  1. Originally I was Grookey Gang, but with the amount of people abandoning Sobble and me being alright with its final evolution, I went with Sobble. I caught both a male and female Eevee before the first gym. I turned the male into a Leafeon and it's both amazing and bizarre to have a Leafeon so early in the game. My OP Yamper turned into Boltund tonight. Not so electric corgi now, but I'll keep her no matter what!
  2. I got your back, Mal. I'm eight hours in, and while I've got some qualms with it, I've got my electric corgi with its overpowered Egg Move. We're going to trash all these Gym Leaders and punch Hop in the face every TIME!
  3. All I want to do today is catch me an electric corgi.

I named mine "Derp!" since it's pretty derpy looking dog but once it evolved the name was no longer accurate.

  4. Why must my wallet suffer this harsh winter?
  5. Like, I may actually go see it now. I'll probably cringe really hard at times, but the redesign is so GOOD!
  6. Oh hey, maybe we should move this to Multiplatform Games after the news of it coming to PC in Summer 2020. So for everyone with the game, what d'ya think so far? It's definitely not Phantom Pain w/ Norman Reedus. And certainly, from looking online, this is such a divisive game. Kojima is in full effect and it's possible that's not necessarily for the best. Like, the naming of things are blatantly in your face and the plot sometimes drags its feet with tropes when you know the game has to go on. Like in the beginning... to keep in vague, why go through all that when Sam is going to deliver?
  7. It's basically the same concept, though it pretty much phased out the original RTX 2060 and 2070.
  8. @FLD Dude, finish them! Demon Slayer is sooooooooo good! Of course Golden Wind is, but don't sleep on Demon Slayer.
  9. So with all the leaks, the Pokemon community has been in a maelstrom of both joy and anger. Depending on the hour, you'll find people either excited for new Pokemon or making self-righteous manifestos about the evils of GameFreak. And here I am waiting to make my new Pokemon team with my girlfriend. The issue is mainly that Pokemon reached a point where a mainline game couldn't contain over a thousand Pokemon. While I think Pokemon Home (formally Bank) should have been better implemented to satisfy the hardcore, and maybe sell older titles to obtain "missing" Pokemon, I know from an actual developer standpoint why this was done. What's the point of introducing new Pokemon, inflating the numbers, adding more mono-types and similar dual-types, when they'll likely get overshadowed by the established Pokemon that fit the same role. You're essentially adding redundancy for the sake of something brand new. And forget not adding new Pokemon for another mainline series. That's an established requirement that must never be broken! However, let's be honest: If GameFreak ever made an "ultimate" Pokemon game with all available Pokemon in the biggest and grandest adventure, you could never top it. It's like Smash Ultimate where it's hard to believe it'll ever be topped in the series just by its sheer scale. There are still valid points of contention, like Charizard being the only past Starter present in the game. Even as a brand ambassador, it feels that Charizard has obtained a level greater than its original compatriots. I mean, I'll live, but if I posted half this stuff anywhere else I would be tarred and feathered by children and manchilden alike.
  10. Wow, that's screwed up! Sounds like the kind of guy who will try to bullshit his way around the issue. Was it clothing and such? If so, I don't know what kind of defense he could come up with... Like, even if he tries to say the items were "thank you" gifts, that's got to be easily refutable.
  11. Re: GameStop Customer Service So over a month ago I ordered the Hori Split Pad Pro controller because on their site it said it was "In Stock." Turns out that was a lie and there was no stock for the item. I patiently waited for a month. Called to find out when they would be expecting to have more. I had to put in my phone number for a callback because the queue was too long. About 90 minutes later I get the call only to be put on hold for an hour. When I get a live person, he tells me they have no clue when they're getting more. A few days later I looked on Amazon and they had it back in stock. I couldn't cancel my order on GameStop because the other items in the order had already shipped. (Has to be over $50 for free shipping and $49.99 doesn't count...) Long queue again, so callback. That took over an hour and I was put on hold for almost 20 minutes. So shorter time, but the last couple minutes I was holding, the phone was ringing. Like the agent wasn't picking up! The person struggles to understand my order, though to be fair it sounded like they were new. Still, I was at work and didn't have a lot of time to waste on repeating order numbers and stressing that GameStop has failed in their delivery of an "In Stock" item. Left very salty customer feedback when I got the email for their survey. I've worked in a call center so I know a few things here and there. There might be training going on for the upcoming holidays. Still, I'm getting the impression that their phone agents must be tucked away in a utility closet in some random Texan warehouse with the queue times they have (and lack of etiquette).
  12. What if I told you I'm looking forward to this more than a main entry film?
  13. GameStop Customer Service is horrendously awful. I could go into detail in a thread, but just know it's better to stay away from this dying beast.

@TheMightyEthan Gonna put it in the angry thread. Way too long for here.

  14. It gets worse. The private servers are reused worlds with dead NPCs. The whole Scrap Vault (or whatever) is getting rid of players previously acquired scrap too. Whoever thought of getting this "Fallout First" is a sucker and whatever value they had in Fallout 76 has been diminished even more.
  15. I'm excited, but at the same time I don't like how Abrams has directed another Star Wars film relying on the original trilogy. Using Palpatine, the second Death Star... Say what you will about The Last Jedi, but at least it went outside the norm. Also, I still stand by my theory of "The Rise of Skywalker" referring to Kylo Ren redeeming himself and embracing his Skywalker linage rather than the Vader imagery. That scene where him and Rey are smashing some item (probably an illusion) hints that Palpatine might be both their enemy.
  16. Speaking of new hobbies... I use to have two G Gundam model kits as a kid. Only had a pair of scissors and nail clippers, so the models were rough in certain spots. I played with mine though during the show, so it wasn't a big deal. I don't believe my parents kept them and while I've been watching some Gundam on VRV, I got the itch to build a model with my hands again. I got the box today and it's definitely going to be a weekend kind of project. I also have another on the way, one from my favorite Gundam series: The 08th MS Team!
  17. Zombieland: Double Tap I was concerned about how a sequel to a film a full decade ago would fair. Turns out, pretty dang well! Part of my doubt was that overall I feel zombies are in a lull period now in pop culture. We've got so much zombie media that there's not a big draw to it. Personally, The Last of Us Part II is the only "zombie" type media I'm looking forward to. Funnily enough, the film begins with Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) saying that of all the zombie media choices out there, he's glad you chose to watch the film. It's a solid comedy throughout the whole thing. I don't even want to put any spoiler tags because the moment-to-moment hilarity and suspense is what makes this film. Not to mention that Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson are top-notch as their characters. Emma Stone was a little rough at first, but as the movie goes on her performance gets back on track. The new characters add to the movie and make it a little refreshing. If you're a fan of the original, this is a worthy sequel of your time and money.
  18. Yeah, the joycons on my OG Switch are firm, though I don't use it in handheld mode a ton. @Mister Jack I too have RingFit Adventure. I needed a more interesting way to continue working out rather than an app bugging me.
  19. Did you delete the save data? I think that's all you need. Just proof you've played it.
  20. So unique forms for Gigantamax, but... To get chubby Pikachu it seems I'd have to have played Let's Go Pikachu... And then people getting grumpy about Charizard having another form, but Charizard is one of the most favored Pokemon. Like, he gets this attention for a reason. Even r/pokemon's own favorite poll had him as #1. The point of it was to show every Pokemon is someone's favorite, but it bit them in the butt by showing the fame of Charizard. And this is coming from someone who prefers Blastoise.
  21. Got a good laugh yesterday when children were freaking out over Fortnite's Blackhole. Now it's Blizzard canceling their Overwatch on Switch launch party in NYC. Gee, wonder why. ?

  22. You know, I would put Joker on the higher end of OK for this thread. I think the film is fine for what it is; that nothing is done horribly in comparison to the likes of Suicide Squad. The primary problem I have with the film is that this Joker isn't what you might expect out of a potential supervillain. Honestly it might have been better to remove the DC coating and have this standout on it's own about a disturbed man that has been let down by both the city and the people around him. The traits that make Joker the Joker aren't here. Sure this Joker eventually goes off his rocker, but he typically has a plan of some type and an unexpected genius to it. Presentation and atmosphere are great as well as the setting. This film definitely instills the sense that Gotham is an absolute hellhole and maybe would be better off to burn to the ground. The people are terrible, the government is terrible, and most everywhere you look it's a trash heap. That is... Overall, I view this Joker as only a catalyst of chaos rather than an agent. So I guess that would mean I prefer Heath Ledger's Joker, at least in the confines of a cinematic film.
  23. Blizzard may have a clause in their official rules or whatever, but all it really means is that they're damn cowards. Free Speech is always a tricky subject online, especially in the confines of using a platform that isn't your own. Still, in this age of social media and technology, you can't just expect banning someone and taking all their prize earnings over a political statement to go well for you. It's scary to think that somehow the Chinese market is so large/powerful that it overrides rational thought. Any other time a company might make a statement of where they stand, but here Blizzard robs the guy and pushes him out onto the street to then get hit by a bus. Metaphorically speaking, though I'm sure if the Chinese government wanted, they have done worse all for that sweet, sweet Yuan!
  24. Oh good, looks like Mephisto didn't break up another relationship this time.
  25. I got as far as the second phase of the final boss and that's where I quit. Going past that infamous jump and having to repeat all of Stage 6 I don't know how many times, it was too grueling for me to take anymore. Congrats on beating it!
