  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eidos_Montreal "According to D'Astous, unlike other video game development studios Eidos Montreal's development cycle is characterized by smaller teams (totaling 350 people) working over a longer period." Eidos itself of course has several studios. The studio that is Eidos Montreal is not big enough to develop two AAA titles at once. I don't get how you can be so upset that you're not getting a slightly reworked version of a game you clearly enjoyed anyways. Also, what makes this a joke? It's some random studio making a mobile game related to the series. If you don't want it (don't say no one, because people always want more games) then don't play it. Are you also going to bitch about how there's a book so you're missing out on that story as well?
  2. So you just want a slightly improved version of a game you already have played and if you don't get it you're done? ...are you retarded? Once again, the main studio is working on Thief. If you were expecting a full-on game then you only set yourself up for disappoint. At most I was expecting some hastily thrown together side-story developed by another team. Well, I guess this is that, but on an iPad.
  3. So it's basically a tablet version of HR. No big deal. What was everyone expecting with the team working on Thief?
  4. I actually saw Episode 5 the other day for the first time in ages and I can't say that I thought many of the things that were happening in the plot were believable. I'm not sure if it was a matter of mediocre script writing, bad acting, or a combination of both but I couldn't find any enjoyment outside of it being some fluffy easy to follow sci-fi story. Just motivations and actions seemed very off in a lot of small ways. The overall plot worked but the way characters reacted to situations or even when there wasn't much going on just didn't seem to fit. Then again, maybe I'm just making the mistake of trying to take it too seriously.
  5. Sorry, but people like that existed far before the term hipster was used for "anyone who isn't me that I don't like." But yeah... as someone who read the books that was still a hell of a scene. Not really happy about them killing off Jeyne though... especially if that's implying something about the books.
  6. Can you lose an E3? What a weird concept.
  7. Start menu always opens on the last monitor you used it on so that's never confusing, too, and the fact that you can launch it from any monitor.
  8. Actually in this case I don't. I understand why someone wouldn't want to upgrade but an outright buy? Windows 8 easy.
  9. I guess this is where I'm confused as I can't think of anything that requires a disc anymore.
  10. For any sticklers worried about the start button it's coming in SP1 8.1
  11. If you don't like the full screen start menu just install classic shell and maintain all of the other improvements. It's not a matter of obtuse it's a matter of having a more up to date OS with more features. I don't see how I'm being intentionally obtuse. Do you think I like Windows 8 because it makes other people upset that someone else learned how to use it?
  12. What are you going to use it for? Seems so odd to see that. And what does Nero do that you can't do elsewhere or with built-in windows features? This seems like it's out of 2001.
  13. Why would you go for the outdated OS that runs worse if you have the choice? That logic makes no sense.
  14. I was talking the other way around. You can also spend less than the cost of the game.
  15. I could be wrong here but wasn't the expectation for these titles to do more than break even but that's all that ended up happening? This was revealed in the follow-ups after the initial "didn't meet expectations" news.
  16. You know, you don't have to buy the game to Kickstart something. This whole "Kickstarter as a pre-order" mentality isn't the point of Kickstarter.
  17. Newegg lists it pretty terriblly but the 4 games are Crysis 3, Bioshock Infinite, Farcry 3 Blood Dragon (stand-alone), and Tomb Raider.
  18. Odin Sphere was a long ass game for how little content there was. Could be the same here.
  19. They're addressing the settings issue in 8.1. Though I think I've seen a modern UI based settings page like once since first install.
  20. Yeah but they are tweaking even how this works and we don't know the full extent of if things like launch to desktop will be true. This: "You can view all apps just by swiping from the bottom to view all apps, and we’ve added the ability to filter your apps by name, date installed, most used, or by category. You want the Start screen to be about all the things you love. So when you install a new app from the Windows Store, we no longer put that app on your Start screen. Instead, you’ll find these apps under apps view as mentioned above and marked as “new” where you can choose to pin the apps you want to your Start screen." Will deal with a lot of people who don't want to bother organizing anything even though it ends up being far more convenient in the long run.
  21. I just can't get past how clunky the gameplay is.
  22. Well with the Wii U it's required whereas on PS4 it would be purely optional whereas the only requirement is that the game plays on the Vita and not that it supplements anything.
  23. It is my understanding that this is for remote play and not for enhancing PS4 games.
