  1. I'm looking into PC upgrades now. I've got the CPU in mind and a few comparisons for Mobo and CPU cooler. What I can't decide on is the case. My graphics card just barely made it in, so I've got to consider a new case. What brand or particular case would you guys recommend?
  2. All of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and I mean all of it. Nothing like taking the bad ending route on NG++! I even lost my mind for a moment at... So yeah, I guess "a shinobi would know the difference between honor and victory." 34/34 Steam Achievements!
  3. I love the Switch Pro Controller. It's great for PC. That is all.

  4. So I got through my NG+ and did a litle save backup to get both Purification and Immortal Serverance. It took a minute or two, but the Switch Pro Controller is a solid and responsive controller. If I could beat the final boss with it in under an hour, it's worthy of being used on the PC! Now I need to do my Shura run to get the remaining Steam achievements. Considering I farmed in my NG+ run, I don't have to worry about gather XP.
  5. Might as well post this, for a laugh. Purchase a PS4 Pro Console and receive a free PlayStation Classic! I mean, if people are going to buy the best thing Sony has to offer right now, might as well throw in the worst thing Sony has to offer too!
  6. So my Xbox One controller broke this afternoon. Not of my own doing, but straight up the left bumper hinge fractured. I was fighting the final boss of Sekiro on NG+ and I noticed my guard and deflects were randomly not working. Thought it was the game, but I looked down and the left bummer was popped out. I looked into it and it seems to happen. So sure, I could try to super glue it or order a replacement part, but at this point I'm thinking I'll get the Switch Pro Controller. I had that adapter where my Xbox One controller could work on all current platforms, but I learned that quite a bit of games on the Switch rely on digital triggers and not analog triggers. Anyone use the Switch Pro Controller for their Steam games? Anything to be aware of?
  7. Still processing what I saw and experienced. I don't necessarily want to go into a lot of detail. I could discuss more, but my battery is dying and there's still so much to process. Definitely a Top 5 (or 3) Marvel film, hands down.
  8. Gonna be seeing Endgame tonight! A lot of the later showtimes were sold out, but for some reason there was more than enough availability at 6:30 PM. The film nears the 3 hour mark, if I remember correctly. I'd rather get out of the theater right before 10 and not 12:30 AM!
  9. But I've got to have something until 2020! Right? rIGhT?!
  10. Yeah, you make a good point. My only reservation (though reality is often disappointing) was how it would affect Pepper Potts. She can never catch a break, though it's part of their dynamic. Much like...
  11. Well, it's not exactly Persona 5, but I'll take it!
  12. Was listening to a "spoiler free" review and pretty sure it still spoiled something.
  13. I found Sakura easier, but it's also near the end of the game and you should have the knowledge and skills to handle essentially the same miniboss. Not to mention it's far easier to get the thing to stun itself than the first version. When I faced the other version on NG+, I could handle it because I had so much in my arsenal. Initially, he's a chunky boy. I believe part of the problem is that the strategy of running around him is flawed and it makes the battle last far longer than needed. I used deflects, firecrackers, and got him to run into a wall which took about 2 minutes max.
  14. I haven't seen any spoilers, but from people who have been spoiled they talk about how the ending is going to be divisive. I'm taking it with a grain of salt because most people haven't actually seen the film still. Not to mention there's always going to be the party poopers who doubt all the positive reviews and the butthurt DC fanboys who are envious. If time travel is involved, I always expect things to either get messy for our characters or for things to not turn out peachy for someone in particular. The question you have to ask yourself is who do you think could suffer the most while the universe could go on. Like I can't see Thor suffering anymore after all the loss he has suffered and it's about time the Asgardians catch a break. Steve Rogers however, he's kinda that "soldier without a nation" character that could easily conclude once this monumental mission is completed. Not to say he has nothing to live for, but he has been in the fight for so long that it might be more like a deserved rest. Which brings me to Tony Stark. You'll find a fair amount of people who suspect he'll die, what with being the longest running character in terms of the MCU. I suspect, or in actuality hope, Tony Stark retires. This would however open up the can of worms of who will replace him. In the comics, that hasn't worked in Marvel's favor with Riri Williams. Still, who's to say there has to be an Iron Man? Certainly, that idea alone would be divisive.
  15. So Persona 5 is now a Greatest Hits title, meaning it's MSRP is $20. Earlier this month marked the game's two year anniversary, so it makes sense. What doesn't make sense is where the Switch port is?! Joker is now in Smash, and while that hasn't always meant platform representation, all the other characters have technically been on a Nintendo console. If you didn't know, Final Fantasy VII is available on Switch. The only hope is this week on the 25th, the date marked on https://p5s.jp/
  16. Finally sat down to finish this game last night. I farmed Lump of Grave Wax and Fulminated Mercury to get two upgrades with the Lapis Lazuli I had. Considering you need a second playthrough to get all the Prosthetic Tool upgrades, I wanted to ensure I had two of the final four upgrades before NG+. I'm not ashamed of the cheese for You-Know-Who! But speaking of, I learned yesterday from VaatiVidya's video that... I was missing 4 Prayer Beads, so I looked up a guide and luckily 3 of the 4 were environment items. The one mini-boss I almost forgot about was the one under Isshin's room (during the final phase of the game). Dude will not give you a chance to heal if you Resurrect. Not difficult necessarily, but again, he doesn't give you any breathing room. There was the hidden room in the same area of Ashina Castle, the cave ledge in Gun Fort, and the river in Mibu Village. I found some other stuff in Mibu Village, so it was worth the trip. That final boss, man. I'll admit, I got flustered at times to where I would go into the "first phase" and do something stupid. The silvergrass sucks because it hides some unblockable attacks, where you need to see how they're holding their weapon. To me, this was a pure Posture damage type of boss battle. I would go through certain phases fast because I wasn't afraid to deflect certain attacks others say to dodge/run around. I only ever made it to the final phase twice. On the second time I popped a Bundled Jizo Statue because the Posture meter was so close and I had 4 uses of the Healing Gourd left. I never thought to use one in battle, and truthfully there's so few in the game that you'd use it only if you were sure it would help. Thing is, I knew he was out for blood and if I stopped to heal, he would catch up to me and kill me. So I popped the Bundled Jizo Statue, he stabs me with that, I Resurrect with more health, heal, just survive his onslaught, and END IT!
  17. Not unless it has RRRIIIDDDGGGEEE RACER!
  18. So I haven't been able to jump back into the game in a while, but that might be for the best because I found a special blend of cheese for a certain fiery boss.
  19. All kinds of media that came out after Return of the Jedi, so you know. It's an ironic aspect to Light versus Dark when it comes to the goals of both the Jedi and Sith. Sith seek power and a means to keep that power, in so much to seek immortality through various means. The Jedi don't inherently have a desire for immortality as they view death being essential to the natural balance of the Force. Still, if there was a need for it, a Jedi could obtain the hidden ability Jedi alone are capable of. Bare in mind there has been so much flip-floping of lore and theory that at this point Abrams could be a complete dick and flip the switch and people would probably just shrug their shoulders. Ben's mother is a Skywalker, so it's part of his heritage just as how he views Darth Vader, his maternal grandfather. What I'm driving at is that like in Return of the Jedi and Revenge of the Sith, near the end there's going to be a shift in Ben's character to commit an ultimate act that turns the tides. Ben acting upon something good could be seen as him realizing his Skywalker lineage, hence he rises from the Darth Vader allusion.
  20. I got myself the VR Starter Kit, so just the VR Goggles and Blaster. The goggles don't take long to assemble, though it was also my first experience with the Labo software so it personally took me a little longer. The software's instructional portion is top notch. Really has that Nintendo shine to it. The Blaster took me 4 hours (including breaks). Made for a neat activity Saturday afternoon. It's hard to tell from the promotional images, but there's a lot of cardboard that goes into the thing. It's sturdy though and for good reason as there's a "clacker" mechanism inside. When you push the trigger, it snaps forward and activates... something to the right Joy-Con's IR. It makes use of some reflective sticker material inside, so uber high tech here. I could see a Pokemon Snap working as Pokemon has rarely ever been highly detailed when it comes to visuals. (Pokken Tournament being the outlier.) The games I've played so far have been visually entertaining and could see another on-rails adventure. I don't have the Camera though and don't know if that would translate well. Might just be a VR goggles only type of game instead.
  21. If he appears as a force ghost, then that itself is a retcon because only Jedi are suppose to be able to achieve sentience in the Force after their death with the proper training. Darth Bane appearing in Clone Wars was explained as a vision/illusion to test Yoda's resolve. I hope they don't go down the clone route. That was in Legends and at this point in Star Wars I feel we're past clones. I honestly can't think of a way for Palpatine to be cleanly inserted into The Rise of Skywalker. If a replica droid is an option, then we've basically got Space Mecha-Hitler. Otherwise, I have to imagine that Kylo Ren (Ben Solo) would dig deep into the Dark Side and think to himself that for him to become or even surpass Darth Vader, he would need the knowledge of his grandfather's master. Snoke was not a Sith and he most certainly didn't plan on abiding by the Rule of Two. Kylo Ren only defeated his master by trickery, which is an option for Sith, but it leaves a power gap if you didn't learn most everything they had to offer as a master. I imagine the significance of "The Rise of Skywalker" is Kylo Ren realizing his mistakes and ultimately dismantling the First Order. A near parallel to when his grandfather turned on Palpatine to rescue Luke and thwart both a personal and galactic evil. Essentially Ben will own up to the Skywalker heritage and not the persona of Darth Vader.
  22. The new Chromium based Edge is actually good. It's only in Dev Channel, so don't expect everything to be perfect. Still, it's better than the clunky mess that is original Edge.

    1. TheFlyingGerbil

      TheFlyingGerbil

I liked the original Edge - it was fast, did not take up much space and always worked with sites that wonked in Chrome, so I'm disappointed it's moved over to Chromium as I have no non-chromium options now as firefox is a steaming pile of turd.

Hopefully it moving to Chromium though will make sites stop wonking in Chrome so much. A major reason that happens is that MS made its browsers execute things in non-standard ways, then sites would be built to utilize MS's non-standard implementations, so then they break in other browsers. If MS is going to come in line with the standards that problem may fade.

  23. I was never embarrassed of Sheikah88 because the Sheikah in The Legend of Zelda are, like, the coolest. But rarely did people on PlayStation know how to pronounce it. That or they thought I was using "sheikh" which was awkward. So now I am the very honorable CorgiShinobi on PSN! I'm just glad I don't have numbers anymore. Nothing personal if you like em in your name, just I feel it's old hat online identity requirement hoopla no one really wanted.
