  1. I decided against a Twitter account. I think I have most people here on Steam. Besides, I didn't feel comfortable adding more social media.

That's what I ended up doing for the few months I was active on my old account, just following celebs and companies. And yeah, Iron Sheik is rather bananas.

I don't really see Twitter as something for personal use, more like something to keep up with on the random things I'm interested in.

The only reason I have a twitter is because I was looking for reasons to not write a paper

  2. How many of you guys still use Twitter? After the forum went down, I remembered Dean had one and that's how I knew what was up. Thing is, I've lost my old account and don't know if it's worth making a new one.

      TCP what's your @?

  3. Had to refresh the webpage for Chrome to show the forum again. I may not be as active, but I missed the place (a lot). I realize how out of touch I am with everyone else.

I spent my day playing more COC. Just terrible.

  4. No promises. Never had a PlayStation and I doubt I could have been gifted the game. Never finished the original on my PSP because of, well, the ink ribbon issue and my inherent loathing of losing progress. Thing is, I enjoy the Jill sandwich and I want to eat the whole thing.
  5. You can technically pre-order Kingdom Hearts 3 for $40.99 at a few online shops, i.e. Amazon. Who knows when it'll come out, but $41 is a good deal.

I have no shame when it comes to trophies.

  6. Like, that's how I cheesed the Phogoth strike when I had to solo Thorn. It took a while, but I did it without dying at Phogoth. I hope you don't think I'm trying to sound cool, just I swear I don't die that much. Felt bad you had to revive me five times. Anywho, while I'm sure it has been my connection the last few days, I think Bungie needs to admit there have been connection issues on their side too.
  7. Thanks again Hot Heart for helping me with the Weekly Heroic! It got me those snazzy new Radiant Dance Machine boots! I think it was my connection because as I'm playing right now, enemies are either invisible or pop up when I enter an area. I even have a clip I'll edit into this post later on with some weirdness from all the lag.
  8. Did the Steam version not come with the Bonus Episode? (By bonus I mean it was a cut out episode.) It's the one with the female vampire client, Betty I believe, wanting you to kill the other "vampire." Anyway, I may sound critical of the game, but know that's because the game left an odd aftertaste when I sat back from completing it long ago. I do care about story, so the seemingly chief concern with Killer is Dead being how stylized can one make weird. You can let players fill in gaps, but to a reasonable degree. Hell, if you didn't play the vampire episode, you're probably even more confused about the unicorn. If you read that out loud, you probably realize how crazy that seems, but probably not as crazy as Mondo wanting to bang an ancient vampire.
  9. Common Core is indeed quite a mixed bag from my experience with it. Education always goes through different teaching methods, so it's hard to say if this will truly stick around. Doesn't help that parents essentially can't help their kids with math when they don't know the "tricks" to the process. That's what Common Core seems to strive for, at least of what I've touched upon. A friend's kid had some homework, so I tried helping out with their division. The method they were taught was baffling to me and keep in mind I excelled in mathematics through my education years.
  10. I have my favorites, just don't let them know. Except Ocarina of Time; they all know Ocarina is my favorite.
  11. Killer is Dead is a fairly decent game that plays great. It purposely plays up the weird factor and that ends up hurting what story there might be in the game. Everything else is up to your personal taste and preference.
  12. Pretty much Virtual Console games and any in-game media is the only purpose/use I've had for the SD card. Otherwise I've got an old HDD in an enclosure for the larger items.
  13. I love all Zelda games equally, even the black sheep Zelda II: Link's Adventure. The CDi games are filthy bastards best left in the basement. Anywho, Ashens has a pretty good look at the New Nintendo 3DS.
  14. I tip out of generosity and don't go by any percentage. I've heard horror stories of local restaurants getting upset over customers not tipping enough or at all. If that ever happens to me, then I'll stop going there. Not much else to it because I'm the one handing out extra cash to another person.
  15. I thought it was just handhelds, but now I see they carry the recent Vita model. Back when I was looking for a Vita, it was all third parties that carried the handheld and at a premium too. I once heard Amazon personally didn't like carrying 3DS handhelds early on because they were getting returns on defective components. Part of me can't believe that's something that holds true today. Considering Amazon Main HQ and Nintendo of America are in the same state, I would think they could easily get together about... whatever it is. Maybe some of the interns got in a brawl when grabbing coffee and they've got a mad turf war going down.
  16. It's not the definition of "nickel and dime" though. The AC adapter would be, not to mention anyone wanting to buy Wii games through the eShop and having to use a Wiimote if that is the only control method allowed. Pricing differences is an industry wide "we can't properly calculate cost for each region, so this seems fair."
  17. Amazon Canada sells video game handhelds? For the longest time Amazon for the US of A hasn't stocked handhelds except through third party sellers. I don't particularly mind as I buy my devices in-store and you can still get your games from Amazon itself. As for the cord, official response: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/01/14/new-3dsxl-doesnt-include-charger-here-are-some-options According to Nintendo, it was a measure designed to save costs for consumers who may already own a 3DS or DSi system: "New Nintendo 3DS XL uses the same AC adapter as any Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo DSi system. Rather than raise cost of New Nintendo 3DS XL by charging consumers for a component they may already own, we are giving them the option to only buy if they need an AC adapter. EDIT: While I'm covered on an AC adapter and there are certainly people who complain about having duplicate cables, you still should supply the damn thing that's the only method to charge the device. I find it hard to believe an AC adapter for a 3DS is truly an expensive component.
  18. I was happy that I was getting more bang for my buck and I got to switch to Luigi. I now know what to spend the rest of my gift card on.
  19. I honestly wonder if Nintendo does put any consideration into naming, like a focus group or gathering some in-house personnel to discuss the merits of expanding one's vocabulary. I just picture Reggie receiving a phone call or video conferencing with Iwata and Miyamoto about the latest 3DS development. Iwata: Mr. Reggie Fils-Aime, we will soon announce our latest development in the Nintendo 3DS product line. Reggie: This is exciting news to hear Mr. Iwata. If I may, what's the new product we'll be introducing some time soon. Iwata: It is the New Nintendo 3DS, a new Nintendo 3DS. Reggie: ... Come again? Iwata: A new Nintendo 3DS, the New Nintendo 3DS. Miyamoto: Satoru, hold on, you didn't actually go ahead with that one, right? Iwata: Whatever do you mean? Miyamoto: That was a joke name we added to the pool to liven up the selection. Reggie: That's a name?! Iwata: ... Reggie: Well?! Iwata: Please understand.
  20. Forgot to post that I finished Season 2 of Young Justice a few days ago. I marathon'd through it because the series most certainly grew on me. Shame it and similar shows were thrown out the 83rd floor's window in favor of focusing on a handful of comedy animations. I remember a few years ago catching a few episodes and being turned off by newer team members, but I never got to properly see the whole team interact so now I grew to like most characters. Impulse was a bit difficult though as he was played up as the ADHD future kid with no other dimension than that one. Truth being he was rather serious, if not jaded about what has happened in the future. I guess I could go into spoiler territory, though I'm not sure who here has watched the whole series: All in all, I got a strong Justice League ('00 era) and Justice League Unlimited vibe from the show. That's a great thing and if this series had continued further we could have seen it become a classic.
  21. On the current 3DS there was an update where the "5 System Transfers" limitation was removed. It has only been a year though so it's relatively current given the lifespan.
  22. This I agree with, so I'm content with my physical copy of Punch-Out!! Though I do make the except for a few digital exclusives, i.e. Mighty Switch Force.
  23. Sue me, but I'm a little willing to bite. I haven't read up yet if owning a New 3DS allows you to do a System Transfer from a 3DS. Given I have a digital game or two, and Nintendo doesn't quite have the proper account system yet, that's one thing stalling myself on a possible upgrade. EDIT: And I'm okay with the Limited Edition Majora's Mask (New) 3DS XL not coming with the game. That gives me the freedom of trying to find the Limited Editon of the game with Skull Kid statue! I'm such a whore...
  24. Good thing the Wii U came with a sensor bar that's still plugged into my console. Not to mention that if you've been relatively housing a Nintendo console the last eight years, there's a good chance you have at least a single Wiimote with Nunchuk laying around. Probably has some crusty batteries installed in it, or maybe you got fancy and have one of those recharging devices from Nyko or Energizer. Just having Metroid Prime Trilogy and Punch-Out!! soon to be available is goods news. Those games are ridiculously expensive used given they went out of printed so many years ago. I should know because I bought Punch-Out!! off eBay over a year ago for a, as I remember, fair amount.
  25. I'll give it some time and probably let more exclusive games that require the handheld to come out before I throw down the money.
