and typically old inventory in less frequented stores. I think they were going to "confuzzle" the market either way with the new New 3DS no matter the size variant.
  23. Probably has the Promo Collection like I do with Majora's Mask on it. It's what prompted me to trade in my entire N64 collection as a dumb teenager. "Durr, I have all my favorite games on GameCube now!"
  24. On the Reddit thread, the top comment nails it: The issue isn't that it's hard, but that if you mess up, there's not much you can do to fix it. This stresses people out and causes them to be extra careful before transferring systems. That was me, so while it's nice not to download all your games again, there's the flip side of potentially screwing yourself. Nice if it works for you, absolute kick to the junk if mishap arises. As for colors and special editions, I myself am particular on which I own. I was thinking to myself that if I was late in grabbing a "New Red", would I be satisfied with Black? I think it's like picking a car; if you're going to have it for years, have it in a color you like and don't settle for less.
  25. Every time I see the commercials for the game, I have to remind myself it's suppose to be a video game and not a CGI movie. I'll make a call: we're looking at an average score of about 6.5 outta 10.
