  1. No because all you really get from him is a gesture if you talk friendly, which it seems you did. Many people opt to straight up kill him because of how easy it is to aggro him. Killing him or befriending him will get you his badge. If I get to him in NG+, I'll go for the friend route since I missed the gesture. You can still friend him so long as you enter from the Darkbeast entrance with the proper attire.
  2. About the condition for the final boss, two of the four possible pieces are simple to get whereas the other half require certain steps. If you want the gist of it...
  3. What does everyone's character look like? I haven't unlocked the Madman set yet (close), but for the time being this is my getup. Rolling around tends to clip the cloak away. Cainhurst helmet, Bone Ash chest, Tomb Prospector gloves, and Ashen Hunter pants.
  4. P.T. downloaded and never to be deleted. Never ever, ever, ever, ever to be deleted.

  5. The only issues I have are that I felt he was ruining his argument by going back to an old video of his, multiple times, and making a point of the dislikes from console fanboys. I'm saying that while he had good points, it wasn't helping his case to get defensive over what became a straw man over disembodied critics. What started as an opinion seemed to devolve into a reluctance to even view other platforms. Hence why I got an impression of indifference. I couldn't care any more over platforms, mainly because I have quite a few platforms so it doesn't make much difference. I don't sense any superiority for PC from him, but more of why he wouldn't want to be bothered. Instead it had to happen rather than a desire. I didn't really sense a hopeful outlook for Bloodborne either, so when he was getting into the "cliche" enemies of Bloodborne in the other video, it carried over that attitude in my mind. Glad he loves the big Lovecraft inspiration, but I still didn't make out a love for the entire game from it either. But as I've said, those were only my first impressions and it didn't motivate me to look further into the channel's content. It's going to be different for you because you've listened for many hours, if not days worth of content. I'll give it a shot if you're telling me he's not really indifferent and has more insight than the average viewer.
  6. Mind elaborating on this? Which other videos have you watched? Both the Console Gaming video and the Bloodborne H.P. Lovecraft video. So not very many, but my first few impressions is just what I've said. I get that the Console Gaming video was categorized under his "Opinion" videos, but it struck some bad cords for me. I definitely felt he had good points, but even with the journalistic attributes he displays, he ended up making a straw man of "console fanboys" and would segue into the "Likes and Dislikes" of his Sony video multiple times. Alright already, he was being "realistic" while everyone was excited. Get over it. In the same video he was putting pressure on Bloodborne to be the make it or break for the PS4. During his H.P. Lovecraft analyse it comes off like that was the only thing that saved the game for him. I don't see a full review for it yet, but I'm expecting it to go like, "Yeah it's alright and if you like Souls have at it, but I have my PC so there." Otherwise, I've found myself caring less for any kind of journalism involving games. So while I'm glad there are those who pride themselves on not being persuaded by the ill practices of this one industry, it has almost become a trope to have online content providers with the mantra "Damn You Games Industry!" I'll freely admit that's just my impression so far, but it didn't motivate me to watch other videos. This isn't directed solely to the channel, but overall my lack of interest in podcasts and opinion pieces. Even some of my preferred content providers I don't care to listen drone on about "the game industry."
  7. Personally, I have a hard time listening to the tone, if not attitude, of the few videos I've watched from the channel. It's like an indifferent, yet condescending, discussion that brings some good points. I want to hear those good points, but ease up on the tude, dude. Anyway, gonna make sure I have P.T. downloaded before it's removed tomorrow.
  8. Essentially, though from time to time a superhero might catch wind of Suicide Squad missions. The Suicide Squad has a few regulars like Deadshot, but otherwise the group will consist of an assortment of antiheroes and supervillains that act as deniable assets to the government. If you remember the two Justice League series from the early 2000's, there was that angry fat black woman; that's Amanda Waller. She's the director that gathers members for the Suicide Squad and makes sure they know they could die and no one would give two cents. In fact, there will be countermeasures for the Suicide Squad if they attempt to go rogue during the missions. Getting time off your life sentences might make it seem like a win-win, but the odds are stacked against the Suicide Squad since, again, they could die and maybe a teammate would care. It's why members tend to be captured and not volunteered. Anyway, Joker's tattoos...
  9. It's looking like Silent Hills has departed this realm. The Kojima-Del Torro w/ Norman Reedus Wombo Combo is finished.

From what I hear, Konami makes most of its money from weird foreigners that somehow like to buy soccer games. They'll be fine.

I don't much care for the SH name either...I just want a revival of survival horror.

  10. I forgot to visit Arianna before confronting the final boss, but I already had what was required of the "condition." I'll play around in NG+, but I don't expect to so much further. I'll definitely jump back in when there's DLC.
  11. I wish there was a respec item in Bloodborne. I found the Evelyn and thought it was the better Hunter Pistol, but really its S scaling only makes it the better firearm if you go 20+ in Bloodtinge. The Hunter's Pistol, with B scaling, will get you better raw damage if your Bloodtinge is below 20. I could post my stats later, but I feel maybe I could have put some of that Bloodtinge in Vit and Skill. Thing is I've already hit the soft cap on those, and I don't put much into Stamina because I use a rune to increase it by 15%. Only stats that get affected by it are Slow and Rapid Poison. Not many times you'll be faced with those, and Antidote isn't hard to come by once you get mid-game.
  12. I'm not into fighting games like I use to, but Mortal Kombat X is really tempting. Thing is I know they'll eventually have a "Kollection" like MK9.

  13. I'm excited for the update/expansion because it looks like Bungie seriously looked at what the community had issue with. The game became a grind because of all the shortcomings of obtaining your desirable materials along with weapons and armor. Seriously, the Xur upgrade system was such crap. I didn't realize at first that the stats would change to the number Xur was offering, not the numbers of your previous gear. So even if Xur offered the armor piece you wanted to upgrade, it might have been a terrible roll.
  14. Defeated the boss in Nightmare Frontier first try as well, but I had fun doing it and got some great screenshots from the PS4's trophy snapshot feature. Threaded Cane is seriously a good weapon. I only traded it for the Blades of Mercy because the alt transform can do good crowd control, though it requires you to get in the thick of your foes. The Threaded Cane does crowd control better, but keep in mind that's if you keep in front of the crowd. Another perk is that you can apply Fire Paper and Bolt Paper to the Threaded Cane because weapons with Bloodtinge damage and Arcane damage (i.e. Blades of Mercy) can't have those damages added to them with the paper items. The Rifle Spear is my second weapon and I swear it doesn't get as much love as it should. I love the Alt Charged R2. Made a certain Upper Cathedral Ward boss an absolute piece of cake.
  15. Only when I face a few challenging bosses does my reserve start to dwindle. I've been pretty good at the "hard" bosses, but last night I faced one of the more iconic optional bosses and I ended up going through 60 Blood Vials after 10 attempts. The thing about Quicksilver is it all depends on your preference for sidearms. I only use my Hunter's Pistol to parry and finish off the last bit of health, but at the same time I can make 5 Blood Bullets to buffer my usage. Ideally you would want to sacrifice that health when you can easily retrieve it, i.e. Visceral attacks and weak mobs. Argo, I always have about 79+ Quicksilver in my storage. No matter how you play, you're going to be using Blood Vials. There was only ever one time I had the maximum amount of Blood Vials, but a certain optional enemy I faced had me using most of those in my storage.
  16. There's no Hollowing mechanic in Bloodborne. One of the main core changes of the game is how health and death are handled compared to the prior games. Death really just means you have to start back at the lamp you spawned from and obviously the loss of Blood Echos (a.k.a. Souls). Your health will stay the same, but you don't have a source of unlimited health like the Estus Flask. Your health is only regained by Blood Vials and regaining what little you can with counterattacks after an enemy hits you.
  17. I look forward to Gear Fourth.

  18. I don't know whether I like it or not how armor/clothing doesn't affect your stats too much. Sure there are a few sets with one specialized resistance, but otherwise it's a guilt-free variant of Fashion Souls!
  19. Big life changes are a comin'. Potential jobs, apartment searching, love and more.

  20. Nah, they didn't pose a real threat. It's just after killing the fifth one you realize they're endless until the boss dies. Better off to use the two ramps to avoid them and focus on the boss.
  21. If you ask me, it's not planned as really all the player/user did was connect all the pipes as one connected stream whereas before you you chose which pipes to get you across the gap. 200cc is opening up the chance for unconventional shortcuts if anything as you might not have thought of taking a Mushroom Boost across a track corner as you'd never make the distance. Now you have the speed to cover greater lengths, though I wouldn't get too ambitious as even in 150cc too much speed can ruin the flow of the track.
  22. There's quite a bit revealed today, like Lucas coming back and seeing Mewtwo in action. However, what's interesting is that you can participate in requesting more characters for Smash: https://cp.nintendo.co.jp/us/ Bring on the Snakes, King K. Rools, and Ridleys!
